@Darkdiver28 The communist Chinese government.. the same ones that disappear people that speak out against them, and run death camps are major shareholders in tercent. That means all your info is open to them, and they can funnel ideology to you through the game, like on tik tok. The Chinese got and the west are in a silent cold war for the future, and they've already interfered in the film industry, and games even more so. Wake up,before it's too late..
I feel like tencent has realised that COD and BF have faltered in the past few years and are hoping to fill the gap. This is especially true looking at how it's free. Seeing as that was WW3s downfall, this gives me some hope for a good game with hopefully not terrible monetization.
yeah they're definitely aware about the stigma of asian games and gaming culture. I hope they're seeking to rectify this because we desperately need quality competition.
Personally, since Tencent already has their hands in basically every major game at this point, their involvement here doesn't bother me much, especially since Delta Force is dwarfed by CoD and League of Legends, where I'm sure Tencent focus more of their gaming centric attention. Generally, the thing that makes me hyped is what also concerns me. The devs are clearly taking an approach of lifting what works about other major franchises and putting it together in one game without overly reinventing the wheel. So Call of Duty animations, weapon customization, and visual representation of gunplay along with Battlefield style chaos, BF4 era art direction, and combined arms with hints of games like Tarkov for their extraction mode. This works because they're not trying to outdo those other games at things they've perfected. They're just copying them. My experience working with Chinese engineers in my career leads me to feel screenshots and recordings of these other games were likely used in the design, product, and implementation processes since it's all so, so, similar and China has a much more lenient and loose culture about intellectual property. So they're not pulling a DICE and throwing out things that we know work and just starting from scratch. This means the polish will likely be top notch upon release (at least by modern standards), but I'm concerned about what future content after launch will look like and how a team like this can keep the game balanced throughout its lifecycle since the game seems developed with an approach that focuses on creating a megazord of other games rather than having its own identity, innovation, and creativity. I think there's uncertainty once they have less "reference material" with which to work.
I can't get behind a game that of all games, it chose to copy and paste BF2042's homework but made it look a little different. That flag is blood red, there's NO WAY I'm supporting this title
Its definitely a "heavily inspired" game, to a point that it takes mechanics from other games it shouldnt, like the stability/flinch/visual recoil aspects from cod/codm, or the operators, but at the same time the content from the alpha would suggest that the devs actually play videogames and it results in a better execution than 2042. The abilities are there, but its rare that you feel completely bullshitted by them, they are strong enough to give you an advantage, but weak enough to not be free kills in most circumstances. Most importantly though, the two maps from the technical test have that "BF3 Feeling" to them, in the sense that you can see and feel the thought behind the placement of cover, pathways and power positions, e.g. some windows are boarded up to prevent a straight look into the spawn, roofs/positions with oversight generally tend to be fairly low and have a tendency to make you vulnerable from two or more sides, the miscellaneous cover is placed in way that it creates lanes for 1v1 fights, and the distances you need to bridge are small enough that you can cover them with smoke, which keeps the flow up. Biggest weak point right now is imo the gunplay with all the visual recoil, flinch and suppression, ymmv depending on the weapon, but if they can tweak that down, and the rest of the maps show the same level of care, then i do not mind throwing some(or a lot) cash at it, no other games on the horizon anyway, the thing i hope for is that it shows western devs that gameplay quality matters.
I don't trust Chinese tencent, what they have done to cod mobile is horrible. Delta force is just a waiting room for next battlefiled. Also the game is free to play, so I don't think there will be much content and they will just release skins (cringe skins and it's not a content) and mid maps. I will try it but meh. Delta force to battlefield is what XDefiant is to COD
its shit in optimization because cod devs didn't wanna work with tencent, it was working when they were working with tencent cuz they have best studio for making mobile games
With free games, I always expect the worst with MTX. Which monetization is a very valid concern, but as long as the gameplay loop is fun, free of problems and has good support in content then really idc about cosmetics and shit like that, I never bought into that and never will, default skins ftw.
A small burp could make a significant improvement on 2042. So, it wouldn't take much to make a better Battlefield. EA have a battle on their hands. It's about time they had their arrogant backsides kicked into action.
The devs are the same ones who made COD Mobile. And whats with Americans always fear mongering about Chinese spying😂. Relax guys, ur not that important 😂 i don’t think the too secret chinese agents will get access to the Pentagon via your delta force download.
I said this in the community poll from a week ago or so, but I still feel that Delta Force is just another cheap Chinese knockoff of something we already have AKA "BF at home". With how insanely monetized COD Mobile is, I wouldn't be surprised in the least if Delta Force is a completely over-monetized mess of a game.
What I can see happening......they're going to make the gun unlocks a massive grind, but they will have shop "gun level unlocks" so you can get those op attachments quickly but it will cost a pretty penny of course
@dova238 pay to win has become a far stretch, though. One could argue that paying for attachments isn't pay to win because the attachements aren't hard-locked behind a paywall. You can still get them. Grinding a year or two.

I'm not sure how sharing information with the Chinese is any worse than sharing with the Americans.
I don’t personally care that much but the Chinese government is heavily involved with all major Chinese corporations
Umm, maybe because China is a different country which poses a security risk to ours?

As long as the gameplay is good, I don't mind them copying stuff like UI
One question I have is if it will be available when it comes out on the old generation of consoles (PS4 and One)
Nope
