    I like the cup idea. I was going to use the tin by itself but this is a better idea

      @LifeWithQueenii Don't worry about that. Be yourself, and you will gain and keep those who appreciate the content YOU provide. I have seen your videos for years, but now my life is aligning with this content (gardening). So now I am super tuned in. You're doing just fine 🙂

    Yes! Seeds do not care how much you spent on them lol my bell peppers and my basil were from dollar tree. And they all sprouted first! Was surprised. I can never find the coco coir though. I’m gonna go to a few more dollar trees in the area to check.

    OMG girl you are the real deal. Those aren't just seedlings those are whole baby plants! I've seen lots of people show that their seeds germinated but not mature leaves so you don't know you can trust them. But you're for real. Amazing tips, thank you!

      Gardeners call them seedlings until they are hardened off and acclimated to the outside environment lol I even call my huge pepper plants seedlings until they move out 🤣

    Very nice are you up potting? The cups are very small.

    I have never have success with only coco core. I need potting soil with fertilizer, bone meal and coco core on top for moisture. So I’m amazed

      Coco coir is just for starting seeds not for providing nutrients it doesn’t have much. After seedlings grow first set of true leaves they should be up potted using indoor potting soil not outdoor unless you want fungus gnats everywhere. Or that may work if you keep seedlings outside. But coco coir isn’t for the entire growth cycle of the seedlings it’s just to start. Please check out my other videos to see how I up pot my seedlings and what I feed them

    Great advice. I was just there the other day and bought seeds and pots myself. Repurposing the baking tin as a humidity dome tray is clever. I like it and may just try that too. Thanks.

      Girl Texas is blazing the start of summer. Those plants won’t make it to harvest before the heat takes em out. They gotta come before July or it’s a wrap.

      @@denyshadials5702 I follow a few garden ppl who live in Texas on ig seems like they’re surviving lol I know it’s hot already but you can do maybe a drip system or some shade cloth?

      To keep it simple, I’m currently on rental property, so I’m only investing so much with the space I have. Grow bags only.
      When I expand, I’ll consider a drip, but that’s still debatable. Ollas appeal to me more tbh. I already have shade cloth but heat is heat, so it can only do so much. Watering really wasn’t an issue last year. It just gets too intensely hot, even for full sun plants once we get going. Kind of like up north when it’s 20 below 0 and not single cloud in the sky; sun shining bright-cold is cold.
      Heat is heat.

    Great video love how you teach. Coco coil only? Can i use coco coil only for collards? And do i put them under a light with dome?

    • @LifeWithQueenii
      @LifeWithQueenii  5 месяцев назад +1

      You can start with that but eventually you’ll have to feed the plants, coco coir has no nutrients in it. I posted a video on how I feed my plants

      @@pearlbrown177 perfect, I used 1/2 tsp per gallon when the first true leaves appear from the seedlings but once they have 3-4 sets of true leaves I do 1 -2 tsp per gallon . Bottom water only and break the dunks up out them in your watering jug never leave jug completely empty leave a lil water in it after watering plants. Let dunk soak overnight before using
