- It is good for emergencies due to it's many options, NOAA weather is a must, AM FM does ok and will work, Shortwave is horrible. the 5000 MAh will power your smart phone in emergencies and the powerful flashlight and lamp are really good

Headphone jack and emergency alarm are 2 features that were overlooked. All in all a good review.
Where is there a headphone Jack on this?
It has to be the color. It seems cool! LOL
This a class of radios that I will almost never spend money on, but ALWAYS love seeing videos about them! :D
merci pour cette review du radio ! j avais l intention de l acheter mais le fait du muting tuning comme le DX-394 je vais laisser faire et en trouver un autre
Thank you
I bought his radio just recently for one purpose: NOAA weather. All the other features are secondary for me. It's a second unit to me and it'll do what I bought it to do. 🤓
does the power/volume have to be on in order to receive the NOAA emergency alerts? I remember my folks used to have a dedicated weather ratio (plug in) and it would give a siren and then you could push a button and it would turn on the sound to listen.
Im planning on getting this
Can you test the SW with a long wire, or a jumper to the center contact on your MLA-30? Just curious. Great review!
Okay so I changed my triple A batteries and still not working. Screen on but I can't really change channels and no sound is coming out. I figured batteries are a way to have it work without it charging?
When do you know when it’s fully charged??
I guess this catch-all is not my cup-of-tea. I’ve got many rechargeable flashlights, power banks. NOAA radios, AM/MW/SW radios that are well sited for the tasks. I don’t see an attraction to this item but I realize that I am not in the target market for this particular product.
How wb working in this radio( Iam from India)
You skipped over the part I'm interested in. My understanding is that it can charge a cellphone. But it can only provide power for a brief call or quick text. Is this correct? Or would I be able to recharge my cellphone from a 50% battery to 100%? If so, would this require cranking the handle a lot? Thanks.
IT is really for emergencies, just enough charge to make that important phone call
@@OfficialSWLchannel Thanks.
Is there a trick to getting NOAA stations. I just get noise on all.
do you know if you have a NOAA station near you?
@@OfficialSWLchannel yes Pensacola, maybe I'm too far.
How do u charge it
It has a hand crank on the back, and it has a Micro USB port on the right side next to the aux port for charging the radio
The solar panel on the top doesn’t really charge the battery but if the battery has a little power stored then it will keep the battery from draining while the radio is in use
You can also put normal AAA batteries in it
