we love that mining complex you are at .....so many ways into the main stopes ....all cut in Quartzite ....they drilled dry in it so the miners contracted silicosis very fast ... if you enter in through the haulage drift below where you are at you will find a lot to explore ....just up from where you are at is another entrance like the one you went in that connects to the April Fools vein ....a lot o see there to ...you could spend months there and not see it all ....bring plenty of rope... be safe out there and keep them vids a coming my brother
That has got to be the scariest looking mines I've seen you explore and I have been watching you for a while now
Beyond scarry, stay safe.
That was a much larger mine than I expected. God bless the men that had to dig that. Please stay safe. Thank you for taking us with you. I would never do that by myself.
Excellent mine!! 👏🏼👏🏼
that loose rock makes some interesting noises as you walk over it. thank-you for braving the snow to bring us that great video.
Are you crazy???? I was terrified watching this, thinking the ceiling was going to fall on you at some point. Or you were going to fall into a hole of no return. And you are alone. One thing for sure, you’ve got ___ of steel.
Wow huge stopes that can only be seen by someone with a lanky frame could bring us. Thank you for outstanding video production.
Sky puppy,love it😅
Dude, I appreciate you crawling in all these mines, love the mine videos.
But, this mine was a little too sketchy for me.
Again, thanks and I appreciate all your efforts climbing through all these tunnels.
Stay safe!
Thats one of the sketchier mines you have shown us. I've been in the War Eagle and the Noonday mines but this one I do not think I would have ventured into.
“Sketchy” was also the word I was thinking about when he entered this mine!
That was an extensive tunneling operation.
Thx for the explore, be safe.
Insane
This mine needs a sign, Rocky Road Ahead.
Wow, that's a lot of rock and a real test for any boot. You can see the dust flying all around you. Take care.
While I can do what you do. I am pretty claustrophobic. I love watching stuff like this. So let me ask you a question. Have you ever encountered something in mines that you couldn't explain with animals, natural conditions. That left you going WTF?
I can see why they call it the Widowmaker mine.
How do you find your way back out? Do you mark your trail?
its called the right rule, or some such. travel straight till you come to another choice. go right. if you get to the end of that then turn around and go till you can go right again.in that case you will be on the same trek straight. when you run out of right turns you will be at the entrance.
You’re gutsy😮
Spotless. No trash, bottles or graffiti.
It sounded like there was some pretty good wind blowing through that first collapsed hole you squeezed through once you got in. I bet something connects to the surface somewhere else. I keep a midget anemometer in my pack so I can see where there's airflow (when it isn't obvious from the sound of air blowing through). Some other explorers use cigarette smoke to do the same thing.
That was definitely worked by more than just a few miners and for more than just a couple years. What were they mining?
If you lost your lighting, could you find your way out?
How do you not get lost?
You should come on up to Ely sometime we have a really couple of old really nice minds big enough to drive a diesel in
I would love to know for what mineral resource they were mining, and when they did it. What a sketchy mine!
I like that see if I can do this safely
How often do you get X-RAYS or MRI or CAT SCAN
of your lungs??? Do you have to use inhalers??? 😮
Especially with all the earthquakes and volcanic eruptions , don't think I'm going in there.
I love these explorations but I also know if I ever tried it I would come face to face with some wild animal!
So much loose rock on floors made it sketchier than usual. It did have an effect just watching.
Don't do it!
You have balls of quartz to go in these caves.
Nice portal. often we lode miners use bent drill stems as scaling bars so they get bent even worse. I have Asbestosis and Silicosis
i have 2 comments. one, please go to walmart and get some glo sticks. no one ever tosses one down those black holes to see if the bottom is in sight.
two, when you raise your camera i see the shadow of it from a light on your head or behind the camera. when you would aim up into those stopes the shadow would block our view.
maybe if you didnt raise the camera to look up or put out the light behind it.
FANTASTIC trip, keep it up.
