Very good video. You just forgot the car, born as De Tomaso "Bigua", later rebranded and sold as Qvale "Mangusta", from which from 1999 to late 2002 in total 284 cars had been sold! Beside of this little error you made a very nice and precise video. Congratulations!!
He made some beautiful cars. Elvis got so pissed his Pantera wouldn't start he pulled out either a .44 mag or 1911 and opened fire on it. They are beautiful cars in person with a 351 Cleveland. I would have always loved to restore one GT5 and use an all aluminum aftermarket block and upgrade everything possible. Instead of a steel tubing chassis a better engineered and much lighter one made from Chrome Moly.
Really good video! I never heard much about tomaso aside from the Pantera, so it's really nice to learn more about their history. Also, could you make a video on their racing history at some point? It might be a good idea if they decide to commit to the le mans hypercar plan that they're currently evaluating.
Desde Argentina, la única posibilidad es tener una maqueta diecast escala 1:18 del Mangusta y del Vallelunga. Ya poseo el Pantera. ¿Dónde podré conseguirlas?. Gracias.
I think De Tomaso would make a return to Le Mans in 2024. But, I don't think the P900 would race at Le Mans. The P900 is strictly a track car, not a race car.
Thank you for Clarifying the brand I like that you put the hole models in a Forza Motorsports 7 would of been nice to experience if that was so, I'd like some help I like actually all of these brands in the Horizon 5 big time been obseesed to push this brand and models in that game and Motorsports so hope you and much more others get the obsession to push into those games please all models but the only 2 models if I cant get all of them I'd take the 1987 De-tomaso Pantera GT5-S big obsession and I'm liking the sedans now aswell like a Manuel transmission if I can had the means on the Deauville from the 1970 there not that many of either one of these type of car types on Horizon 5 or Motorsports to me not manny so like more I'd like help iv been waiting since Forza Horizon 4 since that Gear Throttle shared the picture and name twice I was so exited at the time but as time went on just lost faith on the brand nore car being added. The 2 I mentioned earlier would be the 2 for my choosing I know forza will not add all not just it will take forever but just can't ask them for anything anymore, I'm still waiting for that Pantera I just wanna experiment the colors and Design and create insaine tunes on the game would be epic, first love was seeing the 74 Pantera on the 5th Fast Movie first cat coming out of the train, I feel in love with not just the car and look but the way it drove on the off road look so amazing. I am obseesed with this brand tell this day also don't want to see this brand die out I wish I could of drove that 70s Pantera more on Motorsports 4 which it was in only that year and 1 of sadly could of done so much better but last time Forza Motorsports people got to experience it a bit, my 360 can't read disk so pisses me off I can't play the game or more need for speed games I like. I wish forza hole teams would just add all the models and even new p72 or p800 models and especially on Horizon 5 aswell or Motorsports I just don't want to see the brand die out especially the old models.
Interesting but the background noise, can't call that seriously music can you, is not only distraction, it is irritating. The Mangusta looks cool with the headlights down, but I don't think it was a terribly practical car, with those butterfly doors over the motor. Getting the reserve wheel out must have been quite a challenge, to name but that. But ohterwise, what a beauty: it's what David Gilmour is to guitar music: not too much excentricities as Alfa Romeo, rather simple but with a lot of feeling, deadly efficient. The car looks good in virtually whatever colour, which is always a good sign. The Pantera was technically probably better, but when it comes to design, this was IT ! Gosh, the second half of the 1960's / first half of the 1970's brought so many top designs: the Mangusta belongs in that category
Same problem as so many American/British videos: pronunciation of non-english names. Do some research before releasing a video. It already starts with the guy's name: Alejandro De Tomaso. The j in Alejandro is pronounced the Spanish way. De isn't pronounced as dee. More like deh. Mangusta is pronounced Man (a like in bar) goose tah. So, next time: ask a Spaniards and an Italian. You can't go wrong that way.
As this video is quite old, maybe I'll remake it. FYI I have enough sense to do research before releasing any content. PRONOUNCING non-English words/names can be difficult for some people. Understand? There are mistakes, but it's a part of the learning process.
@@christheradar pronunciation isn't that hard, one just has to try. I'm not English myself, but speak 4 languages. And know approximately how to pronounce dozens of other ones. I placed this comment because in particular English native tongues seem to have problems. Or is it just laziness? I think you would laugh your butt off if I encountered everything the Dutch way, wouldn't you?
@@johnvanhal2450 Being lazy has nothing to do with having difficulty in pronouncing words correctly. Pronouncing some words can be hard and not everyone can get it right on the first attempt. It requires consistent practice. I only speak English. It's impressive that you can speak multiple languages and pronounce them perfectly, but it's unfair to deprecate someone because they can't. Don't forget you had to learn too.
@@christheradar Okay, but still there are influences enough in the USA, like the Spanish from all Mexicans and Latin Americans. I indeed had to learn too, but that's a question of weeks for most sounds. You don't have to speak a complete language to learn the sounds.
"Cars are great", I'm sure we can both agree about that. That said, you butcher the English language like it was pork in a sausage factory. Besides that, and the limited educational value of your videos, these short films aren't too shabby. Good luck getting better, improving your research, writing a better script, that you stick to religiously, which has been thoroughly proof read for grammatical errors. As of this video, you sound like someone from the pj's who uses big words to impress people, without knowing how to use those words, which has only had the opposite effect. If your videos contain a wealth of knowledge, while avoiding the trap of sounding as if they're rehashed versions of other videos released before them, while simultaneously you tons down your prodigious misuse of words, on top of the comical basic grammatic errors in a failed attempt at linguistic exuberance, then you can take these films out of the realm of comedy, and stereotypes, transforming them into something truly educationally informative.
@@christheradar don't mind me, I'm crazy. I need to learn how to use my words, and when to use them. So I need to remove the plank from my own eye before.....
i'll pass ... if it is now owned by china then forget everthing about car... its already mutilated .. and not de tomaso original authentic anymore though

