Red color, is always a very bold choice for a custom motorcycle.
And if we add some Ferrari inspiration to this, it will be even bolder.
But the project presented in this video, manages to combine all these ingredients, and look magnificent.
The custom project presented on this video, is based on a 1983 Honda CB1100 Bol d'or.
It was built by Noel Muller, founder of Black Cycles Australia.
I hope you like the video.

My special thanks to Pedro Torres, for his great help with my english.

Here in the U.S. we in the trades, reserve a phrase for machine design of artistic quality. "Thing o' Beauty!" In this case, I have the privilege of sharing my background... I worked in various industries all with novel fabrication projects. Aircraft, Assembly Lines, Vacuum Cleaners, Acoustic Musical Instruments and so many more. But I am old and the list is long and varied. I was merely the creator's assistant. My college major was Industrial Design in 1972. So, I know the passion to draw the prints, create the presentation renderings for customers. I've put the finest touch to smoothing the rough welds, stretched the wrinkled seat, hidden the wires and lines. Here in your video, were I at the unveiling of this machine and imagined assistant in this project... I would only be able to whisper to the master creator with reverence... ohhh my, thing of beauty.
I felt that build under my hands and I have a lifelong love for all things Honda! Great Video!!!
Yes- thing of beauty.
What a nice and very interesting comment. Thank you my friend for sharing your personal perspective. :) Cheers.
I used some of your material to show proportions in motorcycle design in a class on the university and everybody were amazaed by your two videos of the divine proportions and how the build of motorcycles is so near to art, greetins from 🇲🇽 mexico
That is very interesting. Thank you my friend for your support. :) Saludos.
WOW WOW WOW That is the best of the best that I've seen in my 70 years on this planet! Thank you Racer TV for bringing this MOST beautiful motorcycle to our attention.
Thank you my friend. I'm glad you liked it so much . :) Cheers.
This is a beautiful restoration and reimagination of the 1983 CB1100F. I owned this model when it was new in 1983 and it's still one of my favourite bikes. It looks amazing.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers
I like the slow morph feature in the vid, going from from the stock bike into the finished project.
Yes, that morphing sequence is always very appreciated by most followers. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
I keep watching that over and over amazing
Extraordinary. Awesome. I spent the entire video with my mouth open. I think about the number of hours to build this bike. It sure took many more hours to think and design. Of course.
Congratulations Noel Muller and the entire team who worked on this splendid work of art.
Thank you for brightening my eyes and ears.
Yes, this is indeed a very special one. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Probably one of the most elaborated projects until now (ok let's not forget Guzzi), ceramic coating makes wonders, Lettering on a tank is awesome, the only thing which I would change is a transition of the front part of subframe toward rear fork. I see that it's too rounded, I feel the more angular corner change would fit better. It's an astonishing project, a masterpiece. Obrigado Victor.
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. To be honest, i think the most elaborated project i ever presented on this channel, is this one: ruclips.net/video/ejj9TeLYNdM/видео.html :) Cheers.
What a genius motorcycle, it is very beautiful, what beautiful details!!! thank you, what a good video!!!
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
I personally don't like the colour red on bikes but in Honda it always fits right and same with this build ❤
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
This is yet another amazing build which as you suggested has left me in half a dozen minds, not just two, over various items, but mainly (as you said) the paint.
I love the red, and the 3D effect on the tank is quite remarkable. A simple technique, but beautifully done and presented. My "issue" is with the Burn Bronze coloured parts. I can't decide, mentally, if I like it or not! Part of me says it would look better in black, but then I see a different angle and I change my mind!!
The electrics box, I presuming mainly for the battery, just in front of the rear wheel is very well disguised, as well as the micro LED indicators on the side of the number plate are a very nice minimalistic touch. I love the tubes being used for the hydraulic reservoirs, as opposed to the "Normal" pots.
It's good to see Metmach Engineering swinging arm in use. (I always wanted one for my Suzuki X7 back in the 80s!)
I feel there's a big gap between the back of the engine and the back section of the frame that makes the engine look pushed forwards ... but that me being overly picky with my personal point of view.
