I am very happy to see they got reviewed at this time. They are a new band who recently released their first album and are excited to be doing the Zepp tour as headliners for the first time. In October they will play at the Aftershock Festival, and Kiss will be the headliners that day! (Band-Maid will be there also and touring the US in October). While working hard to get started they kept us entertained with lots of fun covers. Excellent musicians with great chemistry and a bright future! This is not a paid press release, just a long-winded way of saying thanks for the review!
Just think, these young ladies will be playing at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA this October along with Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, Bloodywood and many more! I'm tempted to fly out for the show 🤘😊🤘
Both of them played seven string guitars, Hazuki/Ibanez, Saki/Killer ... 🤘next songs Revive(in English), Raitei(Thunder), I want to see your face when you react to another all female Metal Band HANABIE song We Love Sweets... 🤘
I am very happy that you rate Mayu's singing performance so well. Mayu also has huge potential for me, she still has to organize her voice, she is still very over-motivated and wants to do everything particularly well and sometimes overtakes herself as a result, but she is still so young and already so far. At this stage, I don't really care about such small things. The stage experience will fix that. Her charisma is outstanding and extraordinary, but that also applies to all other band members. I was lucky enough to be able to watch Nemophila right from the start (I discovered the drummer online about 4 years ago and always had her in focus, she's just not a standard drummer either, the first moment of Nemophila was clear, they have the golden one Mix found as a group, the whole thing was just a project but they felt the same way as we did, it was a surprising hit). You don't even know a lot of the skills of this band. there arises a giant. The concert organizers already have them on the list. As a newcomer already booked for the Aftershock Festival is a great opportunity to become known in the USA. As always, a great reaction and great rating
I am so happy you came back to Nemophila. Smiled all the way through your reaction. They are destined to become a worldwide force. Look forward to the next one. Oiran, the first song you did, is the opener at this festival. Watch it in your spare time. You will be blown away. So much energy and headbanging... even better than Dissension.
Great reaction!!! Nemophila were my favorite band discovery last year by far! They are great, I became a big fan since I heard the first song xD and they are very varied in their compositions but all their songs are excellent and the girls have been improving for a long time (you can see it in their first youtube videos) but now they are excellent. They just released their first album and well.... a great recommendation from me of a band that is being born. I recommend you listen to Revive (it's the song that is also the name of the album) and Raitei Greetings from Mexico!!! /o/
My most anticipated review of the month and I only had to wait 4 days to see it, good fortune. Thanks for reacting to it, it was a fun review to watch, I had a feeling seeing them live would really elevate your opinion of them and sure enough it did. Oh and while I'm at it I must also give thanks to the hockey puck for landing Nemophila side up :) Dissension was the title track from their third single released at the end of February 2021. They had already made a name for themselves in just a year since they opened their You Tube channel (to be fair, as individuals they weren't unknowns before they debuted together, they are all veterans of other bands. In particular, Saki, the stage left guitarist, is also the lead guitarist of Mary's Blood and still splits her time between both bands, although Mary's Blood announced at the end of December they are going to play their last show in April of this year before going on indefinite hiatus). Nemophila also built a lot of buzz by doing several online concerts during the pandemic as well taking to releasing cover videos every Friday beginning in the fall of 2020 (they actually began as just a side project to do one or two shows of covers in the summer of 2019 but quickly realized the lineup was too good and had too much chemistry not to make it a full time band performing original material). Obviously the covers eventually became more sporadic but they still release them in spurts. Most of the covers are rock/metal like their original material (with a even split between Western bands and Japanese bands) but they also cover some Anime theme songs and every now and then they'll throw a curve ball out of left field and do something like a K-Pop song or the Minions version of Barbara Ann After the music video for Dissension came out they really blew up even more. It's an awesome music video for an awesome song. But I have to say thank you for reacting to the live version instead. The music video is fun and entertaining but I think the live version much better demonstrates how talented and amazing the band is. Saki alternates between 6 and 7 strings, but it seems to me she plays more 6 with Mary's Blood but more 7 with Nemophila - possibly because the other Nemophila guitarist, Hazuki, pretty much always plays 7. And for good measure, bassist Haraguchi-san plays 5. Vocalist Mayu is famous for alternating between harsh and clean vocals (often harsh on the verses, clean on the chorus). Not necessarily the best at any one style, but she is probably one of the most versatile singers out there and excels at switching smoothly back and forth between styles within a song. Even does a little rap on one of their latest songs. And as you saw she has tons of charisma