It is a priceless gem... Can't thank pt. Jasraj enough for doing this and bringing it to us! Can't thank enough to the makers of this video! What an amazing Sanskrit poetry, one stotra invoking the both Almighty Mother and father of the universe.... After admiring this stotra for a long time, I searched for the name of the poet and was blissfully amazed to know it is Adi Shankaracharya Himself ! Obviously, a genius creation must be by a genius! The unique creator couple of the universe... Each Jeeva's Mom and Papa- Shiv baba and Parvati maa, their love for each other is so intense that they got merged into one अर्द्धनारीश्वर रूप ! Everyline pays Pranam to both- first विशेषण is for शिवा, and second for शिव ! See in this Bhajan, how amazing it is that they are so different yet are one.... Each line says something special about each half of the अर्धनारीश्वर रूप, and these things are mostly diffrent for each half... For example- We bow down to that form whose half is as fair as Champa flower and other half as fair as Kapoor, Whose one half does the "लास्य नृत्य" to create the universe, while the other half does the "तांडव नृत्य" to destroy it! ☺ One half is निरीश्वर- who doesn't have any ईश्वर above her- she is herself ईश्वर, and the other half is निखिलेश्वर, ईश्वर to all! Then the last line gives a little riddle for the intellect to decipher the meaning- It uses the same विशेषण- "शिवान्वित" is used for both- शिवान्वितायै श्च शिवान्विताय Means one who is merged into शिव and the one who is merged into शिवा As संधि of शिव + अन्वित and शिवा +अन्वित gives the same word- शिवान्वित! Aren't the उपमाs simply अद्भुत!? What poetry! And what a soulful rendition by pt. Jasraj! For those who can guess the meaning of Sanskrit by using there Shudhdh Hindi/tamil/malayalam/telugu/marathi/kannada or any Indian language Vocabulary. This Bhajan will be a treat❤☺ One sanskrit rule to be noticed- when we say "नमः" we use चतुर्थी विभक्ति - forth vibhakti so for Shiv Baba it would be शिवाय and for maa Parvati also dearly known as शिवा as she has devoted herself completely to her soulmate, Swami so much that she not only gets named after him but also shares half of his body..... चतुर्थी विभक्ति of शिवा is शिवायै । So we say after each line "नमः शिवायै, च नमः शिवाय Now you can understand each line of this beautiful love filled stotra... Enjoy and share with Sanskrit lovers☺
Yes, you are right.. I have always tried to dwell into the lyrics of this highly meaningful Sthothram, with my very little knowledge of Sanskrit, taking clues from other languages you have mentioned... And, rendered with utmost Bhaava by great Pandit Jasraj... It is an excellent piece to listen to and wonder at the one-ness of Shiva & Shakti

can any one confirms its raag bilawal ?
Sorry, but it seems Kedar.
@@rks362 its NOT even the Raag Keidhaar...it seems to be a mish-mash of the Raag Bihaag and the Raag Nandh...
it is bilawal.
