I think it's great that you share this, Russia is at least 100 years ahead of the rest of the world when it comes to classical dance and ballet, and there is simply an endless amount of records, footages, books and other materials of interest to keep learning. If there is more, I'd be grateful to be able to watch it

Really love the gentle but firm, carefully placed 'tweakments to the instrument' ie flick the forward-facing leg to the side or higher; a centering, straightening tap on the back as if tuning up a machine without missing a beat in the rhythm. In Part 3 would you be able to remember how stretching exercises felt on the journey as opposed to observable results ? It did seem as if your body, by responding to the tweakments, positively affected your timing, which I suspect may have also resulted in a natural strengthening of the more lax areas? So much to learn! And your mentor's singing is/was a delight, no distraction from the task at hand.

What a lovely man. I have nothing to do with ballet, so I obviously never met him, but he reminds me of my grandfather. Even his mannerisms are the same. As his students, you guys are lucky to have had him in your life.

something that always bothered me about my training when I was young was that I was also never told to stretch, despite my school teaching vaganova method. glad to hear I wasn't the only one haha

No disrispect to your friend whatsoever, honestly, but even at this stage and age you can see the massive difference. So interesting! It's not just in the executions of the excercises, it's some other details also.