as a front woman. In addition to being a great drummer, Murata Tamu is also a fine singer and they have one song (Breaking Out) where she and Mayu alternate the verses (with Tamu singing clean and Mayu singing harsh on teh verses, Mayu also does the chorus clean). They also have another song (Blooming) following the same pattern but Haraguchi-san replaces Tamu as the secondary vocalist. As far as the backing vocals go, I couldn't say if you were hearing Tamu or track. They do use a mixture of live backing vocals and track. If it was track I don't think Tamu would have been deliberately trying to deceive. As noted she does sometimes sing and so has a microphone, it could just have been the camera angle putting it in front of her face. This was the second song of a three song set at the 2021 Naon Yaon festival. The first song of the set was Oiran, the first song you reacted to, but there's a very good chance if you saw the Naon Yaon version (and it is available on their You Tube channel) you might not believe its the same song. The energy is akin to this performance of Dissension. That first video you saw was released to open their You Tube channel and announce the release of their first single (Oiran was the title track), and even though I think its a great song, I have to acknowledge that particular video is very raw especially compared to what came after. I personally would score Oiran higher, but I've seen all of their livestream internet concerts and if I'm honest my score would almost certainly be influenced by those other performances. Your score for it was definitely fair and well reasoned. Note Tamu was pregnant at the time the Oiran video dropped and so the video was probably at least a couple months old. I have wondered if she had not been on maternity leave would they have recorded a more polished video or was that the one they always intended to go with. The Naon Yaon festival is an annual Tokyo rock festival festival strictly limited to female artists, founded and sponsored by Show-Ya the original Japanese all female heavy metal band going back to the 80s and still together (although like a lot of other 80s bands, they did have a hiatus between the mid 90s and mid 00s). They did not have the festival in 2020, but Nemophila and Gacharic Spin did a joint live stream concert that fall which was billed as Naon Yaon 2020 (Show Ya vocalist Keiko Terada made guest appearances with both bands as well). The 2021 Naon Yaon show was a return to the festival format with close to 20 groups (including all three of Nemophila, Mary's Blood and Gacharic Spin) playing abbreviated sets over 4 or 5 hours. It was livestreamed on the internet around the world but I think the original plan was to also have a live audience but shortly before the festival Japan had a surge in new Covid cases and the government brought back social distancing restrictions that had begun to lift, nixing the plan for ticket sales. There were a few people sitting out in the audience area from show staff and some of the other performers, but even that was limited by steady rain off and on throughout the show (the Mary's Blood set, which opened the main show after a trio of opening acts that did one song each was particularly hard hit by the rain, it had lightened some by the time Nemophila took the stage an hour later but was still pretty steady). In January of this year they finally got to play a full show with a live audience - their first ever headlining show with a live audience and the full band lineup (before the pandemic they played those original cover shows at small clubs, then a couple shows opening for other acts, then one headlining show, but Tamu had already begun her maternity leave so Show-Ya's drummer actually filled in for her). Then teh pandemic shut everything down. Since then they did I think 5 online livestreams without audiences as well as the two Naon Yaon collaborations. But this latest show was absolutely electric, they were all at the top of their game and clearly feeding off the energy from the live crowd. As hard as it might be to believe. comparing that latest show to Naon Yaon might have you going "is this the same band?" again. Alas they have not uploaded any footage from it to their You Tube channel (you could buy a ticket to watch a simultaneous live stream which is how I saw it) but they just announced they are going to release a DVD/BluRay of it so hopefully to promote that they will eventually upload a song or two. Sorry, I didn't intend to write a novel there, it just sort of happened. If you made it all the way to the end thank you for your perseverance :)
I'm glad you check out nemophila again!👍🏻 first of all, the first reaction 《oiran》 you did was actually a demo, the official version of 《oiran》 is much better than that, and it's my personal favorite of their songs. And as you can see, the sound quality of this live version of 《dissension》 is not very good, they perform it on other live streams was much better than this version. But anyway, thanks for reacts to nemophila , I hope you can react to the live version of 《oiran》 again🔥🌸🤘🏻
This band stock is taking off like a rocket. They just had a live stream the other day and announced a whole bunch of awesome stuff. First Japanese tour over the summer, Blu ray of their first concert with an actual audience coming soon. Also going to be at Aftershock festival in October for their first show outside of Japan! Also that show way last year, so of course no audience cause of you know what. But that show is put on by Show Ya, the original all female band that has existed since 1981. They put on this festival every year for female performers only. Such a good scene over there for Rock and Metal in general but the Female artists seem to have plenty of opportunities to get their music out there, especially with events like this show.
