  • a quick video on pollenating nepenthes with a few tricks and how I do it. hopefully this helps a few people thinking of getting started trying to make some hybrids in the future.
was going to be a quick video but decided to add a second part. if you haven't figured out I don't script any of my videos, it's all jsut off the top of my head. Anything I miss I'll try touch on in future videos

Thanks mate, glad you enjoyed it.
Is there anything else in particular you'd like to see or know more about?

      Hey Oli,
Would love to see a tutorial on growing from seed.
I know there have been a few done from other people in the nep industry, but would be great to see your take!
      Examples could be:
The sowing, the media, if light is important, bag method recommended?, is heating important, any changes to setup when they start to grow, when to repot, different media in the repot?, photo period for seeds/seedlings, light itself;full spectrum vs lower intensity light for seeds/seedlings (when to increase intensity), fertiliser use?, rinsing the media if using fertiliser, pests to watch out for, colouration to catch out for, your growing experience.
      Just a suggestion 👌🏼👍🏼
      Cheers

Thanks for the video! My nep has never flowered for me and it's starting to annoy me. I want grandchildren, dammit!

It takes time, if they are big enough and generally happy it can be they need more light, food or different temps to bring on the flowering.

do u leave the plants outside during winter? what temperature do u have in the night?

Yep all my own door neps are outside year round, I gets down to about 5°c at night as the coldest in winter here, but over summer it will be closer to 20°c nights
