- This tutorial shows you how to make a hidden door In Minecraft 1.16. With the tricks in this tutorial it should be easy to build this secret door in survival minecraft. :)
If you are building a huge base in Minecraft, like MumboJumbo or Iskall85 on the Hermitcraft Minecraft Server. This hidden door is a cool thing to add to your base and a Minecraft Trick you should know to troll your friends and escap like Grian in his funny Hermitcraft videos. :)

This is such a chaotic tutorial. Just the fact that the door ends up in a totally different place than the place you start mining out a "door" in the beginning of the video, makes it super confusing to use this tutorial to make a secret doorway in an already built structur where you have to be careful where you mine. I was so pissed 3/4 way through, when realising I couldn't even use the redstone mechanics I had built, because the door would end up in a totally different place than where I started, which was not somewhere where I even could place a door, as it would end up being outside the house I was building in.

It’s not even working properly the pistons are pushing the other pistons over and not even pulling them back and the bottom pistons aren’t activating
I think this only works on Java
What's is the meaning of Java
@@jangpulhungdim3650minecrafr has 2 versions - bedrock and java, bedrock is for mobile, tablet, console, or pc and java is only on pc. Just google java vs bedrock or something and you will figure it out. The games are basically the same but some tiny changes are present

Bedrock is a version of Minecraft that include Minecraft for Consoles (PS, XBox, Nintendo), Minecraft for Mobile (also called Minecraft Pocket Edition) and Minecraft for PC (If you bought it from Microsoft Store). Minecraft Java is the other version of Minecraft, avaiable only for PC from the official site of Minecraft.
To make it "short", the difference are not that much: majority of the difference are little details (for example, in Java you can put any items in your off hand, while on Bedrock you can put only things like shields, maps). The big differences are the Crossplay (with Bedrock you can play with PC players, Console players and Mobile players, Java with only other PC players), the mods (Java has more mods, most of them being free) and farm and redstone system (the same farms and the same structures that use redstone may not work if used on the other version).

For me it only activates the top set of the pistons, and ive watched two other videos on this and its becoming just a tad frustrating. If anyone knows a fix for this, id love to know

If anyone else has trouble getting the inner lock part to work in 1.17 - I was able to fix it by setting the redstone path back one block (so it doesn't run adjacent to the other piston).
@Asia Davidson I worked with too small a space initially, the redstone block moving broke my redstone line to my door. If that isn't your issue, make sure your observers are facing the right way as well.
Edit: unless you're referring to the piston set that moves the blocks into place - in which case more detail would help, what exactly is the problem you're having?

@@3GS._. honestly, I don't think I can explain any better. Running the redstone line right next to the piston caused it to break for me, so I moved it an extra block away. Are you playing in 1.17?

I got bro, the top piston is engaged because in the video the redstone runs above the top piston just build it a block higher and it should fix the problem

The 4 wall of pistons doesn't pull the "door" back to open the hallway. Playing in 1.18

the same happened to me, i fixed it by having the redstone being four blocks long after the repeater and then going down next to the redstone block. so you might be using a size that isn’t compatible with the 4 wall of pistons (don’t know if it this makes sense but hopefully it does)

Great video. I’m having trouble with the door not opening and closing how it does in the video. Iv followed it step by step but when it comes to the door only on piston moves and closes one block of the door leaving and open space at the bottom. The bottom pistons down move to close the gap where a square should be it just leaves an open hole only the top 3pm stone work.

@@faithjamison922 no Iv tried a few diff ways and didn’t work so I just did a single door that slides to the side when a lever is pressed

I've try it in bedrock before. And... It's actually work. It's just that for bedrock, it needs additional thing. For example,u better use lever for bottom, n connect it to the sticky piston that hold the redstone. Might need some adjustment in design, but overall, it's work. It just thay it takes a bigger space for bedrock to make it work. 😅

The red stone block keeps getting disconnected how do I stop it and the door refuses to outright work

The sticky pistons touching the sticky pistons that push the blocks out that act as the hidden door aren't sticking. It closes just fine, but when I press the button and the pistons deactivate they don't pull back the sticky pistons or the blocks. Ahhh I got so close idk how to make it work. :(
I just found a solution, the Sticky Pistons that aren't sticking, replace it with Honey Blocks. The Stone or whatever block you use will be one Block in, but it's fine.

I tried making this in the newest bedrock update (1.19 I think), and everything works fine except for the bottom sticky piston on the door itself, the top one works perfectly, but I can’t get the bottom piston to extend out after it gets moved, even after I extended the red stone off of the red stone block out by one block, does anyone have any ideas on how I can fix it?

I did it exactly on the video but could't make it work :/ The door doesnt move back to the side, So the stone blocks just move one grid inwards and keeps blocking the path. Weird.

Hmmm... strange. Had some bug where air was powered for some reason in 1.17.1, had to glass a part of the internal corridor to isolate all pistons against inexplicable external forces. Works now though.
I think one of Minecraft’s updates must’ve ruined it
I've made this exactly as shown in the video but the 4 sticky pistons off to the side won't pull the sticky pistons that grab the stone. They just pull back with nothing. Everything else seems to work as seen in the video though and I've double checked many times now.
Does this still work with 1.18? Java?