Yes both guitarist use 7s. Saki guitar (Killer) is a her signature guitar made and sold. Hazuki is signed with Ibanez and recently did some promo vids for them, showcasing some of their models. As for the background vocals. They are track. Since many of the lyrics are in English (Engrish) and all members except Saki, are not fluent in it. It would make it easier during lives. As you can tell everything else is live. At this show they had a good sound person too.
Another great reaction David. These girls are one of my favs right now. They Just released their first album which rocks! The first song you reacted to them they actually play at this show too and its better version IMO. They formed in 2019 so they are relative new. But all the girls have been around playing and singing for awhile. Saki on the right has been around for a decade a least I believe. She plays in another band called Marys Blood and has her own solo project. She just released a new song all instrumental. The other guitarist Hazuki plays in another band to and also in other projects. Bass player has too and is very good. The Drummer is amazing and what I have read is very sought after to play with.Ive heard her sing on a streaming live show they did and she has a very good voice too.Not too mention she has two kids and is still kicking ass! lol she is a machine. The lead singer came over from a hard rock band too and she can not only scream like a banshee but her regular singing voice I love. She has that little rasp to her voice too.I really enjoy listening to her sing. She does not scream on every song on their album she really has a very nice voice. They do some very good solid covers too on their you tube channel. They are getting better and better every time I hear something new from them. The two guitarist both can shred. What I love most about them beside that they kick ass musically is that they are always smiling and having fun. Always love to see a band having fun while rocking out!
Love that you recognize talent. Saki here (screen right) is an international star (check her supergroup Amahiru with members of Dragonforce, Kreator, Epica, & Fear Factory). But Hazuki (not an 8string ;) wasn’t just specifically requested by Saki; she rose as the co lead with Narumi, who has a brilliant fusion guit prog metal instrumental EP The Seed, and has filled in with one of the prominent jfemetal bands Aldious, including when they came to the US. And Hazuki was the other founding member of LisaX Band, now more than half of LisaX’s career, and brought in main singer/lyricist Rina who defines half their sound. Don’t waste too much time “proving”, and countering others passionate beliefs. Drummer Murata Tamu has solo albums and sings lead live. Also gnarly on keys, xylophone, plays jazz sax (learned tho, not sure of improv?), and can hold down a bassline. And all five sing live. That said they’re not shy about tracks; a few songs have full on techno rave synth & percussion, even blatantly opening the song with the track solo’s. That said, tracks (if any, probable) in this instance were mixed right. This same set (only 4?3?!) songs, at least one of the songs she really relied on it, the track doing the melody while she took a lower part (artistic? Or a needed break?), for me the mix interfered more than supporting. Distracting, not perfect, but even if there’s tricky magic, there’s no shame being blown away when there’s this much talent. Sorry I haven’t responded to some that I requested, I’ll revisit someday; most recently, I can point out some things on under the red sky; anyway, glad you got to it/them. Definitely recommend LisaX Band, again it’s costarring the guitarist here screen left, Hazuki. Their latest Looking Up to You would do nicely 🤘🎸💃😎 ruclips.net/video/fFxdWRgBxMg/видео.html
The (NAONのYAON) festival is hosted Keiko Terada, the lead singer of SHOW-YA, to promote female metal and hard rock acts. Gacheric Spin and Nemophila are pretty much regulars, along with members of Show-Ya. They fill in around them with other new musicians. The gals in either band can play just about anything you throw at them. Keiko has been a tireless promoter for rock music in Japan for the last three decades, after Show-Ya pretty much single handedly put female Japanese hard rock on the map back in the late 1980s.