I have pointed out a few things I'm not keen on with this bike, however I do like it! As I said earlier it's left me in half a dozen minds about it not just two.
And Yes Racer TV you will see me on the next video.
L&R From Down Under.
Yes, this is indeed a remarkable project, full loaded with surprising details. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
The majority of the builds you show are high end and truly as much art as machine. Although I appreciate these bikes I could no more ever build or own one than will ever own a Picasso. As such I would like to see more common man (or woman) shed builds on your channel; bikes that truly channel the original intent of the 50's and 60's cafe racers. Kindest of regards and many thanks for all your videos. 🇨🇦
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. I completely understand what you said, and i really try to bring more "Shed builds" to the channel. Unfortunately, most of them don't have enough quality photos/videos, to create a 8 minutes video. :) Cheers.
Another excellent and informative production Racer TV. Thank you my friend.
Thank you my friend for your support. :) Cheers.
An other crazy clean looking build, thank's you !
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
So clean so beautiful, well done.
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Among my favorite words to hear - Welcome.. to Racer TV! Keep Up the Great Work!
Lol. Thank you my friend for your kind comment. :) Cheers.
Cleanest bike built i have ever seen😮Beautiful!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked so much my friend. :) Cheers.
This is another example of an amazingly well thought out design. Sometimes, red is just the right color, yes, the only color. This is a beautiful bike! And, as always, thank you for Racer TV, the Café Racers only choice! Hope all is well with you. Take care and ride safe my friend! :)Cheers
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. You too. I hope you have better weather than us here in Portugal. 2 weeks of rain, with no intervals of sun. :) Cheers.
This is a piece of art ❤
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Iñ a word, I would have to say
" REFINEMENT " Victor !
This extraordinary piece of artwork is simply screaming with so many refinements, you would swear that you were looking at highly refined high-end production bike that most of us can only dream about !
What an impressive selection for this edition of Racer TV !
Thanks again for your time and dedication to this addictive hobby/sport !
Great video as always Racer. Black cycles have done an excellent job with this CB1100, it's one very sweet looking bike, I wish I still had my 1981CB900. Ride safe and take care mate. Cheers
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. You too. Thank you. :) Cheers.
I've been mulling over those exact engine colours for a honda cg125 engine including red wrinkle rocker cover, Now I'm convinced, it is also a red bike.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
@@RACER_TV Really, thank you for creating such an great channel. I would love to see some more in depth build features, ie workshop visits and parts sources. The short films are excellent too. Best wishes.
Unbelievable masterpiece!!!
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Preciosa Honda, chulisima la pintura y los contrastes de brillo y mate, y el chasis parece de carbono ( sin soldaduras) espectacular en todos los sentidos 👍👍👍
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Saludos
Beautiful
Exactly a week ago a driver crossed into my lane while we were coming out of the stop sign at the traffic light, hitting me on the left side. My natural reaction was to put my foot down and that's when the tire ran over me, breaking several of my fingers. As a friend told me, it was cheap. My motorcycle only suffered a broken mirror. Since then I have been at home on medical leave. As they always tell me to give up motorcycles, of course I'm not going to do it, I didn't do it with 11 fractures. Regarding this project, as you say, the color is the center of the look, in itself the red catches the eye and how could it not be done with a motorcycle that with the modifications looks more massive and impressive. I definitely like it, but I think my cylinder capacity limit is 650, I think it is the maximum of the minimum and I am a minimalist by nature. The mix of colors is elegant and especially that tone of the front suspension, it changes the boring gold, silver or black. On this bike it would have been a mistake to use those colors. The sound is more like a car than a motorcycle, but that only adds more character to this great bike. In Mexican Spanish we have a saying about the humongus being at odds with the greatness (lo grandote está peleado con lo grandioso). This bike is big, but it's just full of greatness.
Dear Alexandro.
I am very sorry for your accident.
But i am happy for your will power.
Riding a motorbike, is only good for the soul.
Not riding a motorcycle, will cause long-term pain, which is even more painful than an accident.
