I do work on the side and have a new kx040-4 mini and an older Gehl 4835sxt skid steer with a harley rake and soil preperator, which I rarely use, the harley rake does great on its own. Questions. Why do you not run a skid steer? Could you also do a break down on the different types of rock, and how to best use it. The terminology is different in different areas, I can see. Think it might make a good video. Thanks for taking time to do videos.
Nice job! You handle that MACK like a TONKA TOY and 'tailgate' product very well. (Nice truck too!) Love the bucket work too. The way you folded that sod in the bucket, it could have been reused to make someone a nice lawn. Also like how ole ORANGE puts the finishing touches on for you (with your help!) My first observation is that the dirt is a nice color and looks so rich! Excellent work, love the way you scraped the topsoil off the ground sir! Again you are the Master Operator and this is your lane... creating roads, driveways, etc.
Hi Todd, this video was really good and interesting and I also have to say that Willard is most definitely a sound investment for your business, as you have been able to haul more road bond to this job site in half the time than it would have taken with a single axle truck. May Willard bring you even more work and I will look forward to seeing your next video and TaRa for a bit.

Here’s a tip for you , if you have your chains set at the length you want to spread gravel paint it with whatever color you want , that way you can reset your chains without having to count them every time . Have a good day 👍 ✋
I live in the mountains of North Idaho and I need to touch up my road. I've never done this before and would like your advice. The road seems to be pretty compacted overall with a few exceptions. The Base rock is exposed on the curves of my switchback and some erosion. This is my first gravel road and I know that it hasn't had any rock added to it in over 6 years. I just bought a CAT skid steer and a dump trailer. Questions: 1. Do I need to "rip up the road or can i dump gravel right on top? 2. What type of gravel should i get? 3. How much gravel (height inches), should I dump? 4. skid steer should work, right? 5. what is the difference between "Road Bond" and "Gravel?" 6 Should I lay down Road Fabric? 7. What type of Fabric should I use? Sorry for all the questions. I've seen a bunch of your videos and love them all! By the way, I have an Airbnb over here looking over the lake. Do you feel like now that you have a skid steer would you have used only it on this job? Would it have made the job a lot quicker? I’m a skid steer guy with a bunch of attachments. What do you think about pouring a concrete curb around the sides and back of the crushed rock pad? Include several drain holes on each side to make sure water can run out.
All facets of the project are contingent upon the budget of the customer ! Additional enhancements that add value to the property , and profit for the contractor might be approved !

Hey Todd, nice job! Got a question for you, how wide is your box blade? I went back and watched a couple of the vids when you got yours and your review on it. Been looking for a larger box to replace my 6 footer since I got a bigger tractor, and a heavy one too, my old Kodiak ripped the shanks in the big tube steel catching roots. I like the way E.A. has the shanks on the backside of the main tube so it doesn't weaken it. Not to many good, HD box blades out there. I'm going to step up to the 60-125 HP box and was thinking of going with the 96" wide model. I don't need the floating gate so I'll just keep it pined. Thanks for the heads up on where to get a good one at, I'll be sure to tell Ted you sent me.