Awesome that you came back to this band. NEMOPHILA is really taking off now. Looking forward to your next reaction to this amazing new band 🌸✨🌠 DISSENSION Studio Version: ruclips.net/video/26aMuahxz8c/видео.html ORION Live at NAONのYAON2021 Version: ruclips.net/video/19VQ9tkWksQ/видео.html
Maybe someone will throw in a redo of Oiran live, with the take from this festival. 【LIVE】NEMOPHILA / OIRAN (NAONのYAON2021) Or just go check it out for yourself without the reaction. Well worth it.
OIRAN that you watched before was their demo version and had been polished few times and they played OIRAN in this show as an opener. They are belong to live venue because this band line-ups originally assembled to perform 1 live show only, and the group was called Mayu Session, assembled by the vocalist Mayu. Besides twin 7 strings guitars, their bassist Haraguchi-san is also on 5 strings. Haraguchi-san said "During our live performances, we want to take the songs to a higher level than on the recorded versions. That is not easy and we are aware of that, but it is something important. Our live shows are energetic, which may cause us to play violently at times!" So definitely check out OIRAN live and see how much energy they have especially Haraguchi-san. She and her rhythmic duo, Murata Tamu, are always known for having too much fun together at the back, especially in their studio.
NEMOPHILA are amazing but I really think there's a backing track in the chorus. It's not very high in the mix but it's the singer's voice with a little distorsion effect + Tamu the drummer who's helping with her backing vocals. A lot of bands are using backing tracks and that's ok if it's subtle like this. Thanks for your reaction David
I couldn't remember what your first reaction of Nemophila was, so I had to go back and check, but now I understand why the jump in performance in happened. The first video of 'Oiran' you watched was technically a demo for the track and they've changed parts of that song and improved upon it. Funilly enough, there's a live video of 'Oiran' taken from this same concert and they go super hard on that one. You should have a watch for sake of comparison. Keep rocking dude 🤟👍
This performance was to an empty arena, due to the pandemic. Great energy on stage despite no audience. It was the same for the live version of Oiran, which was the Nemophila song you watched previously, recorded in the studio. I am not convinced that Tamu, the drummer was backing Mayu, the lead singer. Knowing the technical playing ability of other Japanese female bands plus the quality of the stage engineers, like you, I believe it is track. Not that there is anything wrong with that. A case of serendipity choosing the Oiran track first. Unfortunately, there is not too much live material available form Nemophila. Yet again Covid, prevents another great Japanese female band from touring. They need to promote them selves internationally as they have recently released their first CD. At least RUclips is an available substitute. They will be playing in the US later in the year at a Rock Festival. Thank you for your review and a good score. 😀
Hi David, great video! I agree, the halftime section was excellent and my favourite part. You could listen to PENUMBRA - Tormento it's a new rock/metal band, I'd love to know your opinion about them. Cheers from Argentina!
Huge fan of this band. As I commented on the last one, I say these ladies are going places. It sounds to me like they're running Mayu (lead singer) through a harmonizer. Notice how "mechanical" it sounds? If that's the case, shame on the sound crew. She doesn't need it. If I have any complaint about these bands from Japan, it's that they try to "over produce" them. Just let them get up on the stage and play. That's rock n roll.
