I'm a crocheter and knitting has always seemed really intimidating for me. I've finally gotten into doing it only to find that it's actually really easy lol
Thank you for taking the fear and mystery out of cables. I’m ready for a sock pattern with a nice cable. Thank you so much. You are helping me expand my horizons. I love your basic toe up pattern for socks. It was my first try at toe up. It is my go to pattern for toe up and tutorial is excellent. You have taught me so much. Thank you, thank you.
i stayed away from cables for a long time because they seemed so difficult. tried out a heart cable a few months ago and it was the easiest thing ever besides fighting to knit/purl the stitches on the cable needle sometimes XD
Doing cables is easy, following the pattern and keeping on track with the amount of each stitch is the only hard thing when you want to knit something more than just basic cables.
I’m looking forward to learning how to knit cables! I always think they look so pretty but I’ve been intimidated, this is a really nice way to break it down.
My cables always end up with holes at the edges. I’ve tried to do very tight stitches but yours look nice and normal. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong
It sounds like a problem going back & forth between knit stitches & purl stitches, an issue with moving your yarn from back (for K sts) to front (for P sts) and back again when you're working off of your cable needle. That will cause holes if you have an extra yarn-over going to your stitches on your cable needle and/or back to your working needle.
I hate cable needles so so much. I always just use an extra DPN. If you’re not holding too many stitches in the middle just use one it’ll frustrate you less
Not sure if you will see this question, but here goes. I was wondering if you can steek a double knit blanket? If so, how do you hide the the finished edges after securing the steek?
There are a million variables to that question, making it impossible to answer! I recommend visiting your local yarn shop with your knitting to let them see your blanket and help you in-person.

Same! I actually really enjoy knitting I just know it’s going to take longer.
Same! I love combining the two on one project. It's fun!
What’s funny is I’m a knitter but it was VeryPink that taught me to crochet! Stacy is the master of all things!
Same, I just learned last winter after crocheting for 40 years.
@@PyroMynxi only knit my ribbing now. So much more fun than crocheting ribbing imo.
