Go to war in a foreign land against an invisible enemy!! Next to diving across the Marianas Trench off Guam, M.I. OORAH
SCary come alongs!!! ja ja ja ja Still getting it done and safely! Bravo OORAH
Thank you!! Yes it was pretty sketchy
Looking good!
Thank you!!
Yes boom lifts bounce around quite a bit generally, which is why workers operating one are required to wear fall arrest equipment such as a harness while in a boom lift.
Thx for the info! :)
Good afternoon from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. You both are doing an amazing job on your home. Can’t wait for next weeks project. Thank for sharing. 🇺🇸
Thx so much!!
Great work!!
Thanks!! :)
Great job you guys! You're building things to last! 😊❤❤❤
Thanks so much!! :)
You two put the dream work into teamwork!❤
Keep pushing forward!
Thanks so much!!!
Truly incredible, the undertaking, the teamwork, the enormity of the process and your dreams! Brave and beautiful! ❤️
Thank you so much!!! :)
What an awesome job for beginners 😯
Thank you for the video and looking forward to following you 🙏🏻🌈
Thank you so much!
What a great vlog full of action well done too you both. More like this please.
Thank you!! I will try my best
Good job guys ❤🎉
Thx so much!!
Another great video. Wow. Yes I hated man lifts too when we used them to cut trees down in Michigan. Very scary. Great job again.
Thank you so much!! Wow that definitely sounds scary!
Girl, you guys are making moves and strides. You should be impressed by what you’re doing not many have the courage, motivation, or drive to do so.
Thank you SO MUCH!! :) It's a lot to take on but definitely worth it
Really nice work! It was also fun to see your coastal travels this week.
Thx so much!!!
Looks GREAT!
Thx so much!!!
Mega cool 👍👍👍👏👏
Thx so much!!
I’m very impressed with your welding! ❤❤ 🔥
Thank you so much!! :)
Looking good, keep up the work.
Thanks so much!!
Love our channel. I’m learning a lot through your build. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!!!
Great teamwork and progress !!
Thank you!!!
That's some serious hardhat construction!
Yes definitely!!!
I enjoy watching you guys building your house I can see the hard work you guys put in congrats for reaching this far looking forward to see e finish watching from Jamaica
Thank you so much!! :)
Just finished your video. Great job! When you're finished, you two will have to write a book about your experience.
Thank you SO MUCH! :)
I have found with using these lifts to idle the machine to low setting once you are up high and it will move much slower. Some of the new machines have a button for slow mode for when you are up high. Also much safer with a harness so it does not eject you at them heights. Great job on build
Thank you!! Also thx for the tip! :)
Hello Toppers, it starts to look so fantastic, omg what a house and place. wish you all the power to go on. Ciao Bella.
Thank you so much!! It's coming along little by little :)
Good stuff ❤
Thank you!!
❤ Priceless Work to the both of you ❤
Thanks so much!! :)
OMG! Don’t use wire wheels on the grinder! Use Flapper Discs. They come in various grits and can be extremely aggressive in the lower grits. No wire in the face too!!
Sometimes we have to use the wire wheel for areas that are curved, bumpy, or 90 degree edges. If not we use a resin sanding disc which is really similar. :)
Dang, Viant is so good at measuring out all that steel, and you, Jessica, wow!!! The roof is going to be so interesting, I have no idea what you’re going to do!
Thanks so much!! You will see as we progress! :)
i like your addition of music to the time lapse portions of the video. keep up the good work.
Thanks so much!!
Good Job You Guys 😅😅😅
Thank you!!! :)
Wow, great progress this week, and we can finally get a hint of what the final structure might be... it's hard to wait a whole week to see the next installment.
Thank you!! :)
That was a hard day work! Can’t wait till it is finished.
Thank you!! Me too :)
Perfect welds a great respect
Thx so much!! :)
Waooooo, tremendous video.I Congratulate you. I like the videos long , to be able to better enjoy the tremendous work that you are doing.
Thank you so much!! :)
fantastico. 👍✌💪💪
Thank you!!