It's track and live, sometimes the girls are carried away with the performance and stray from a mike at the wrong time. It happens, they're human. Though all 5 members do sing on a variety of their originals and covers. The same thing happens on the OIRAN live video from this venue. HAZUKI guitar sings the first backing vocal, but later she is away from the mike yet the backing is still heard. The main thing is without getting to picky, did you enjoy the song 👍 get over to Sacramento for Aftershock festival later this year and you can witness them live in person. It's only a 5.5 hour drive from you.😉 if you listen to Dissension on repeat the whole way there it will only be a 3 hour drive and a speeding ticket. 😂🤣Thanks for the reaction. 👏👏
Their first actual in-person concert in January sealed them firmly as being absolutely top tier metal. The energy, the quality, the fun - unsurpassed. All the members can sing and Tamu (drums) does sing backing and lead. On the recording of Dissension the scream and clean vocals have some layering. The only way you’re going to achieve that live is with a track. Nemophila also have some keyboards in their music (and Tamu is a decent pianist) but you won’t see one on stage. I have never had a problem with that - it’s not like someone else is doing it - it’s a performance and the important parts of that with the most emotion are totally live and in-person. I k on is there are priests who want faithful reproductions of studio tracks performed live with every aspect done live but unless you put another 3 - 5 people on stage (and other bands do it that way when they have the money) then it ain’t gonna happen without a backing track.
@@THEDavidHeretic just for heads up, if you watched the video titled 【LIVE】NEMOPHILA/Life - which is fan's favourite, it is live streaming show without audience and they didn't face the audience (front camera) for a reason ...and I won't spoil the reaction with the backstory but just for you to know if you are wondering why they are not facing the audience... and I am eager to see if you could guess the reason while watching. Cheers 🤘🏻
I know redundant reactions may be a bit taboo but I would strongly love to see you react to the official video of this song. It would be well worth another listen. These girls are freaking amazing.
Nemophila are amazing! Doing their first oversea show at Aftershock Festival in California in October. BAND-MAID will be there as well, I suggest you go there if you can! Mayu is a rock star!
Lol, love how seriously you take your ratings. It's silly, but fun. Never change! I'm not sure if that was a track either, but the drummer is a pretty good singer. She has a solo singing part (while drumming) in their cover of Maximum the Hormone's zetsubo billy.
I watched the original video again after you mentioned about the backing vocals. I am not familiar with this particular video because the mixing of this performance is not perfect since Hazuki's black Ibanez Prestige sound was not powerful enough as opposed to their opening track of the same show, OIRAN - thus not my favorite. The drummer Tamu is a good singer. She released and sang in her self-produced EP and a single before NEMOPHILA and I am quite familiar with her voice and its clearly not her voice, at least not hers alone. In their music video, they use Mayu (vocalist) voice as overlay double layer effect so that's why when you mentioned it, I listened to it again. What I found it that voice is clearly belong to Haraguchi-san (bassist - she also alternate with the vocalist in the track BLOOMING and backing vocals in some other song) so its recorded beforehand and played as the backing track for this performance. Haraguchi-san backing vocal also used in more polished OIRAN version in their studio album. So there's that. The cheering/chanting parts are live though. Cheers 🤘🏻
NEMO's stright fire. It's not just the music, it's the attidude. They are having so much fun out there. Tight knit comraderie and love of the craft is front and centre in everything they do. As a big fan though, I gotta say I always assumed there was a backing track on this performance too....but the drummer definitely does sing live in their song 'Breaking Out' so it could go either way.
Nemophila is using tracks for sure. Just like Lovebites, to enhance the sound. Vocals they mostly do with other girls. They do backing vocals by other members a LOT. Like in every song more or less. I really like Nemophila, but they really need to step up with their live mix. It's nowhere near Lovebites level. There are so many echoes. If you listen to this, and then the MV, you notice that MV has clear pauses, specially in riffs, while in LIVE version they echo over and you kind of miss the impact of short pauses. Riffs sound more punchy in MV. That said I am still glad you listened this as live, because in MV they do use track/effects more than in live, which might of get some extra critique, lol. Nemophila and Lovebites still has shared top position for me. They are pretty new, published first record in last december, and I had to buy it. I recommend next Nemophila song to be one of these music videos: Revive or Hypnosis
I like all your comic sound effects you should throw in a little comedy too if you want to I really like this band hopefully they will takeoff they do a lot of covers that aren’t bad either thanks for the reaction I enjoyed it.
