I've bought a couple of knife sheaths from " Hide & Drink" they are a good company and good quality product. I'll have to get one of these pouches I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Thanks for bring this to our attention.
I almost got this before. Was on the fence. I saw that another company had some new pouches coming out and I went with them. i might still get this being waxed canvas is nice!
Viperade has some good looking stuff. Mainly due to the fact they use a lot of designs by other people. And generally just don't care. Asked them about it one time and got a very calloused and uncaring answer. Never looked at them again. I do want to try the hide and drink.
Most of the items like this come from China (not including the H&D) where they dont care to respect trademarks, copyrights or patents. It's unfortunate and doesn't encourage innovation. Definitely give the Hide and Drink a go. They seem to be a good company to buy from just by reading their mission statement.
This hide and drink organizer has great build quality, but there are so many organizers with this exact form factor that I wonder if they all followed the same youtube tutorial. At least Viperade improved on it. I'm trying out the Tactical Geek EDC Pouch right now while waiting for the Mars Gear Tactical Mini Pocket Organizer to come in. Both are clamshell designs with two pockets on the front, one on the back. The Tactical Geek one is high build quality but a bit too short for my liking. My goal right now is to be able to fit a slim profile USB-C charging block into the pouch, since the new gallium nitride tech allowed those to shrink significantly.
@@SurvivingtheDaily Mars Gear Tactical Mini Pocket Organizer is the winner. Just the right size, has the external pockets I want, has the clamshell design I want, and has this great internal velcro setup where you can arrange your stuff the way you want. I'm almost certain the velcro was done as a cost savings measure to make it easier to manufacture, and then they accidentally made something superior to the regular design. I might make more elastic patches just by sewing some fabric elastic to velcro strips... There are a number of minor changes I'd like to make to it, but this is fundamentally what I wanted, I can fit a flat Belkin 20w charging block in with my other stuff now, and it's only $13.50. I highly recommend it!
Little more expensive than the chinese copy cats on Amazon, but good company to support and I like the color options. Plus, it does seem like better quality.
I've been carrying this exact same Hide & Drink pouch for a year now. I was trying to decide between a Viperade or the one I got. How do you like the Viperade compared to the Hide and Drink?
To be honest, the H&D hasn't had any time in my pocket. I carried the Viperade VE1 for a long while, which is the exact same size and function as the hide and drink. It suited me fine but there was one design flaw I didn't like about both of them so I upgraded to the VE16 right before I purchased the hide and drink.
I bought this one and I have not been disappointed. Very well made, and that leather smell!!
Awesome to get the positive feedback. Thank you!!

Thank you for watching! This is my second H&D and have not been disappointed so far.
Happy Holidays,Bro
Thank you Tony! Happy Holidays to you too!!
Thanks for sharing! I've seen the Hide & Drink on Amazon. Good to see it in a video.
They are worth checking out. Their mission statement is worth the purchase alone.
Very nice, I love working with waxed canvass!
It's such a nice and rugged material.
Looks like a good one. I like the story behind it to. The smell of leather is awesome!
I could smell it through the Amazon packaging. I kinda wonder if they spray it with something. Either way, it was very pleasing.
@@SurvivingtheDaily 😁👌
H&D is great..I’ve put mine away as I’ve moved to clamshell openings..very cool..
I have to admit, I do like the Maxpedition you're carrying. I don't like the traditional clamshells that open all the way up.

The waxed canvas is a really nice touch. If I hadn't found the VE16, I would definitely be rocking the H&D.

@@SurvivingtheDaily they've been on my list to try for quite some time now. I need to pull the trigger on it!

Sounds like you have a similar addiction to EDC pouches. I'd be interested in finding out what you settle on.
@@SurvivingtheDaily If I'm not careful I'll end up buying a sewing machine!

Is that the Fatigue color?
Fatigue is the color I ordered. Not sure if that's the color of what I received. Lol. The pictures look greenish. My video shows the color accurately.

What color is that hide pouch? Looks different on Amazon .
You know, I don't know. Lol. I ordered the "Fatigue" color and received the tan. Not quite sure but it was a non-issue for me.