👍👍
Something I'd never want to do again is dig all our drainage by hand again lol, enjoy watching your updates every weekend. Looks amazing, you both work well together as a team!
OMG yeah I bet! Thank you so much!! :)
Very very good worked 😅😅
Thank you!!
Wow I was having withdrawals waiting lol, loving the progress guys and hope you had a great break
Lol thank you!! :)
Love it keep it up as always 💘
Thank you! Will do! :)
That manlift looks like a dinosaur of manlifts and probably why it is so shaky. You guys are quick learners. Stay safe!
Lol it was definitely an experience ... Thank you!!
The house is going to look really cool 🤙
Thank you!!!
That's a boom lift.
Yes, another name for it
I always use flapdiscs on the anglegrinder when i grind the flashrust…works much better then the wirewheels of death, those things are horrifying to use
We use those sometimes too it just depends on what we have on hand :)
if you don't want splatter sticking to your metal mix up dish soap and water in a sprayer and spray on before you weld and the splatter won't stick to the metal.
Thx for the tip! :)
Great job on the clips and videotagraphy !! You guys are coming along nicely 👌 One wouldn't necessarily know that the two of you have no prior experience doing this kind of building and architectural design stuff. 👍👍👍
Thx so much!!! :)
Ignore the nitwits who hassle you about wearing safety equipment.
Nothing more stylish than having ten fingers, two eyes, functioning ears and lungs, and when working at height with large objects and machinery, a life.
Yes exactly!! :)
Дуже руто🔥🔥🔥ви вдохнавляєте!!!!🌞
Thank you!!!
I love his accent 😊
Me too! :)
I have a question are you putting cement decking or wood decking ? Are you a roof overhang attached to the roof once you complete the actual steel roof structure
The interior of this structure will be the house so we will be doing concrete floors for the inside. You'll see the roof structure as we progress! :)
Is this structure for just st you too or multi family structures?
I am a touch surprised. You appear to be a very competent welder/boilermaker. I would have imagined that you would have constructed a swinging boom for your winch. Back bracing and swivelling would not be difficult when you appear to be that skilled with a welder and cutting torch. Please not I am not picking on you but even your husband shows a high degree of skill in fabrication and you both are an excellent taem. It is interesting watching you as I live in Australia and for most of the time would envy you the amount of rain you receive - not so much just now though. Cheers and thank you for inviting us all in on your construction journey.
Thank you!! We are still beginners so the first design can usually be improved after we learn and figure it out a little more. Thx for the suggestion! :)
Ciao raga, perché non vi fate una prolunga al posto della benna dell' escavatore.bravi raga👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
I wonder if your might consider drilling some weep holes in the bottom of those posts to prevent collection of condensation as the temperature and humidity changes there on the Coast? Sealed or not, everything seems to make water in that climate. You'd hate to rust out a post from the inside out.
We've thought about it but the coastal air would seep in and probably be worse
very nice greetings from holland (nederland)
Hi and thank you!! :)
Very cool stuff - those top level views are scary... I'll never do those once :D
Thank you!! Yes the height is definitely scary sometimes
Реально балдёж 👍
Thank you!!!
Maybe you should consider using some kind of harness when working up high, just a suggestion….otherwise you are doing a superwork on your build💪🏻👍
Thank you so much!! Vaillant wore one a little bit in this video. It's hard to tell though. You will see it more and more as we progress :)
Of course, that would have good to know a while ago.
👍👍👍
Thx!!
great video y'all yeah I agree that the man lift was sketchy asf but it turned out awesome in the end.. ps I don't mind the long videos 🙂 👍
Thx so much!! No pain no gain lol :)
Agreeing with Jon5050 about Safety Equipment but have not seen to much of them use in this Build Project. Man-Lift's are very awesome to use but difficult on Height Use's. You want to ..... "LIVE TO ENJOY THAT HOUSE SO YOU BOTH SHOULD USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND A INSPECTOR WOULD REQUIRE IT ALSO BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BUILDING PERMIT AND IT EFFECTS ALL THAT AT THE MOST ". YOU COULD BE FINED FOR ALL OF THAT IF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR SHOULD COME AROUND ALSO.
