- I like to do it all! Carving up the bowl, grinding in the street, flowing in the pump track, and going big in the vert section. But after a lot of hours, I realized that using the right equipment makes my experience in each of these sections way better. But I don't want to bring 4 boards to the park every night. When I discovered Qwiktruks, the quick release system for skateboard trucks, that changed everything! I walk you through a standard session at my indoor park, and the best truck, wheel and deck combos for the different sections that I have figured out through lots of trial and error.
As a team rider, the company gave me this discount code that I am sharing if you are interested in setting up your board to be instantly adaptable to the terrain:
15% DISCOUNT - Use the code "LANDLOCKEDSURFER" when you order from: www.qwiktruks....

Wow. Thanks Mark! So cool to see how you actually utilize it 👊🏼
Yo would it be possible to make an adjustable wheel base front quick truck? This would be game changer for downhill and surfksate @MarkTheLandlockedSurfer - thoughts?
Fakie to tail slide 👏👏
A QwikTruck with adjustable wheelbase would be a game changer I would buy for sure
Problem is i want a way different wheelbase for a c5, CX, Yow ect
That would be cool, like maybe with plates that are offset? But would probably put more torsional stress so not sure if it would work.
@0W3NC My solution to that is two decks. I have a tigershark with 19" wb for Smoothstar and YOW, and Whaleshark with 16.75 for all the others. 2 decks but like 7 different truck and wheel options.
@@MarktheLandlockedSurfer I guess this is the way. Thank you
6:32 is so smooth
What sort of bearings do you use with the rat Bones wheels standard with/without spacers or built-in ? I might get my hands on a set of rat Bones for bowl riding and I need to know what sort of bearings I should get for it.
Maybe I'm underthinking this, but I never really gave much thought to pairing specific bearings with specific wheels, I basically just use what I have. Should be fine with any bearings that you like no?
Great Video, How much do you pay for Skatepark indoor Mark ?
2 hour late session is $17 CAD, 3 hour earlier sessions are $28 CAD. It is an expensive habit.
Rad, but you have an amazing outdoor park, and ought not complain too much. Build some ramps or bowls and cover them with something. Teach the kids to use all the waste from the construction trades. Even in Ottawa, where trees abound I'm sure, there's enough waste for pretty much any build. Skatelite will set you back.
You're doing a good job with technique and teaching, but the future is in the youth. And wave pools.
Can you do a how to roll in video?
Like the roll-in 50-50 grind at the beginning? It is one of the tutorials I have planned for my Patreon channel if you are looking for this or other more advanced trick tutorials: www.patreon.com/SurfskateUnderground
