There’s something special about this band, and there is fresh element they are giving metalcore.
Yeah same with Knocked Loose, they make metalcore sound angry and bring back those hardcore roots but still have that sad emotion like in 2000s. Best of both worlds, I love that!!!

I never thought of Counterparts and Knocked Loose as metalcore. Aren't they both hardcore? Melodic hardcore in Counterparts's case?
Alex Baribeault early Counterparts besides prophets was considered hardcore, I just still consider them a hybrid between hardcore/metalcore
Alex Baribeault Both bands have enough metal influence to be metalcore imo. They're pretty hardcore leaning and Knocked Loose even have like 2 just straight up hardcore songs but they have some death metal influence mainly on the newest record.

Band photog here, and unless I'm touring with a band I hate getting on stage/standing in front of amps for this exact reason. Hasn't ever happened to me but I would be mortified if that happened and I'd fix it immediately. On the bright side, it probably didn't make much of a difference at all to the audience, videos like these generally don't convey how a band sounds in a room since all we hear is board audio. Still annoying though, many of us are more careful than that.

My favorite channel for LIVE band performances!! The fact alot of my fav bands are featured on this channel examples currents, counterparts, silent planet, polaris,etc. And Leo's Mixing is on point!! The performances sound so good. Love this channel. And it being covid and no concerts going on this channel is much needed these days. Thanx boss

I'm in a band, and I've achieved a lot of really cool goals in my music career, but my one goal has always to play a set at the foundry because your live mixes are always the most amazing i've ever seen. Hopefully soon..

I was in Denver in March 2018 shooting a documentary - our primary shoot was the Silent Planet and Contortionist show on the 10th. We decided to stay an additional day to catch the Counterparts, Stick To Your Guns, and Architects show, which was going to be at the same venue the day after the first show. Our producer had gotten us tickets and permission to shoot this second show, but it turns out she had talked to the wrong agency and actually only got us tickets, but no shooting permission. Long story short, we ended up with several extra tickets, and I wanted to just give them away for free since the show had sold out. I contacted some strangers on FB and waited at the front of the venue for them to arrive. They were late (actually only person ended up showing) and I ended up missing the entire Counterparts set. I was just trying to be nice and give away some free tickets, but to this day I regret it because I've never gotten to chance to see Counterparts since. And now with the pandemic, who knows when they'll tour again.

That ending to The Disconnect is so beautiful to me. What a moment. Kinda wish we could hear them sing it, but either way uts an incredible visual.
