I put my investment in as a lump sum after researching and discovering similar analysis to your presentations vs DCA. It’s worked out incredibly well but I too had an almost immediate significant decline in the positions I took. I have however a very high tolerance to risk (which I can quantify and understand) so did not sell and crystallise the paper losses over the next few months. I do agree however that many will panic and sell which can be catastrophic. I have to admit the analysis highlighting that in the majority of cases that lump sum would produce better results than DCAing into the market seemed counterintuitive to my brain but the analysis is sound. Another great video for investors. Time in the market and not timing the market is key if you’re an investor. Timing the market is more akin to speculating/ gambling IMHO than investing.

Thanks again for this comment as well! I have seen too many people panic sell after making a lump sum investment as the emotions of loss are very hard to overcome. DCA will really help with that however so hopefully people will put that into practice. It is best to buy over time! All the best with your investment journey and please let me know if there is any topic you would like me to cover in the future.
