Hi Tom. I liked hearing about the reel-screaming, high jumping "tampons."

To counter the emotional outpouring at the end of this video: the health of our watersheds is many times more influential to salmonids than climate. These big issues get overlooked for the emotional cries of climate because the public has not looked deeper into the issue.

everything is full circle and the most important factor as you pointed out is water and the actual health of our streams. Changing the climate locate so many many years, water management needs to happen now , irrigation patterns and lowering water tables have contributed to a multitude of stream quality issues that affect our fish

@@jdswideworldofflyfishingan4759 Yes those factors such as irrigation have a significant impact. Addressing entire watersheds now has a pretty short fuse to rectify the ills of many of our rivers. For instance , harvesting trees to promote snow drifts that last longer into spring will reduce flooding during runoff while maintaining higher and colder summer baseflows. The impact of watersheds are huge and overlooked but those who prefer to cling to fear as a product.

At the end of the day in the field, it was a success if I was able to think and learn. Knowledge stays with you long after the memory of a trophy fish.
