I did leg 3 of the 15/16 race on board CV27. It was horrendous. F12 the night we left Cape Town. I saw 106knots on the wind gauge (split second - not a real reading). Every 3-5 days proper bad weather. Only time warm on leaving my bunk, wet and freezing the rest of the time. God, I miss it! The people......
If you miss it maybe get work on a trawler ... I think fishermen get these experiences very often AND they get paid for it rather than constantly coughing up cash. Just a suggestion. 🌊😊