Keep the strenght.
Always be positive, and the universe responds in the same way.
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective about this beautiful honda. :) Saludos
A well thought out and engineered project indeed, I'd only change the exhaust tho but it's only me 😂. Awesome bitchin ride 👍
Lol. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Narration is as great as bike. Please keep us amusing and educating with such a great content in future..Thanks much…
Thank you my friend for your kind comment. :) Cheers.
I also wanted a red bike, but somehow i now have a silver and two black bikes,
and two of them have the perfect color for them :D
I started to search for indicators at the half of the video and was quite sure, there are none....
Very nice bike and edit as always!
Lol. Yes, I also didn't noticed them. I only saw them when I was finishing the last 2 minutes of the video. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
@@RACER_TV nevertheless i guess such a beauty might be illegal in germany or european union anyway :( but i to have confess after trying out some led indicators i switched back to original because i feared they might be overseen
STUNNING
Amazing Job....i loved it 🤩🥰
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
I wonder why he left the lettering on the swing arm? Contractual agreement? Absolutely stunning build!
Lol. I was expecting someone to talk about that. To be honest, I also don't know. Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Metmachex was an iconic racing brand in the 70s and 80s that only a few could have as they were hand made in a small factory. The company all but slowed to nearly no production before being taken over in recent years, it’s still very small, so they are a rare part still that is made to order.
Moto sensacional.👏👏👏
Obrigado amigo pelo simpático comentário. :) Um abraço.
the dirt from the rear tire will directly hit the air intake of the non protected carburetors🤔🤨, looks nice though, good video thanks
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
Amazing work and great vid show casing it
Thank you my friend for sharing your perspective. :) Cheers.
AWESOME PROJETC!!!!!!!!! thank for this find!!!!
Thank you. I'm glad you liked my friend. :) Cheers.
Hi Victor, it's a nice project with excellent features "but" too red to my taste, honestly I don't think this one would be very high on the next "top 20" list.
The colours are all down to brand
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Incredible build, it looks so clean ! Looks like the fuel tank is based on a KZ650SR.
Interesting. It could be. Some of the lines are very similar. But Noel only said it was a highly modified aftermarket fuel tank. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Yaoza!! 'Attention to Detail' is an understatement. 👀👏
Lool. Indeed. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.

What a sweet build
Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
A bateria existe sim. Você consegue ver no final deste video. Está dentro numa caixa preta com algumas alhetes por baixo do motor/escora :) Um abraço
This is beautiful hot honrarri 🔥🔥🔥
Loool. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
すごい
Incrivel, as cores sao armonicas
Obrigado amigo. Fico contente que tenha gostado. :) Um abraço.
battery is between rear tyre/swing arm and engine
Indeed it is. :)
Yoshimura exhaust is the best for cb11
It's not my opinion that Red colour makes a car or motorcycle nicer !
Yes, I agree. But somehow, in some cars and some motorcycles, the Red color fits like a glove. Thank you my friend for sharing your opinion. :) Cheers.
Where is the battery in this bike?
You can see the box at the end of this video. Cheers.
play at 1.25x speed
Wow speechless
If I had the money I would by the most potent superbike engines and have them installed in bodies like this, I'm never going to curve or put my knee down, I want power, speed thrills and easy riding. BMW 1000, Ducati Panigale, Hayabusa, and anything else making near 200hp and above in this body.
Bikes are meant to be ridden and this looks like a horrible ride. All the weight on the front, with very little of front suspension travel and minimal ground clearance. You could maybe cruise on this, so why the high end race carbs and big bore? Also those cheap hose clamps for the brake and clutch fluids are like place holders, same with this little prick on the top of the tank. Then there is this Koso gauge in the tank. Impossible to look at with this forward leaning position. Basically useless. All show, no go, unfortunately. There is too many engineering mistakes to this project to appreciate the stylistic design.
Please, post your latest bike build!
@@davidt9841 I only build race motorcycles, so I focus on function not looks. They look like any other racing motorcycle, but they've won championships. I could link a few photos, but YT does not allow that, I think.
