Hey Vern, maga Wayne here. Was just looking at some pics I took from emerald and saw what looked like a route that would go. Wasn’t even sure what peak… now pretty sure it’s your descent off Carmar! Might have known you’ve done it!! Not going to be trying that sketchy traverse though! lol
Beautiful - thanks for sharing - Yoho is the best. I noticed the camera swinging around while you were scrambling. I trashed at least one lens doing that :) Last year I did a comparison of my mid-range Nikon to a Pixel 8 Pro cell camera while hiking and was pleasantly surprised the phone took as good (and occasionally better) photos. Now I just take the phone. Or maybe I'm just a lousy photographer...
@@iandromey4445 yup, that’s the cost of bringing the camera. Phone is good until it’s not. Telephoto, low light and RAW photos aren’t the same with tiny sensors. But usually good enough. I use my iPhone quite a bit instead of the bigger Olympus. But not when I expect really nice landscapes. 😏
Love the narration! Great video

That slab section on the ridge is puckering! Other than that beautiful scramble
I'm enjoying these quippy narratives over the top of the video. Makes for a good start to the day!
@@philrichards8784 it’s something I’m trying. Basically a verbal trip report.
@@VernDewit it adds enjoyment as I watch anxiously through my hands. hahaha
@@philrichards8784 😂 Hann didn’t love this video.
@@VernDewit me neither! I won't be going there.
You go to some incredible areas.
@@stevieboy366 yeah, I’m pretty darn lucky to live here. 😏

@@VernDewit Have you looked into the Peak Design capture clip? I use one now and I like it a better than dealing with a strap and swinging camera.
@@fightfityyc yeah I’ve looked. I don’t have an issue with it normally. 🤷🏼
Be kind to your future Vern.
