I love your videos! So helpful! Can I ask why you teach ASL as a hearing person? I know on TikTok there are lots of videos saying hearing people, even interpreters and sometimes CODAs should not teach ASL. I’m curious.

I encourage others to learn from the Deaf community. My hope is that those learning ASL can find content that works for them then expand in finding more teachers to grow their skills.

Sadly some deaf folks really have a bitter chip on their shoulder and are spreading their poison online. Very sad and the opposite of helping to educate others and bring awareness, etc.

Always learn from dDeaf teachers. The reasons dDeaf are upset about hearing ASL teachers- 1. Often times, incorrect signs are taught 2. dDeaf jobs are limited so why take up the jobs that dDeaf can do?

What is a good sign for a "catfish"? I am trying to teach someone about online safety, as they are vulnerable to catfishing incidents. I did not realize this was so common in the deaf community.

I should once again make it clear that my physique finds ASL fingerspelling unintuitive. My autistic neurotype requires that my interlocutors, be they deaf or hearing, adjust to my far-from-standard idiolect. That's the only way we can have effective communication.

Thank you for this ASL tutorial video on RUclips. Aside from that, if I were to answer the question of using Facebook or Instagram, I would prefer not to use any of them. You can never trust or be too careful or polite or let your guard down about the people who are on Facebook or Instagram, particularly bad people and in the dating world. I prefer talking, calling, email, text, and face to face communication in person and in real life and in a public place. I also have never used Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, or anything else and not worry about dating or having a girlfriend or being tied down or in a relationship, just staying focused on my job or career and trust and have faith that God will bring the right person or woman who I can spend the rest of my life with, honestly 🙂👍👰‍♂️🤵‍♂️💒🙏🙏💒🤵‍♂️👰‍♂️👍🙂.
