    Yes boom lifts bounce around quite a bit generally, which is why workers operating one are required to wear fall arrest equipment such as a harness while in a boom lift.

    I have found with using these lifts to idle the machine to low setting once you are up high and it will move much slower. Some of the new machines have a button for slow mode for when you are up high. Also much safer with a harness so it does not eject you at them heights. Great job on build

    OMG! Don’t use wire wheels on the grinder! Use Flapper Discs. They come in various grits and can be extremely aggressive in the lower grits. No wire in the face too!!

    • @PacificPinesRanch
      @PacificPinesRanch  11 месяцев назад

      Sometimes we have to use the wire wheel for areas that are curved, bumpy, or 90 degree edges. If not we use a resin sanding disc which is really similar. :)

    I am a touch surprised. You appear to be a very competent welder/boilermaker. I would have imagined that you would have constructed a swinging boom for your winch. Back bracing and swivelling would not be difficult when you appear to be that skilled with a welder and cutting torch. Please not I am not picking on you but even your husband shows a high degree of skill in fabrication and you both are an excellent taem. It is interesting watching you as I live in Australia and for most of the time would envy you the amount of rain you receive - not so much just now though. Cheers and thank you for inviting us all in on your construction journey.

    I wonder if your might consider drilling some weep holes in the bottom of those posts to prevent collection of condensation as the temperature and humidity changes there on the Coast? Sealed or not, everything seems to make water in that climate. You'd hate to rust out a post from the inside out.

    Agreeing with Jon5050 about Safety Equipment but have not seen to much of them use in this Build Project. Man-Lift's are very awesome to use but difficult on Height Use's. You want to ..... "LIVE TO ENJOY THAT HOUSE SO YOU BOTH SHOULD USE SAFETY EQUIPMENT AND A INSPECTOR WOULD REQUIRE IT ALSO BECAUSE YOU HAVE A BUILDING PERMIT AND IT EFFECTS ALL THAT AT THE MOST ". YOU COULD BE FINED FOR ALL OF THAT IF THE BUILDING INSPECTOR SHOULD COME AROUND ALSO.

    • @PacificPinesRanch
      @PacificPinesRanch  Год назад

      If I remember well we painted 3 sides at once and then when it was dry we flipped it back up and painted the last side. That way we only had to mix the paint maximum 2 times. It's epoxy so it's challenging to try and mix the exact amount so it helps to limit the waste.
