I hear u my baby Terry voice like an angel....... Maxine ur voice is super smooth ya'll sounds like the Emotions on this song i love this song so muchhhhhhhhhhh! Thank U!
This is the original version, not the remix. (The remix is posted elsewhere) It was intended as the first song in the En Vogue Suite. According to the producers, Coppola heard the tune and gave his blessings as did the Nino Rota estate but Paramount balked and refused to license the Godfather Theme . So, it was removed from the album and replaced with Love U Crazy at the last moment. BTW, the God Father Theme was never sampled for this production, it was replayed by studio musicians.
@@valentinomiller6251 OK. Beat left out, then I think the bass should also be out, because it's part of the rhythm section. What would you add to the track with the 'leftover audio'?
If this song wouldn't have been excluded from Masterpiece Theatre due to sampling problems, it would have transformed that entire album in place of Those Dogs. Whatever the sample is, they should have just put something else in. This song is the jizam.
T H A N K Y O U!!!! I bought a copy of this album before this track was removed, then managed to lose it - bought a new version, and couldn't figure why it wasn't on there - thanks for posting!!!
Knox1013 u r right there was pressed versions of I love u more with the remix on it and then legal with the right holders didn’t come through so they pulled it and had I love u crazy put on last minute but this was the anchor to masterpiece theatre
No - just this one as far as I know. From what I could find (wiki) it was somethnig to do with them not having secured the rights to the tune sampled in it (the Godfather theme tune), though i'm not sure of exact details. So they replaced this song with Love U Crazay.
It wasn't included in MT's "Love Suite" of songs (as originally planned), 'cause (reportedly) the Godfather's sample wasn't cleared. This was replaced with the faster, hip-hop-ish Luv U Crazay.
I would have loved to have this track on the official album, but not at the expense of 'Love U Crazay'. It would've been interesting to have it in the 'En Vogue Suite' tbh, but I have to be honest, the song sounds a bit all over the place at some parts.
This is a mess. I can't even decipher a melody with all that's going on here. I think the idea for "Masterpiece Theatre" was interesting but it wasn't executed well. Perhaps it was impossible to do so. Too much of the album sounds like a joke, with awful and awkward verses that can't even be described as melodies. "Them Dogs," for example, is almost unlistenable and a little embarrassing.
I'll admit the first 15 seconds of the song is a mess but once Maxine sings 'I love you more...' the rest of the song flows well. I'll concede though that "Them Dogs" wasn't their greatest song selection.
I fully agree that the idea for Masterpiece Theater was interesting but they needed fresh ideas and fresh production or something. It could have been amazing but I think the producers were too limited.
@@richardcorona3564 Mawkish-piece Theatre was a gimmick that, unsurprisingly, failed categorically. I never knew the importance of production value until I heard how cheap this record sounded.
Terry, Cindy, and Maxine sound so good
Yes Max....the voice is gorgeous!
this song doesnt sound 9 years old...still sounds fresh!!!!

I love this song. Sing girls
Sing Max!!!
BEAUTIFUL LADIES AND SONG I LOVE THIS!
I have this song on my iTunes along with the rest of the tracks from Masterpiece Theatre. And, yes, Max's voice is nice on this song.

LYC is a superior song anyway. The beat ruins this piece.

This song should've made the album it would've sounded perfect behind Love U Crazay
Great work from Max as usual....:)
Dang this sounds tight. They should of kept it on the Cd.
DOWN SOUTH!!!
Very beautiful song. Thanks for posting.
The Virtuosity is amazing dammit!
It's always nice to hear new music from EV.

Strange. Why would they even add, press and sell the album with a song with an uncleared sample? That sounds like asking for difficulty.
the should redo this and put it on the new cd.....!
This would have been a perfect lead single for the album...provided the sampling right were cleared.
Max ALWAYS wins LOL
@kjkilojoules
en vogue has its die-hard....im one...cant wait to see in virginia
💥💥💥
this should not have been a single, but it def should have been on the album instead of "those dogs". its much better.
Hmmm? I dig Those Dogs. It make me laugh.
If they make Godfathter IV, this has to make the soundtrack. That's all I'm saying.

I like this song. I wonder why this removed from the album?
kjkilojoules the beat is definitely more of the time back in 2000

@@urlildawg2 imo they should’ve just worked with different producers like they did for EV3..Denny and tommy are great an all but it’s about growth
How did they NOT know that MP theater would flop. It really is a limited album for a narrow audience.