That's a nice and thorough review of such an iconic car maker. TY.
Beautiful cars
Was waiting for this!! 💙
I enjoyed watching this video very informative.
I liked and subscribed thank you for sharing this video.
Great addition to those “Powered by Ford” lineup! Oh! a slap on Carroll Shelby’s COBRA, a “Mongoose “is the only critter that can kill it!
De Tomaso, another italian Dreams Cars factory history 🇮🇹❤️
You did a very good job with this video. If you haven't done anything on Lotus, it will be well worth the research and effort.
Excellent stuff man. Thanks

They've had a very li ited ra cing history
Awesome Job!!!! ✋️
Very good work my man 👍. I'm in. I like the unsong hero's theme of the car world.
Bro the video is very good 😊😊😊 I liked it but you forgot the De Tomaso Longchamp
I like detomaso pop up head lights one
lol, I wrote you a coment about if you saw the P900 when you said the P72, I guess I should watched the end.
Merry Christmas
I mean, if you saw the presentation of the P900
I Love ''The Panther'' !

love the video in general, but must also say that I feel a bit 'cheated' that a lot of computer generated images were used!
Do you think De Tomaso could join the WEC Hypercar category with the P900? Rumors sparked that they could join in 2024.

Incredible video!
Had to admit, I never heard of di tomasso, de tomasso is another story though
THEY HAVE ANY BOOKS FOR SALE DE TOMASO ?
forgot the longchamp😢
My bad... 😭
Not gonna lie. One of my favourite models. Was sad it got left out. But it’s also not one of its well known ones so I’ll let it pass.
Desing from Argentina

Elvis had a yellow Pantera that had trouble with battery and starting,so that pissed Elvis off and he shot the car 2-3 times with his gun !
to me De Tomaso stops with the Guarà

Great content! Very impressive info you put in here! Thank you truly, there are no much interest in De Tomaso being from and Argentinian.
