I remember getting this, the graphics and scope of the game was mind blowing.

This is 480 pixels lmfao but the video itself is 720 with 60fps, where as pc can go to 1080 with 60+ fps if your computer is good enough.... Dont compare both. They are both good in their own ways.

This is such an amazing game, I still play it on PC often. Open world RPGs were largely unheard of on console back in 2001 when it came out, it was def a groundbreaking game at the time; was in middle school when it came out, I just enjoyed watching my friends play it while I used the included fold out map to look for cool areas to go (the grazelands of course). The soundtrack just made that much more immersive. A gamers classic imo.
I was in middle school to, that fold out map was awesome. Many nights up all night playing this game, I always say I wish I kept my copy that had the map. I'm sure it's a rare piece to get these days

yea that is wild to think that morrowind through skyrim were only 9 years apart. Today, 9 years would be considered games such Bloodborne, The Witcher 3, MGSV.
Despite awful load times this was a very good port of the PC version. Hopefully the next Elder Scrolls game will be more like Morrowind. I miss all the throwing stars, crossbows, spears, levitation spells and talking merchant mudcrabs...haha
Maximillion Roivas Travel Stained Pants were the best item ever if you played a melee character.

yea i didn't know about the elder scrolls games at all when i bought this for the original xbox and i was hooked from the start it was amazing the amount of stuff in the game and its size. I like it more than oblivion and skyrim,

Truly was mind blowing. Back in the day, no early release gameplay, no youtube to watch reviews on it from... Just the fortunate people who stumbled across this and were addicted to it (myself included). Endless hours of enjoyment, as a 10-12yr old this game was something i never experienced before. But treasure the fact that i was lucky enough too. Like they say, ignorance is truly bliss... i guess thats why we reminisce on how things were... sometimes i wonder if the developers realize how much this game series means to some people.
It's sort of sad to think that one day Skryim and all of the current best games will be featured in some retro video where kids can't comprehend how people bothered to play games that weren't immersive simulated VR with 50k resolution. I grew up on n64 and it was revolutionary at the time, now it's hard to play after a night on the ps4, not even ps5. Still play smashbros with the boys though.

I remember playing this when I barely understood English, so far I spent more hours in the loading screens of TES III Morrowind on Xbox than playing Skyrim Special Edition on Xbox One.
Ah, the memories...the music in Seyda Neen brings back so much nostalgia, I absolutely have to play this again.

Oh God! I bought this game in 2004 for 5 bucks. I never heard of the Elder Scrolls before but was instantly hooked. I forgot how poor the draw distance was on the X Box. This made the pathfinding so freaking hard :D

Sam Dunphy Under 14? You're probably too young to understand or appreciate it. Most young people can't appreciate older games like this and get upset about something like the combat or the graphics.
Over 14? Understand the entire game is very complex and doesn't hold your hand. Doesn't mean it's hard, just have to learn the ropes. Save a lot. Don't put your stats in the wrong places.
If you've determined whether you'll like it or not, then proceed to buy it for PC. It should work on most PCs. If yours can handle it, and you want to, throw some graphics mods into it. Of course if you're not tech savvy you won't have any idea how to do that.

i ended up getting another controller at a thrift shop. still have to fix the disc tray though. i doubt i could put much time into morrowing on the xbox vs the pc with mods.

If it is your class or birth sign then maybe look up a guide for the one that suites your playstyle
if it is the game itself all i can say is continue and see if it gets any better
it starts out super hard but once you get the hang of it and figure out what type of character you want to play as and start leveling up, it will get easier

Playing the series backwards. Played skyrim on 360, then finished glitched parts on ps4. Then started oblivion, but bought 4 cds for pc morrowind, but couldn't load it is bought xbox classic off craigslist for $40, game for $30, and saw seeda nin for the first time yesterday.
My god I loved playing this on Xbox the only annoying thing was the game would crash a lot thankfully I bought the pc version and still play it to this day with open morrowind wow did that make the game more playable and enjoyable.
The water looks realistic
When classic games come backwards compatible with the Xbox one, I will play this instantly.

Aside from the load times, this was a spectacular port, it's pretty amazing they actually pulled it off on such limited hardware.

I first played this game on the Xbox. It stole about two months of my life, fullstop, and part of me still prefers the controller to play it, because of how surprisingly intuitive it felt vs keyboard commands. (Right click for your menu? Seriously?)

funkyflights yep that's 100% true graphics don't make a game , its the gameplay that matters. Uc4 was a awesome game that combined the visuals and gameplay but when it comes to multiplayer, that game is not one of those games to be taking seriously.
Gears while it has graphics but equal to uncharted level when it comes to single player, Gears destroys uc4 on most gameplay mechanics especially multiplayer which the game value last for a long time.
Still have my OG XB and Morrowind GOTY..along with a few other gems including POTC made by Bethesda for OGXB

Oni Underfell Asriel Dreemurr The combat is a lot different. Instead of the skill determining the damage amount, it determines the chance of actually hitting your enemy. Same with all other skills. But this game is amazing and you should definitely pick it up.

How hard and/or expensive is it in order to get the GOTY edition? Also, does it come with two discs like Fallout 3 or just one?
I paid around 40 bucks for the copy I got, and it's 1 disk .. You can find them on Ebay for a little cheaper, the one I got is in mint condition....
I bought mine off Gamestop for 15 bucks, 5 for shipping. And it's just one disc. That said though, they only have the platinum edition for Xbox.. I know many people, myself included who don't like platinum hits or greatest hits shit.
