I too just realized how bad the chest items is organized in JP server lol. Those big chests with just a few things and then there's that 1 small chest in the middle of a small pond with lots of things got me XD
And then the ones that stream-
That long stack of chests was from the EN portal construction relay. They were originally filled with all sorts of building material, so that the participating members wouldn't have to waste time on stream when they needed something. You can find a similar pile of chests in front of Akukin HQ, near the summer festival stalls (multiple), at the entrance of the sports festival area. I think there's also one in a corner of Pekoland.
Aside from just not bothering to clean up, another problem might be that these boxes contained resources pooled by multiple people. Nobody knows what belonged to whom, and nobody's willing to just loot it all and stash it in their personal storage. If they had a shared vault of items somewhere, that could be used to clean all of those up.

I just had a thought that possibly months into the future, Kronii would somehow get all the chests into one single build. Like some sort of MEGA storage and fully organized everything by herself and no one knows that it was her until they were told so and may not believe that the whole thing could be done by a single person.

Chests are innocent, don't blame the chests. The personal cow farm that everyone has causes a thousand times more lag than a whole chunk full of chests could cause
I really don't it takes that many resources.

For those wondering why Java edition of Minecraft basically needs optimisation mods to be playable, this is why lmao. The number of stupid items that count as entities and cause huge frame drops is unreal.

I don’t know why I like the outro music so much
all jokes aside, even with little to no redstone contraptions and with a lot of chests lying around here and there in a small area + the map arts, item frames and even villager trading places, the JP server is still running amazingly smooth.
It would be interesting to see someone organize the chests, but only if that doesn’t stress her out.
