I guess raising the price of loafers from 670 to 990 a pair over 2 years didn’t turn out to be a winning long term strategy after all. Now they’ll look cheap and undesirable if they lower prices. They’re not recovering any time soon.

Ditto. Now Gucci and other luxury brands increased their SAME EXACT products by more than +60% and then the problem is that replicas are now so popular and so well done, that these brands have lost their "exclusivity & scarcity".

No Gucci consumer wants it to become Hermès. Gucci’s offerings are overpriced by 30-40%. They increased prices too fast, like many other luxury brands, but they don’t have the brand equity to do so without affecting sales.

No wonder, by increasing to insane prices, I bough a shoe in 2021 for 620€ and now the same shoe is about 950€ and over, then their Fashion can't be wore, only clowns could go on the streets dressed like that. They had Tom Ford and lost him...Too bad for them, none of their designers have Tom Ford unique class

I feel for them. Missing out on billions. My heart breaks...... Whatever
Gucci was a fluke. It was Alessandro Michele who gave them a shot in the arm but greedy Kering wanted more and lost him.
It's not our problem really is it. I remember when COVID kicked in and all these huge companies were struggling. Made me realise when things get tough in the world, bags and shoes are not that important. Maybe they need to manage their finances and expectations of brands better.

They are also which is why the price increases were announced as stopping for awhile. Besides you can’t alienate an entire customer base and think you won’t suffer for it. The 1% that they want to walk in the door is nice but they aren’t keeping the lights on and paying the rent. The customer base you just labeled “aspirational “ and made it impossible to shop your brand did. Salaries didn’t increase with inflation so this is a bad strategy that they are ALL paying for right now. They gambled and gambled WRONG.

To saw the new collection. It looks beautiful. Very chic and wearable. Similar to the Tom Ford days. It is doing very well in NYC. Like it was said in the video, l don't know if the new collection has been fully rolled out to all of the stores yet which is silly. I know a few stores in the midwest didn't have it yet and the SA's were not happy about it. This was maybe 3 weeks ago. Hopefully they have it now.

I love Gucci ready-to-wear, but I bought these pants that (my fault) were unlined and turned out to be incredibly itchy. I contacted Gucci in person and via email. They basically told me to take it to the cleaners and /or there's nothing they can (will) do. For the price of the garment, I was very disappointed in 1. the quality, 2. the option they provided to remedy this and 3. quality - a wool pant from Gucci should have been lined in silk or high quality material. This was my mistake and I'm just one person, but I'd likely not shop at Gucci again in the future.
