Thank you this was VERY demystifying! I always wondered how art doll makers create such unique sewing patterns for their dolls but now I see it's not so difficult. The whole process doesn't seem as arduous as I once thought either.
oh my god! all your dog type dolls are soooo beautiful! I have been waiting soooo long for someone to craft creatures like that instead of unboxing them.finally I found you! you are so amazing!!!I wish I could have one they look so special!
( I’m late I know ) but this inspired me to go ahead and make my own art doll! She is still a wire base right now: I need to put the quilt batting on and then find some faux fur, then use feathers and stuff for detail.
When I saw this video, it got me into the world of art dolls. You have helped me SO much!!! Right now I’m making my first art doll, and hope to continue making art dolls. Thank you so much, I can’t wait for your next video
I make sculptures out of paper mache, but I've wanted to try making things more posable. I'd never of thought to use quilt batting, and I didn't have very good ideas for how to put the fur on them. This is a very enlightening video, thank you so much for uploading this!
Omg!! I've been in love with your stuff since I started making stuffed dragons in December... I found you when I was looking for inspiration online for what I wanted to make... This is the first video I've seen of yours... I've been wanting to make my dragons poseable... I guess I just had to see it done to have it click... you'd think it would have gotten it before now, I used to make wire sculptures... anyway, you are amazing!
I love your tutorials, they have been so much help especially the feather part. I can use all the help I can get. My first attempt of an art doll I accidentally set the fur pile the wrong direction an had gotten about a third way sewn down the front before I noticed. Remember kids measure twice cut once.
This actually helped me with a problem I had for a custom pony. I wanted it to have poseable wings but couldn't figure out how to actually do it. Your idea helped me out even if I won't be workign with the same material as you did.
You're so talented, these look amazing! I'm not one who's a lot into manual crafts so I don't understand enough to be able to critique or anything, but it looks even more epic when you make it look so easy.
I’m about to make Fawkes the Phoenix from Harry Potter and I’m going to be covering him almost entirely in feathers. I was SO confused about how to make the wing feathers slightly posable and your video has helped me so much! Thank you for posting such detailed tutorials, your work is simply beautiful!
Oh my goodness! I just found your channel and your work is AMAZING! I wish I was as talented as you! Also I just checked all your uploaded videos and saw that the last one was 1 month ago. And just thought 'Man that stinks I wish a new video would come out soon..' And well.. Here it is! Haha! But keep up the Great work! Also how long would you say it takes for you to make these? Do you think you could try to make a Unicorn/Dragon? Basically a dragon (With wings) A unicorn like tail. And a unicorn Horn. (And whatever else you can think of) Just a suggestion! - G
+Gabzilla9 LOL thank you so much for watching and your kind words!❤ sculptures can take me anywhere from a few days to about a week :) I will add that suggestion to my list! It's an interesting idea ^^
Whoever disliked this is probably veryyyy jealus and can't draw even a stickman! Don't listen to them, keep up amazing work!! (Sorry for bad english. I'm still learning)😊
I have a quick question! How much are they? I would love to have one but I probably would have to save up. If you could tell me that would be amazing! I'd like to set a goal for it as fast as possible!💕💕
So glad I saw this, been wondering how to make realistic wings, this has been the best one. I love your mystical creatures they are fantastic and I can’t wait to have a go myself one day and tag you.
I'm getting supplies for this on my birthday next month and I'll build one or two of your creations it won't look as good as yours but I'll try my best! :D Thank you for taking the time to film these Tutorials I think they're very helpful. :3
I can tell making feathered wings was a lot of work! You haven’t made anymore since then! 😅👍🏻 I’m trying to figure out how to do it right now myself, unfortunately the pack of feathers I got only have right wing feathers soooo that’s a no go... I’m thinking about trying to make my own out of fabric and wire. Hopefully it goes well!! +it might take airbrushing better!
I like the idea of strips to flesh out the body, as I’ve been using just cotton stuffing and tightening it up by wrapping loads of thread around. It makes the body firmer though, so if you want maximum flexibility, your method is better. Also, have you considered painting the clay pieces before you add fur to avoid getting paint stuck in it?
Omazing this is what i was looking for. With your talents you should sell these online if you don't already, just a suggestion, think about making a potable doll with bat wings, and maybe with scales instead of fur. Fatastic work and i hope to see more in the future
i love sculpting and building things...dont know how to sew anything though so I'm learning LOL. A dragon Im in the process of making has a similar body shape to this so it was helpful to see how you shaved the fur and shaped the fur on the body
I finished it! My cousin from Georgia came over, and.... she stole it. I am pretty mad, but I am making a Selix, ( a creature I made which is a ferret, dragon, and dog ) instead.
Your work is amazing! I'm soo happy that I found your channel! Watching you make those amazing sculptures inspired me to try making my own! And I will say as I imagined but I'll love it. Keep up the great work! Subscribed!~
These are amazing! I just found your channel a couple days ago and I'm in love with these creations. I myself am interested in making one. Starting from scratch, around how much would it cost to make one? Nothing to big or complex.
I know im not Kaypea, but in my experience it costs about £50/40 to create a doll of similar size in the vid. The most expensive stuff is fur really, everything else is pretty low.
I now want all your bases!!!! You're really better than me I just feel like I've failed my friends on art.... It feels like I let them down....... I have so many things on what to do... But I can't choose wich to do first.......
This is so amazing and just what I was looking for!! I’ve been thinking of trying to learn how to make these and this video is honestly super helpful!!! You’re so amazing!! :3
You should do a Wyvern with a skull face!!!! I would LOVE to see that!!!
+Snapdragon :D Oh I plan on making things like that around Halloween!
I just finished up a Wyvern for the renaissance fair
