I am familiar with Asheville and mountain run off flooding. It's heartbreaking to see and hard to swallow the devastation, destruction and the mass loss of life that helene caused. 🙏🏼😞 Ben, There is over 1000 people unaccounted for💔. 🙏🏼 Pray hard!!
Thank you for your kind words Ben! I live in Statesville NC. I live in the Piedmont just below the mountains. Iredell County. Our mountains are devastated and most rescues are being by helicopters and boots on the ground. They are also using horses and pack mules to get up to people trapped in homes. Statesville municipal Airport is a hub for collecting donations that are being choppered out. Please keep those prayers coming as the death toll continues to rise. Much love and peace to you and your family. 💚 Angel Shelton Statesville NC
Ben my granddaughter was in college in Montreat, NC. Montreat is a Christian college. Cate is in her senior year, playing volleyball. The school is closed now. She made it home to Jacksonville, FL yesterday after an 8hr. Trip. Her mother had to give her directions around the road closures. She is safe but traumatized. Please pray for Her and all affected. ❤🙏 look up Montreat College pictures!
Samaritans Purse is another great resource. They’re in Valdosta Georgia today and heading to North Carolina where Samaritans Purse is located and affected by the hurricane as well
It's river flooding versus flash flooding. I live in the Northern Panhandle of WV and when Hurricane Ivan came through here in 2004 all the creeks and streams flooded quickly, as they do. Then a few days after the storm, all the creeks and streams drain into the river and the river flooding happens. River flooding is a slow wait, you have time to pull belongings out of your home, move equipment, etc. unlike flash flooding where a creek goes from 7 feet to 20 feet in a matter of hours from all the rain runoff and ruins everything in it's path (like what just happened in Tennessee and North Carolina). It's heartbreaking to see so much devastation in such rural areas.
Thank you for the kind words 🖤 Greenville, SC here. Served a couple today that lost their entire home in Asheville and they didn’t have flood insurance because they were so far away. It’s one of those big wake ups that make you count your blessings that you even wake up and are healthy. Hoping the next storm brewing doesn’t hit. And the one after that.

Thank you Ben for your heart felt words and prayers. I live in North Carolina about 2 hours east from western area destroyed by the flash floods and storm. Some of the areas that Gigi and Kim visited on their trip in the mountain area last year (I think it was last year) are now totally washed away. Samaritans Purse is located in the Boone-Blowing Rock area and immediately began to set up relief areas. I-40 is washed out in areas in North Carolina and Tennessee, along with most roads in the area. So relief efforts are extremely limited. Please continue to pray for all those personally affected by this disaster and those who are responding to help in getting power, all utilities restored, clean up efforts, and supplies needed for daily lives. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
I called my carrier when l got cell service after 12 hours & they said it was a National outage. Omg for all the poor souls that have lost their lives & their families. ❤❤❤
God bless you and your beautiful heart Ben. You are such a gentle loving man and I just want to say how much I love and admire you. I feel sure you won’t take this the wrong way because I am an 87 year old lady. We all need to direct our prayers to all the areas that suffered loss and devastation especially those who lost family and family members. When you pray tonight remember to pray for our country. God bless you and keep you safe sweet Ben.
Hey Ben! I am a North Carolina native and resident. I am heartbroken to see the western part of my home state totally devastated. Your pronunciation of Appalachia was correct! It grates the nerves when it is pronounced incorrectly. Please pray for the residents and especially the first responders and volunteers that are helping in the recovery. Samaritans Purse and the Red Cross are great vetted organizations to donate to. Also the Salvation Army and the NC Disaster Recovery Fund. Thank you every one for your prayers for North Carolina!!❤❤
‼️👍Thank you Ben for the information on hurricane Helene our 🙏prayers reach out to all of them. Take care and warm regards to the rest of the family. 😊‼️
Ben, here in Scottsdale AZ all our cell service & internet was out for 12 hours today. Can you imagine all the way out West? Om gosh this is horrible 😢 God bless you all and many prayers 🙏🏻 for ALL affected 🙏🏻 in this tornado 🌪& 🙏🏻 hurricanes. My heart goes out to you all.
They received over 20 inches of rain in a very short amount of time and the power of the water rushing down the mountains wiped out everything in it's path. I am in NE Ga and the hurricane was predicted to hit us as a CAT 1. It ended up going east of us and we were spared (Thank you, Jesus). We too, were flooding from the rain that we got on Wed & Thursday, before the hurricane rain even started. But, south GA got hammered with wind & rain from the hurricane and there are tons of trees down and 1000s without power. Ben, you are correct. NC got the worst of it due to the flooding. I am hearing the death toll will go way up. Pray for these folks.
We live in the foothills of SC just 40 minutes from Chimney Rock & Lake Lure and just 1 hour from Asheville. So many area's are just unrecognizable and as of today the death toll is still climbing and people are missing. Please continue to pray for those suffering loss of their families and homes as well as the people working and helping. 🙏
A Cousin and friends got together and rented a large U-Haul truck and are collecting all kinds of supplies, bed linens, clothes, etc. from various neighborhoods where they live and are driving it to the published staged areas in the affected area who are accepting donations that will become part of the air drop relief that officials are organizing. They plan to do the same thing several times and then again when it comes time to help those people out with furniture and appliances.
Dear Ben I live 2 hours away from Asheville, NC Thank you for your kind and caring words . You are so right the devastation is total horror. I'm in my 70s and never ever thought I would live to see this tragedy. Chimney Rock well known tourist attraction was washed away all roads covered in harsh flowing muddy water due to land slides. It truly looks like their was never a little town with stores and houses next by. My heart goes out to everyone their going through these devastation . So many are helping clear roads rescuing the one on top of mountain of which 200 beds are ready for them in Salisbury NC Y. Thank you for posting this anything you guys where ever you are can do will be appreciated. Ben thanks again for being their for all the ones needing help. So much unity I have been makes me feel so Proud to said I live in the USA. God Bless All effected help is there and still help is coming...Brotherly love is Unity. MAY GOD BE WITH EACH ONE FROM K Town N C Stay Srrong you are loved❤
Thank you Ben, my Sister and her Family own A home and live in Asheville. They are just destroyed by the horrific damage and loss caused by these events. Thank you for your prayers, they are needed by many at this time. We are so very saddened for all affected by this storm. 💔😭
Back in 2014 I had plans to move to Ashville NC but I ended up moving to Moore County NC instead. My heart goes out to everyone in Ashville 😢💔Thanks for covering this Ben 💙
Thank you Ben for such a nice video. I live in southwest Virginia and in my 74 years I have never experienced such wind and such devastating circumstances in places just a few miles down the road. Tennessee river just 2hrours from me rose 35 feet and a hospital was underwater. The had yo rescue people off the roof. Thank you for your prayers for us in Appalachian country.
Ben I live in the foot heels of our mountains, 2 hour trip to Asheville. Thank you for asking for prayers for everyone in our mountains. We have had many loss of peoples lives. All ages, all genders, and all races. Sad situation, heart wrenching pictures emerging every hour. Lots of churches, and businesses running groups to go help, taking needed supplies
Thank you for a very informative video. This really tears at my heart. I pray that all affected get help. There is a large part of the country affected that are rural poor.😢
Thanks Ben for your prayers and support for the people that have been affected by this devastating weather. I am in Eastern Tennessee but other than rain and wind and fallen trees we are fine. We only lost power for a short time due to trees taking down a power line. However, I am praying for everyone affected by this crazy weather 🙏 ❤️ 🙏
Thank you Ben for a heartfelt video. I am from North Carolina and love our mountain region. I live 2 hours from the mountains but vacation there when possible. The Appalachian area is so beautiful but the people who live there are very poor usually and the little houses they lived in were on the sides of the mountains and I just can’t imagine how devastated they must feel. Chimney Rock was a favorite place for our family to visit and we are being told the entire town is gone. Your call for prayers and donations is so appreciated. I would say I hope people will be careful when they donate to be sure the money gets where it should be. Scams will be rampant. I’m sorry this post is so long but you touched me and I thank you, Ben.
Thanks for this . I live in Pageland sc we got rain 1 night but just 25 miles east was bad. And now there are 2 new storms out in the gulf. So please keep praying