Glad to see this band here again. I'm not sure either about being track or not but I know the drummer (Murata Tamu) is a great singer. I think the main problem with the first video was the audio/mix if I'm not mistaken, and they still got a 7.2 or something close to that, which is pretty damn good. About hate, you know people sometimes just expect their own words to come out of other people's mouths and when it doesn't happen they throw a tantrum, like the song got a 2 or 3. That said I'm glad this song showed you what they can do. Also a note about this show, there was no crowd because of covid restrictions.
👍😀😈👍😀😈👍😀😈 most listen to the MV of Dissension first. And this concert event is open ONLY to female rock/metal bands. Put in by the female band Show-Ya, who are the OG hard rock female band if Japan. Performing since early 80's. Yes.
I believe that the drummer sings live since in some songs there are lines for her to sing, but they also have backing tracks, since sometimes there is keyboard and synth, so it could really well be that there were both! As I already said in the other video (it was Oiran) their early live sound, is average, it doesn't really make them justice! I listened to their latest show in the 9th of jan 2022, and it was so much better! Their are pretty new, so they are still developing and their live sound is getting better on every live they make! If is it available, I would suggest to react to the MV anytime is it available! To see if you agree with me, you should quickly check out their official MV for Dissension: it hits sooo much harder 🤣🤣 Obviously her screams are a little bit processed in the MV :) They did a bunch of covers in their channel, including "Megitsune" from BabyMetal, "Given Up" from Linkin Park, some Iron Maiden, X-Japan, Maximum the Hormone, and many others!
They are an amazing band and getting better. Their originals are kick ass. Their covers are spot on and love listening to them. They also did acover of Helloween I want Out. Which honestly I think is better than the original lol.
I'm veeeeeery surprised, that somebody was writing to you, that Oiran is bad for start. This is not true. Many reactors start from this. You've been reacting to so called "demo/YT" version. Better is live at Naon no Yaon (the same set as that Dissension). I can't imagine Nemophila not playing Oiran - it's usualy last song of the livestream and ladies play it like in absolute madness, incredible thing (Once Tamu lost her stick during finishing :P, but got back quickly with the spare one). I wouldn't bet that Tamu Murata is singing with mayu during chorus. This "second voice" is clearly track taken from cd version. Normally they don't use it. Normally Tamu can sing very well and she have her verses to sing in unreleased song Breaking Out. Bassist, Haraguchisan sings/rapps in Blooming ruclips.net/video/CgOvsPJ-an4/видео.html None of Nemo songs is similar to that. If you try to react more to their music, you may repeat regulary "Is this the same band?" question. Thank you for your reaction.
Not given up, there are more songs from them in the que. When their turn comes, they will have their time in the sun. I should also point out, that Nemophila has been put into the Prioritization Polls twice, and both times they lost due to having the least number of votes. I tried, I gave the fans a chance to get them to the front of the line...all they had to do was win the poll with the most votes.
@@THEDavidHeretic yeah my bad prob could of worded that better. Problem with polls is it’s harder for smaller fan bases (and a newer band like Nemophila) to get their songs to “win” the poll.
I couldn't remember what your first reaction of Nemophila was, so I had to go back and check, but now I understand why the jump in performance in happened. The first video of 'Oiran' you watched was technically a demo for the track and they've changed parts of that song and improved upon it. The Revive LP version of Oiran is soooo much better than that demo it's almost a different song. Even the LP version compared to the single version is so vastly improved it's crazy.
@@waterwalker9600 I don't use digital downloads, I presume its the same extended version as the JPU release which I have in physical CD. So by LP what you really mean is Extended Edition EE
These girls are the hottest NEW band out of Japan right now! The studio music video of this is soo good too. Oh and I LOVE "that other song"
I'm telling you Japanese women are saving metal. The Japanese music scene is alive and well.
