The last item is either where a dumbwaiter used to be or as someone else said, a laundry chute. If it was a dumbwaiter, either a kitchen or a dining room should be right underneath it and there should be another door in the same wall in that room, or at least a spot where there used to be a door. If there isn't, check in the basement laundry area for an opening in the ceiling. That would be the end of the laundry chute. ❤
1:13 I used to use a walking cane (I'm now in a wheelchair) and used to collect those on my cane. It's was in the days before the internet was so widespread and it wasn't as easy to get cool looking mobility aids as it is now, so decorating a cane with something like these was a good way to put people a bit more at ease with a mobility aid and start a positive conversation rather than them feeling awkward around a disabled person (especially when the disabled person is a lot younger than people expect someone to need mobility aids)
Those medallions are made to nail to your walking stick as you visit various places. I bought my cane (walking stick) and then collected these around Germany as we traveled to the various towns. I have a total of 13 on meine 'Gehstock'. Each one you bought came in a small plastic bag with 2 small nails.
The copper pot is NOT one piece. You can clearly see the solder joints. On the German walking stick badges. "A very nice older German gentleman" . He passed away but said he lived longer then most and died with no regrets. Uhm, WWII??
Having visited Germany, I recognized the walking stick medallions. I have a couple, but have yet to put them on a cane or something. Maybe I should dig them out and finally do that. Gerz = GAIRTS I recognized the egg scissor. That last item is likely a former laundry chute or dumb waiter.

That's... genius. I'm 29 and recently started using a cane intermittently for hypermobility and I'm gonna do this now.
Okay I think I know. Is this a cubby for a thunder Pot? To keep it out of sight?
That last photo.... possibly a temporary storage area for a chamber pot?
Last item: Storage. We have several little nook doors in our upstairs apartment. It's access to the insulation as well.

What about WW2?
The tiny door lets you be John Malkovich for a few hours. Of course. Pfft
I have some walking stick medallions. Got them in Germany.
Seriously since it's on the second floor and maybe a laundry chute
it would be used to hold a folding tea table--looks like the back end was closed in at some point, as it should be a lot deeper.

Gerz = GAIRTS

Maybe it's for the fairies😊
the last object is a door to another dimension, where you will find your other mother 🤣
just don't let her sew buttons on your eyes. . . .
How about turning down that load god damn ending music
7:17 Souvenir. Just a trinket. My father brought back a "samurai sword". The solders bought things like this while on leave.
Now-days a valuable trinket for a collector !
