Question: #2: As the sentence is written, answers B and D would also be correct. #3: If we pronounce "read" as we would "reed", (present tense) then answer B. If we pronounce "read" as we would "red", (past tense) then answer A. #8: Answer B also correct, if she once lived in New York, but no longer does. #15: Answer B also correct. #17: Answer C also correct. #20: Answer B also correct. #23: Answer D also correct. For example: They had just arrived at the airport, when the announcement was made. #24: Answer C and D also correct. #27: Answer C also correct. #29: Answer D also.
