What if a Human Spun the Earth like a Desk Globe? After Effects for a spinning globe

I wanted to do a simple tutorial for how to spin a globe in After Effects. But instead I created my own world map, added space dust and stars, and gave the globe a spinning effect as if a human were spinning a small globe sitting on their desk. In the next few weeks, I will release a small series of short tutorials describing how I made each element of this animation. Stay tuned for the first one next week.
The music is the only element that I did not create in this animation. It comes from Pixabay, with appropriate licensing.
I made this map in ArcGIS Pro, using Adobe Illustrator, Maps for Adobe, and then imported it into After Effects to do the animation.