Termites: The reason you build a steel frame house.
Lol it certainly is an advantage considering how intense the termites are by us
You can get metal primer in a spray can. Feel like it would be more satisfying just touching up all the bare metal as you go along.
We have spray cans on hand for smaller projects but usually we are doing such a large surface that we have to go with our epoxy primer. The spray cans are really handy though.
Did you know that they build brand new Genie's over here in Moses Lake. They work much better!
I bet!! :)
Hi guys. Greetings from the UK.Your man lift is called a "Cherry Picker". Great content by the way, I'm enjoying following your journey!
Thank you!! & Thx for the info :)
Also known as a knuckle boom lift or for the politically correct “elevated work platform” love your channel, cheers
Jess when you & Vailant are watching youtube, what other channels do you guys watch? Can't Contain Us?
Andrew Camarata was a huge inspiration for us when we first started. Love his channel. We also watch Can't contain us, Pneumatic Addict, Nikki Deleventhal ... That's all I can think of off the top of my head.
How many containers and size
5 40ft container and 2 45ft containers
Jess did you take a welding class or just went out and did it with some practice Your welding on the caps look really good have you watched some of the videos where they have young people weld and tell them how much they will pay them and if they agree they go to work for the company They make good money from 25 to 45 a hour and more You do a good job on your welding 👍
Thank you so much!!! I am self taught :)
Why didn't you paint the beam after you sanded ahd before youflipped? Creating double the flipping for yourselves.
If I remember well we painted 3 sides at once and then when it was dry we flipped it back up and painted the last side. That way we only had to mix the paint maximum 2 times. It's epoxy so it's challenging to try and mix the exact amount so it helps to limit the waste.
Where do i find a beautiful, talented and ambitious woman similar to you? Your husband is a lucky man to have such a great partner in life.
Thank you!! 😊
Do the termites eat metal
Lol thankfully no
Once you finish what will you do for excitement?
We have so many plans for our property, and we have always lived a wild life so I'm sure we will think of something. We definitely we get back to traveling/road tripping more though. We miss that.
@19:05 I watched a head come off of a human being doing that exact same thing in 1996. You no match for steel beam with momentum.
That's crazy!! We always try to be as cautious as we can but sometimes we have to do dangerous things as carefully as we can.
hola son grandiosos los dos, y tu eres bellisima un abrazo desde caracas
Thank you!!
Personal question, feel free not to answer. You guys are obviously working on this full time so How do you guys make money to build and sustain day to day living?
We both work, and the videos were filmed about a year and a half ago. This allows me to post a video every week. This past video in particular took about 3+ weeks of building.
@@PacificPinesRanch so we're you working at the time of the build?
I actually can not wait to see where you're up to now!!!
yes yes am 19 number , ❤ am watching now 👍🇰🇼🙏
Thank you!
At some point near the end of the build, you will let us all know that you will never use a grinder for any reason ever again.
Lol we are one with the grinders now... forever a part of us... but it's definitely a love/hate relationship
In England we call them Cherry pickers 🙂
That's a cute name for them! :)
🇳🇴👍👍👌🥇
Thank you!!
i still say... ya need a shot of Viant, with like the classic constructions worker lunch box, having a meal up on that I-beam. hehe....maybe reading the paper/having a cafe'
I love that idea!! :)
👨🚒
Thanks!!
👍👍👍👩❤️👨👍👍👍🏢👍👍👍
Thank you!!! :)
You guys chose a complicated 'diy' design. You ciuld have joined 2 40ft containers cut out a few windows, doors etc. & made a 2 bedroom home. Dont be so hard on yourselves. Your ambition & perseverance will pay off.
We figured we would do the big build first rather than a small build which eventually leads to a bigger build. It's definitely challenging though! :)
You talk to much 😊😊😊😊😊😊
Glad you arent building a wood home
Around autumn the termites are CRAZY
Wa wa wa was buy new facemask's and stop your whining Please. Face shields very important in your line of work, you can have it delivered just call Uber lol