This show was during the lock downs so it was streamed online and there was no crowd. They were essentially performing for the cameras 🤘😁🤘
Just think, these young ladies will be playing at the Aftershock Festival in Sacramento, CA this October along with Band-Maid, The Warning, Jinjer, Bloodywood and many more! I'm tempted to fly out for the show 🤘😊🤘
I sure hope that Jinjer is able to be at that festival. I really don't see them leaving Ukraine as long as their country is under siege.
Give them some love! Hope that Lovebites come to do the same in near future.
Both of them played seven string guitars, Hazuki/Ibanez, Saki/Killer ... 🤘next songs Revive(in English), Raitei(Thunder),
I want to see your face when you react to another all female Metal Band HANABIE song We Love Sweets...
My 2nd Favourite All Female Band from Japan. 🤘🏻 And they have Saki-san. Renowned Japanese Guitarist, also a member of Mary's Blood 🤘🏻
I recommend you listen to Revive (it's the song that is also the name of the album) and Raitei
Greetings from Mexico!!! /o/
My most anticipated review of the month and I only had to wait 4 days to see it, good fortune. Thanks for reacting to it, it was a fun review to watch, I had a feeling seeing them live would really elevate your opinion of them and sure enough it did. Oh and while I'm at it I must also give thanks to the hockey puck for landing Nemophila side up :)
Dissension was the title track from their third single released at the end of February 2021. Most of the covers are rock/metal like their original material (with a even split between Western bands and Japanese bands) but they also cover some Anime theme songs and every now and then they'll throw a curve ball out of left field and do something like a K-Pop song or the Minions version of Barbara Ann
After the music video for Dissension came out they really blew up even more.
I'll always read every comment, no matter how long it might be.
cute + brutal = Nemophila ⚡🤟🏼⚡
Straight fire,I just got my tix to Aftershock and can’t wait to see them! 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥
Saki is such an amazing guitarist!
Nemophila is awesome!! this song is one of my favorites!! Mayu is so cool!!! 🤘🙂🎸Thanks for checking them out David!!
^ This 100% DISSENSION is an absolute face-melter...top-3 behind HYPNOSIS and LIFE 🤘😁🤘
@@waterwalker9600 top 3 for me right now i think would be SORAI, Dissenssion and Demon Light!! 🤘🙂🎸 but ask me in a week and its probably different!!
Band-Maid, Plush, and The Warning will also be at that show. Might have to make the cross country journey for this one.
@@NoSmokingDogs I am glad to see someone give Plush some love. A really good band that, in my opinion, is not getting enough attention.
Looking forward to your next reaction to this amazing new band 🌸✨🌠

Yus Nemophilia 🤘
Another fair and insightful review ,Dave, it took a while but these ladies are winning me over. Thanks again Mah Brother!
Maybe someone will throw in a redo of Oiran live, with the take from this festival. 【LIVE】NEMOPHILA / OIRAN (NAONのYAON2021) Or just go check it out for yourself without the reaction. Well worth it.
+1 highly recommend checking out ORIAN from this show...and the studio version of DISSENSION too 🤘😁🤘
OIRAN that you watched before was their demo version and had been polished few times and they played OIRAN in this show as an opener.
This is so much better than the first video
Roger Taylor (drummer) from Queen was Freddy Mercury's second voice as well.
The sound of this concert is crap but the song is TOO good. David I suggest to the next Nemophila song "Revive" for me the best song of them
^ 100% The mikes / audio mix at this show could have been a lot better IMO.
Relax sound engineer. They sounded great
@@johnmabee3459 actually I am a sound engineer and musical producer 🤷♂️
Hi David, great video! I agree, the halftime section was excellent and my favourite part. You could listen to
PENUMBRA - Tormento it's a new rock/metal band, I'd love to know your opinion about them. Cheers from Argentina!
