i'm not sure weather to agree or disagree with you...coz linkin park's version is a masterpiece on its own to begin with but i think you're right what she's done with it is brillient too

The meaning came from Linkin Park? Buddy, I'm pretty sure the meaning comes from the lyrics, not the band that sings them. If the lyrics are sung in a different tone then it can shed the meaning of the lyrics in an entirely different light, from an entirely different angle, thus giving them a more powerful, a more fresh, or even just a new view of the meaning of the song. And I'd hate to tell you, but she sings it with a different emotion than Linkin Park. Thus, a more powerful meaning for some.
