That my friend is what a rolling masterpiece looks like. Just as far as beauty is concerned from the inside out, this and the Pagani Utopia have to be two of the most beautiful cars in the world. If I could only have two cars in my dream garage it would be a De Tamaso P72 and the Pagani Utopia. The fact both come with manuals is just the icing on a very sweet cake.

This protype clearly still has the originally planned v12 in it. For me it is an absolutely stunning car, perhaps one of if not the best looking modern car. My issue is definitely with the engine being a supercharged engine. While I absolutely love V8’s, I just think a v12 is so much more fitting for this particular vehicle.
There's a better way to say it's looks futuristic AND retro at the same time. It looks like what designers thought the future would like back in the sixties. It's a retro vision of the future, come to life.

Great seeing a lot more details of the P72 than any other video has shown! It will be interesting to see what will change in order to meet EPA/DOT requirements. E.g., the steering wheel, while cool, would have to be equipped with an airbag so it won't look the same - at least for the US market. Hopefully the styling will be little impacted from crash requirements and the manual 6-speed is retained.
I really love this car. Interior like Pagani, such a unique exterior, amazing sound, just a spectacular automobile with performance to match its looks. Gold may have a lower melting point, but it is the best heat conductor and was used on the McLaren F1. I hope they can get the slack and some of the whines out of the transmission is my only criticism.

It's a pity that the Chinese-owned DeTomaso decided to make cars for the ultra-wealthy. This car is like a Gucci handbag. Beautiful, but practically useless. Few will ever own one and the ones that do, won't drive it. I mean, seriously, you couldn't take this on a road trip. It has absolutely no storage, not even a glove box. And what's up with the ridiculous exhaust? I guess you will never be able to park this car outside or drive it in the rain. This car betrays its roots in almost every way, except the engine. The owner of DeTomaso recently hinted that the v12 manual is also in development and will be announced soon (but the initial cars will be V8)
