    Night two, I am now back for the second half. Yes, Eva looking down at the grass as if she is quite flummoxed about the condition of the grass. 😆😆 Quite often that can be caused by underground larvae eating the roots off of the grass, sometimes it can be fungal, but the non chemical way to eliminate roots being eaten of by larvae is scatter tobacco powder generously about. Twenty years ago I convinced a friend of mine to do this, he spread 50 pounds of tobacco powder and it entirely eliminated his birch trees illness and demise. Here in the USA, in Ohio, it is June bugs (beetles) and the 17 year locust/cicada that eats the roots off of plants growing in undisturbed sod. 14:56 the drooping hostas sort of confirms the larvae theory, larvae in the sod, the roses not effected because their roots go much deeper. 15:44 My Albertine died right down to the ground, the morning glories were not kind to Albertine last summer, despite my frequent reigning in of the morning glories but they fluorished like savages and they shaded the Albertine too often. but happily, new shoots are coming up, so my Albertine was not dead, it was only sleeping, patiently waiting for springtime to come! One of the most pleasant sights that I know of is an old English style building practically buried in Albertine in full bloom. 16:05 Your delphiniums are glorious.
    16:36 Yes, my David Austin rose "The Poet's wife" is beginning to bloom now and the fragrance is a strong, intoxicatingly beautiful old rose/citrus/grapefruit combine. I bury my nose into it's blooms every time that I walk past it, and deeply regret that I must leave it and move on. 16:53 We can see here how the strong summer sun bleaches the color out of the blooms, this does not happen early springtime or autumn when the sunshine has lost much of it's power. The orange "Lady of Shallot" is quite the wake up color. If the mind begins to become jaded from so much/many shades of pink and white, cast one's gaze towards Lady of Shallot and she shall suddenly wake up the mind with her signal orange color!
    🟠🟠 Eustacia Vye is a new rose for me this summer, I have her planted in a massive clay pot growing with sweetpeas.
    I wrote much more, but the video automatically moved on and I lost it all, so disgusting. Anyhow, thank you for showing us!

    Hi Darren, love your garden. Your roses are so healthy and happy looking 💖 Have you made the move to peat free compost? Can you recommend one for roses? Thanks 😊

  • @Kamila_q
    @Kamila_q 9 месяцев назад

    What is the smallest size container that you recommend for regular rose bushes (not miniature roses and not climbers) is 5 gallon enough? What are these pretty orange pots that you have? I am thinking of putting some of my roses in pots but the big ones are very expensive and we are moving soon so I don’t want to put them in the ground. I am talking 1-2 year and we will move
    Ps. As good as it gets is absolutely gorgeous wow
