Nice collection of noami games the low end android phone that I have is the Nokia c100 and I had to get the older version of flycast to play the Sega noami ant atoamiseave arcade games and the chip set that the device is running on is media tek hailo a22 and I'm surprised that it can handle som dreamcast and Sega noami arcade games and Sega Tetris is my favorite.
The graphic chip on that phone it's a PowerVR, an evolution of the one that powered the Naomi & Dreamcast 25 years ago, of course it's gonna handle them!
Naomi was late 90s - early 00s. There was basically a second golden age of arcade games in the 90s-00s when 3D became more popular. (Daytona, Derby owners club, DDR, Initial D etc.)
Watching this video makes me wonder if an indie console focusing on 6th generation arcade graphics and gameplay would survive in today's market. I know the Switch is a great contender for this, but I would prefer something a little more oldschool.
Thanks so much! Always wondered about the NAOMI games. QUick Question: How did you remove the backing music, engine noises, etc., and just keep the vocal parts during the Crazy Taxi section?
It might feel that way sometimes, but gaming is always evolving! Naomi games were groundbreaking in their time, and innovation continues to shape the gaming landscape today. Let's keep playing and exploring what's next together!
Sega Naomi was twice as fast CPU + had twice as much RAM to the Dreamcast. The fall of the Sega was that they couldn't get a good deal on the "3DO CPU No.2". (The next one from Sega would be a "pure" arcade console.).
Absolutely, the Naomi era paved the way for some incredible gaming experiences, setting the stage for the Sammy Atomiswave era and beyond. Thanks for watching!
Es cierto, es una lástima que Virtua Fighter 4 no haya llegado al Dreamcast. Sin embargo, la potencia del sistema Naomi permitió que el juego alcanzara nuevas alturas en los arcades. ¡Gracias por comentar!
Some NAOMI games that weren't ported to the Dreamcast include Mazinger Z, Spikers Battle, Monkey Ball, and Border Down. There are quite a few others, as not all NAOMI games made it to the console.
Finding Naomi games can be a bit tricky nowadays, but you might have luck searching online marketplaces or auctions. Some of these games were also ported to the Dreamcast, so that's another avenue to explore. Happy hunting!
Dude i don’t think I ever saw soul surfer properly when i was younger the cab that I was familiar with had it’s rear projection screen so badly maintained that the game was unplayable every thing else worked even the actual surf board was in really good condition it was just the screen
Lots of time and effort pour into this I appreciated every moment of it. Helped me decide which games I wanted. Thanks a lot.
I'm so glad to hear that! Thanks for watching and your kind words!
Such a shame that more weren't ported to Dreamcast
It is a shame indeed! Dreamcast would have been a perfect home for many Sega Naomi gems. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
@@retroreplaysvault thank you2
@@retroreplaysvaultlucky that NAOMI games are still playable on Flycast Emulator in PS3 retroarch.
There were a lot more Naomi games than I thought!
Absolutely! The Naomi library is expansive and filled with hidden gems. Thanks for watching and enjoying the collection!

29:48. Yep that’s it right there. Gaming peaked right there.
The Golden Age of the arcade!
Definitely! NAOMI era really captured that golden age vibe with some unforgettable arcade classics.
Two third of these Sega Naomi games also are on Sega Dreamcast.
That's right! Many NAOMI games were also released on the Dreamcast 👍
When was the naomi time ?? I mean back in the days this graphics were a blast like ultra-realistic !!

Here comes the whole roster!
Wait, virtua fighter 4 evolution is on NAOMI 2 not 1

Great thought! A console focused on 6th-gen arcade graphics could definitely appeal to retro fans!
thanks for the video, awesome ! got only the game i like on my steam deck now !
That's fantastic to hear! Thanks for watching and happy gaming!
Thanks so much! Always wondered about the NAOMI games. QUick Question: How did you remove the backing music, engine noises, etc., and just keep the vocal parts during the Crazy Taxi section?
Glad you enjoyed the video! For Crazy Taxi, I used audio editing software. It took some tweaking, but I'm happy with how it turned out!
Video game innovation is over.

@@retroreplaysvault I've been playing dreamcast recently. Super fun. I play ps4 and I end up playing older stuff re-released lol.

Good point. The stronger hardware had potential, but missing that CPU deal really hurt their progress.
The games before Sammy Atomiswave
Absolutely, the Naomi era paved the way for some incredible gaming experiences, setting the stage for the Sammy Atomiswave era and beyond. Thanks for watching!
I used to LOVE that airliner game and I can't find it anywhere 😢
Thanks for sharing your love for it!
Wasn't Rhythm Heaven/ Rhythm Tengoku also on the Naomi?
Rhythm Tengoku did have an arcade version released, but it wasn't on the NAOMI.

Man, Is there a cheat for Sega Naomi? I wanted a cheat option for house of the dead 2 arcade version!
I wish there were cheats for the arcade version! Sometimes, it's all about mastering those headshots :)
Muy buenos juegos 👍🏻
¡Me alegra que te hayan gustado los juegos! ¡Gracias por tu apoyo y por ver el video!
As I came to game Nintendo had nothing on Sega in the 90's for games.
Sega definitely brought some incredible games to the table in the 90s, especially with the arcade systems.
How can we get these now???

That’s unfortunate, but it often happens with arcades when the screens aren’t properly maintained.
19:47 DEJAVÚ!!!
Deja vu indeed! It's a thrilling ride that never gets old.
You forgot Rhythm Tengoku
Rhythm Tengoku is a fantastic game, but it was actually released on different hardware. Thanks for the heads-up, though!
SEGA NAOMI is based on SEGA DREAMCAST.
No it's the other way around
*SEGA DREAMCAST is based on SEGA NAOMI
Sega cometió un error de no sacar todos los titulos de Model 3 y Naomi en Dreamcast...
Is this a consumers machine we could buy?
Naomi system served as the foundation for the Sega Dreamcast. Thanks for your comment!
Who the hell is Naomi?
Naomi isn't a who, but a legendary arcade system!