Hi Ben❤ It’s bad it hit us here in Florida Thursday night we didn’t have any damage but no power or water for a couple days. Thanks Ben for your concern ❤
I have cousins in that area that got out and haven’t been able to see what has happened to their homes. But they are alive and so are their pets so that’s something. If they need to come stay with me my home is open for them! Bless those that need help rebuilding and Will hope that FEMA can really get their stuff together and really help! Thanks Bennet!❤

I vacationed in Ashville, NC a few years ago. The town was very eclectic and art forward. I loved walking up & down the streets going in and out of the different shops. They had so many restaurants and outdoor sitting areas with trees and gardens. A beautiful town that I thoroughly enjoyed! I'm so sad that the people and their town have gone through such devastation. My prayers go out to all that have been affected by Helene. ❤
You have a good heart Ben. I hope you had a good weekend. I'm a few hours away from the Tn/ Carolinas and its a sad sight. Maggie Valley was a quaint place but popped when festivals happened. Its so sad.
Thank you ben there is just so much devastation here roads I've driven many times gone. Lives lost animals lost. So much devastation here. All we can do is pray
❤Bless your sweet heart, Ben!! Words can't describe how much your message means to me. Thank you! I live in South Carolina. Our upstate over to the Midlands where I live really took a hard beating. 20 so far deceased here. It's a mess & very sad. Be safe & Pray on. I never miss your Video's. I look forward to them!! Thanks for sharing your life.😊❤💛🙏
Unfortunately for a lot of the people in Tennessee and NC there will be no way of rebuilding…there is no longer land to build on. What was there in a lot of those little towns are now cliffs. The mountains no longer look the way they did before. The only way into the areas effected is by helicopters…there are no roads without damage or are completely gone. There are no airports or run ways or anything for that matter. My heart goes out to everyone effected especially all of those that are still stranded without any kind of communication from the outside world. No one can even begin to imagine or relate to what they are going through. NC and Tennessee got hit the hardest with no doubt. One of the rescuers stated that the impacted area of NC and TN is about the same size of the state of Massachusetts but could be larger once they are able to access these areas on land. That to me is mind blowing!
Asheville , NC is just 3 hours from where one of my sons live. They said it was a beautiful town of just under 100,000. Now it is in ruins. The only cell service or power is downtown wifi. They have no idea how many casualties. Praying for all of these cities and states. So devastating. Cedar Key and Hudson were virtually knocked down from the videos I've seen here on youtube.
Example … normal lil flowing trickle creek that turned into Niagara Falls in a matter of hours. Most only hear about damage for Floridians but NC, GA & TN are so much worse than FL. There are hundreds missing … these people need prayers
HI Ben, It is so sad Ben, Many prayers for then. We are in SE GA and still no power. I have a grandson in SC he has no electric. Hopefully we will be getting some back soon. We have a generator so at least e have lights and internet.
Thank you for your prayers and compassion, Ben. You are blessed with a compassionate heart and knowledge ❤

Hello Ben, I always enjoy your videos. I really like how you have your hair today. Looks nice on you. You look younger.😊
