Hey man love your work I just moved to Wodonga VIC with my wife from Memphis Tennessee USA I am a fridgy from USA and I’ve been thrown into inverter tech which I love but is challenging. Your videos are very helpful I was wondering where do you get your test leads from I need thin ones and Jay car don’t have them
    Thanks mate

Hey mate. Congratulations on the move, that’s massive! They can be tricky. If you haven’t already, pick yourself up an inverter checker. Can grab them from most suppliers. So handy to have for working on these units. My small probes are part of the Fieldpiece kit I got with my multimeter. They do sell them as a seperate kit though. My local Kirby HVACR sells them, but it seems like the closet Kirby to you is in Wagga Wagga. I’m sure you could find them online too. Hope this helps 🤙

For the 1,000th subscriber video, can you please do a video on servicing/maintaining some exhaust fans?

I’ve been waiting to see one to try and make some form of video on it but it feels like I’ve been doing nothing but repairs and breakdowns for the past few weeks. I also don’t see much outside of a Fantech single/three phase direct drive motor. I’ll see how I go. Cheers mate.

Hey mate. The screenshot is from the 2020 Service Training Manual. Do you have the ServiceME app? If you do on go to the “manuals online” section and scroll down to the “service training” bit. In there you’ll see a link to the training manual. It’s mainly for their P and M series but there is some handy info in there.
If you can’t find it let me know and I’ll try to email the file across 🤙

Hi, Thanks for the upload. Shall we check DC or AC current for the inverter compressor? I see you were checking the AC current on this compressor. The inverter compressor is supposed to be DC? Did you also check fan motor current as well ? Fan motor can take out the board sometimes.

Hey mate. As far as I’m aware checking with AC is ok. I’ve asked Mitsubishi Electric about it and they said it was ok. I guess because I’m testing after the inverter PCB it’s still being supplied as a synthetic AC supply.

Thanks mate. They do. They don’t run them all the time but I gave them a call and put my name down. Well worth it.

    You rate the sc680 mate?

I like it. It’s been able to do everything I’ve needed so far. I had some people mention they’ve had issues and their after sales support isn’t great. Luckily I haven’t had to deal with them 😂
