Hi there! Yes, it's possible (depending on the configuration of the R4). You would probably be better off with the R10 as a base because of it's powerful internal radio and the R4 as a rover. We do offer paid support and training for specific configuration consultation. Please contact us at: training@csdsinc.com
In fact i wanted to use R4 as the base station and R10 as rover to take advantage of trimble x-fill, trimble sure point, and so on... (The area to do the test was partially covered by mask).. What do you think about the methodology please?
Depending on the configuration of the R4, that methodology seems inherently limited, but you can give it a shot and see how it goes. The 2W radio of the R10 gives you the ability to move a greater distance, but as long as your using the R4 GNSS model, than your method may work fine. It's not a setup we'd typically recommend. If you'd like to talk about it, give us a call at 916.344.0232
Hi Emmanuel, it depends on the version. Some come with the radios some don’t. You just need the s/n number to check. Please contact solutions@csdsinc.com for more info or call us at 800.243.1414
Hi, I am about 3100 miles from California, yep, Montreal. We do have a provider here, but they seem not to know that Trimble has an emulator. I'll try on Google to find one. Thanks for answering.
I'm having trouble using R10 for topo on a canopy... I'm not even in a forest... did I missed something? Thanks
Thank you for this tutorial. It's one of the best I've seen.

Is it possible to do an RTK survey with R4 as base station and R10 as rover? If yes can you explain me why?

Do you know if a trimble 5800 gps Receiver requires a external radio modem for running RTk mode.
Hi Emmanuel, it depends on the version. Some come with the radios some don’t. You just need the s/n number to check. Please contact solutions@csdsinc.com for more info or call us at 800.243.1414
Most likely yes, internal radios do not transmit.
Muito bom suas especificações parabéns
Hi,
Where can we get an emulator?
Hi Roger, to get an emulator, you should contact your local Trimble dealer. If you're in California, you should contact CSDS at solutions@csdsinc.com.
