  • Join me on a tour of the OverVANning Exhibit at Camp Jordan. These vans are insane!
The videos on this channel are experimental in nature and filmed entirely on the iPhone 15 Pro Max. They should be used as tutorials of sorts to demonstrate how to make various types of videos for RUclips.

I laughed with surprise when I saw the car with a sleeping tent on top. They all had very creative use of space.

Nice show, it gives one ideas. I have considered buying a high top cargo van and doing a simple build myself. I only need a bed and all my camping equipment stored under it. It would be nice to have everything ready for camp and all l have to worry about is my clothes and food and when l get home all l have to unload from the van is just my clothes and food. Something for the future though. I'm saving for it.😊

Interesting event! We've looked at some of those vans at RV shows, too, and they are amazing. But the only way we could afford one is if we sold our house and lived in it full time. And there's no way that's going to happen. 🙂

Fun and interesting!! Trade shows like these are a fabulous source for not only gaining knowledge about the RV, van, camper, box truck, etc... lifestyle, but will no doubt generate thought provoking ideas to incorporate into your own travel needs. Traveling across the US for so many years, we had talked about buying a Roadtrek camper van. Obviously the cost was well beyond our means, so we stuck to tent camping and mom and pop motels along the way - and the once in a while car camping when the weather was a little much - LOL! In the long run, financially we made the right choice. Now that I'm a LOT older, I still get the travel bug and start looking at RV's and vans. Still out of my price range for the amount of time that I would actually use the vehicle. And - after renting an RV once, I decided it was WAY too much work for me to handle by myself. Guess I've turned into a "glamping" kind of gal now. But, I still enjoy the occasional local overnight car camping just to cook dinner and breakfast over the fire; enjoy the wildlife; swim and snorkel in the natural springs; and "unplug" for a couple of days. Cleanses the mind, body and soul! Happy Travels!!

Van Life is fascinating to me. On our Canada trip, we rented a car and stayed in 4 different hotels. Each had photography opportunities close by. For Heather and I, that worked better than trying to find comfort in a camping situation. It was both more expensive and much cheaper. As much as I'd like to try to get into camping. I think it's always going to be hotels for me. I enjoyed your tour of this event!

Hi, Tim! Although I LOVE camping, I know that I would not like the lifestyle of ALWAYS camping. I'm not a fancy person, but I need a home base that serves as my sanctuary away from people. I've heard that nomads like to get away from people, but I still think you're more inclined to meet people and have to deal with unusual people situations if you're constantly moving around. Nope, give me good old "home, sweet home" and well planned camping on occasion!! Have a lovely day, Tim!

It’s interesting to see what they can fit in a van. When our kids were small we towed a pop up camper but I never liked driving the car pulling that thing. A van looks so much easier but we are spoiled and stay in hotels now that we are older lol.

Thanks Tim, I’ll stay with my everyday driver, Toyota Venza for car camping. Just keeping it simple and enjoying the travel. Have a good one.

Thise were amazing! I love the whole van/motorhome, idea but you would have to tow a car or side by side or have electric bikes to not have to use the thing you live in but also your vehicle with a motor. I like travel trailers. This past week we had 20 airstreams shoe up in Hermann on their way to meeting up with 1400 airstreams. I could live in the smallest one called the Bambi , only $67,000!

I see the lure of it, but I like having a "home base" to come back to when I am done traveling more. I have a camper and the setup and break down would get old after a short while with me I think. I do like those sprinter van campers though...

These shows are great ways to get ideas for things. It's amazing what can be done in such a small space. But for the kind of money, they are asking for some of the built-up vans you can sure buy a lot of nights at a hotel. Your right, if it was going to be a "lifestyle" it might be worth it, but car camping is perfect for short trips. Has your upcoming trip with Ron been affected by the hurricane? It looks like a lot of camping areas had wash outs or have some tree damage. Hope the family is safe.

A van would be a good way for you to revisit Yellowstone. You said you couldn’t camp in the car for more than a couple of days. A van may be the way to go.

Agree, but stay at least one night in the old log lodge...I think that's at Yellowstone. Might be Glacier though. Dad took us to both. "Going- to-the-Sun-Road". BEAUTY!

I would love to own a van I could take off in anywhere. Have you watched Thomas Heaton's channel? His van is some 2002 Japanese import, so compact, and perfect for photography. Near us, there's a med student going to school at UCLA who lives in a van in a neighborhood close to school. Cheaper than paying for a dorm.

Spendy but you’re retired and if you can afford it, give yourself a little luxury while camping.