Let's gooooo 🔥 Can't wait to see your reaction to Hanabie, I have a feeling that someone will request this band soon 👀
That's rock n roll.
the more Nemophila you get ...the more Nemophila you want!! these ladies are the Queens of hard rock/metal !!!! 💙💙
👏👏
The version of Oiran that you reacted too......not the best version, I'm glad you were able to see the Lady's, in a better light....so to speak ❤😎👌
My Queen screaming 👏👏🤣❤️❤️
Man! i love your reviews. Do you have plans to review something from Maximum The Hormone?
Later this month
I love the energy of this song and of course this group.
🔥🦊🔥
Another grinning drummer girl, Tamu Murata. You don't get to see much of her way back there on this performance.
Is the "Life" music video by them anywhere on your list. That's another favorite.
Nemophila - Life is in the que
@@THEDavidHeretic just for heads up, if you watched the video titled 【LIVE】NEMOPHILA/Life - which is fan's favourite, it is live streaming show without audience and they didn't face the audience (front camera) for a reason ...and I won't spoil the reaction with the backstory but just for you to know if you are wondering why they are not facing the audience... and I am eager to see if you could guess the reason while watching. Cheers 🤘🏻
They have a broad range of sounds, so this wouldn't be the last song from them that would surprise you.
You should check out : Ningen Isu - Heartless Scat, older cats that can rock!
It would be awesome to watch him react to that! Sadly the list is still too long, so ATM he is only taking patreon requests!
I know redundant reactions may be a bit taboo but I would strongly love to see you react to the official video of this song. It would be well worth another listen. These girls are freaking amazing.
The guitarist Saki, I believe, was originally with Mary's Blood, which is on hiatus😥
Nemophila are amazing! Doing their first oversea show at Aftershock Festival in California in October. BAND-MAID will be there as well, I suggest you go there if you can! Mayu is a rock star!
God I can't wait for open requests again. I need you to get back to this band there's like 5 new songs you absolutely NEED to hear David
Trust me I look forward to the day that the que is gone and requests will be free again.
Nemophila- hypnosis
I like to place a vote for Hanabie - We love sweets (official) and Nemophila- Rattei (official)
🔥🦊🔥
I still love every time you mention people thinking a 7 is bad, The meta critic generation is not bright
Thats not a track. Thats the drummer ;P
brainfart! = pronounced nem-ooo-feeeela!
Did NEMOPHILA SORAI live from the official channel make it to the list?
I don't see it in the que
Namaphola? It's Nempphila. Pronounced as it is spelled. It's a type of flower, as well as a band. We call the flower "Baby B;ue Eyes in this country.
👍😀😈👍😀😈👍😀😈 most listen to the MV of Dissension first.
And this concert event is open ONLY to female rock/metal bands. Put in by the female band Show-Ya, who are the OG hard rock female band if Japan. Performing since early 80's. Yes.
I like the first song better live and this song better studio.
To see if you agree with me, you should quickly check out their official MV for Dissension: it hits sooo much harder 🤣🤣
Obviously her screams are a little bit processed in the MV :)
They did a bunch of covers in their channel, including "Megitsune" from BabyMetal, "Given Up" from Linkin Park, some Iron Maiden, X-Japan, Maximum the Hormone, and many others!
They are an amazing band and getting better. Their originals are kick ass. Their covers are spot on and love listening to them. They also did acover of Helloween I want Out. Which honestly I think is better than the original lol.
David you need to hear the song Life by nemophila
This song right here will bring you to tears. It.honors tamu the drummy who has a baby and just came back to band. Very emotional
Bassist, Haraguchisan sings/rapps in Blooming ruclips.net/video/CgOvsPJ-an4/видео.html
None of Nemo songs is similar to that. If you try to react more to their music, you may repeat regulary "Is this the same band?" question.
Thank you for your reaction.
I do not think there is any backing track. The gang song definitely is live. And I think all you hear is what you see.
NAMAPHOLA? LMAO.
Points for creativity. Made me laugh.
The studio version is better
Sadly it feels as tho he has given up on covering this band and the rest of their amazing songs.
