Palm Valley is home to a diverse range of plant species, many that are rare and unique to the area, including the red cabbage palm (Livistona mariae), which gives the area its name. There are around 3,000 adult palms and thousands of juveniles.
We visited there in 1991.
*** TOWING NOTICE INFO ***
Some FREE Expert* information on 4x4ing with a trailer/Van people...
a) AIR DOWN the towee's tyres!!alot..to around 12psi ish...you don't need worry about tires coming off like turning vehicles..
b) WHEN you do become bogged with a trailer/van...ALWAYS MAX TRACK/TRAXX etc whatever it is that you are towing - FIRST!!!
WHY??
Well the reason for this is, by making sure the trailer/van is NOW able to move with little resistance, you are therefore NOW removing the main reason (sand anchor) from the getting bogged situation.
You do this because NORMALLY...
when NOT TOWING, you would drive the 4x4 vehicle through the same such obstacle without any problems whatsoever yes??
BUT now, with a trailer you ALWAYS become bogged??
Therefore to rectify this ALWAYS GETTING BOGGED TOWING issue, since you can't delete or dump the trailer/van (sand anchor) instead, ENSURE trailor/van is ON AND ROLLING ON RECOVERY TRACKS which in doing so, you WILL NOW therefore be removing the main reason for the getting bogged from the equation...
If you have any left over traction devices, apply under the 4x4s rear wheels and drive off not so fast your rear wheels throw the device out the back!
TRY it!! you'll be blown away that you didnt know about this earlier..!?!?
Yourself and everyone towing can all thank me later 👍👍👍
Cheers 🍺🍻

100% see how much sand is in front of the trailer wheels?
Epic episode lads, the character in those boys in the GQ is GOLD. ADDS HUGE value to the episode
Cheers mate!
The only way to tow in places like that is big wide tyres on the trailer and drop them to 12psi. That place has not changed in 15 years 😂 We all got caught out there too! Great video mate as always 🤠👍🍻
I love waking up on Sunday mornings to watch your adventures, keep up the good work !
Me too
Awesome episode everyone, what a great trip. Definitely need to release those flano’s.
Thanks mate!
how'd u get stuck out there ? lol
Swear I already watched this on Friday 🤔
haha...agree...but it was pretty good, happy to watch again 😊
Tyler published a draft by accident
Me too
Nah man, it was Sam Young in his 80
I thought the same .....
Your probably sick of people telling you, but I found in the dry fine sand 6-8psi depending on tyre side wall thickness, bead lockers etc. Once the sidewalls are bagged right out it will float across the top of the sand. I did a lot vehicle recovery all over Australia when I was in the Army.
I have been watching your channel for a while now and this episode is by far one of the best. The hours of editing really shows. Awesome scenery, amazing place.
Appreciate it!
Awesome entertainment and involving family and friends in your passion is next level.
Killin it with the drone shots Tyler! 👌🏻Awesome seeing the scenery and giving a different perspective of where you’re driving 👍🏼
Appreciate it!
Great ep thanks for sharing
This is a work of art Tyler & Demi, thank you for all those late nights and "rest" days working on the edits.

Great episode. I’ll definitely be getting one of those shirts.

I know I keep saying it but that is amazing scenery 👍 Thanks for taking us with you ..
Thanks 👍
Excellent video. You've shown the area very well. It's stunning out there. I lived in Alice Springs for 8 years. I've been to all these places. We live in WA now, would love to head back one day to see it all again.
Cheers mate, awesome area out there!
Great video. Having the two rogues along added to the entertainment. 😂
Nice one.......love these episodes 🤙👍
52:50 Uluru is the tallest monolith in Australia but Mt Augustus (WA) is the biggest.
Rising 717m above the flat plains which surround it, Mount Augustus covers an area of 4,795 hectares, making it one-and-a-half times larger than Uluru (3,330 hectares). It has a central ridge, almost eight kilometres long, and it is estimated to be more than 1,600 million years old.
The easiest ways are from Carnarvon or Norseman.
Tyler, as usual awesome videos, the two ring inns Berto and Seano, what a couple of characters...looking forward to seeing you and your compadres on the next adventure, brilliant stuff.
Appreciate it mate!
Top show guys, thank you.

Try using bushman's next time beautiful insect repellent and the one with the green lid it actually has sunscreen in it and you can spray both of them like the on your face as well just make sure you shut eyes and mouth.
Gidgee trees are another good source of insect repellent especially when in flower grab a handful of leaves and a bit of water mash into a lathering paste and spread over body
That was awesome again
“The Best” 4wd channel in the world!
Thanks mate!
Those two young guys are hilarious 😅😂😅
Give them a hard time for me. They deserve it😊
Enjoyed your video Tyler as usual this one is probably one of your best . How is your dads Mux has he had any dramas with it since he's had it like Turbo failure or CV's breaking etc . I have a 2019 dmax so far one Turbo. Cheers Mate
How’s the serenity 👍, I need to do that trip in my GQ
Great vid....
We already watched this last week 😮
Bloody put Burto and Seano on full time or what? The bloody shenanigans are a crack up
Another great episode ..Parked not bogged..
Brilliant mate 300 times 🤙🏻🏴
How was the track conditions of the northern section that you did?
Manageable in a 4wd with usual upgrades, AT’s, upgraded suspension etc?
Great video!
Great video love the scenery I rushed through there last year but next time I’m taking the kids
Oh and a what a brain storm you had by taking two clowns with you on this trip 😂
Nice one
Sunset at the rock is amazing u should have dine kings mate i think its better then uluru
Hey mate, what's the road condition like out of finke to alicespring and how long you do you think it takes one straight run an no detours? An what tyre pressures would be recommended? Going up there to live an teach. Just getting idea of the roads in an out.
Are that tires in the golden nissan Maxxis Razr mt? And what is the tire pressure in the both the vehicle and the trailer?
Cool to see the 3 generations
Tylerr~ how great trip.
Was disappointed in the boys eating cheese twisties in the last episode (should be chicken) but they made it up with blasting a bit of The Outfield at the end there.......
Next time you go out that way take a black light with you. Anything white will show up in the dark but most of all it's the Scorpion they actually glow at night with the black light.
And make sure you check your socks and Boots before you put them on your feet so there's no spiders or scorpions in there
What a trip. Goon one. 👍
I hope you immersed yourself in the atmosphere that gave rise to the smash hit of 1983, stop dragging my jumpsuit 'round.
Those shirts look the goods
I’d love to do a trip like this one day.
I've been hunting and looking everywhere for the fire pit that you guys have.
So if you don't mind where did you get it from and how much thank you
Its from 'Drifta Stockton' mate
Hey mate, what's the song at the 36.05 minute mark please? Loving the footage
How's the new engine performing? Great scenery too!
Yep all going well mate!
Love your two mechanic mate's commentary , can't get much more Aussie
Amazing how much the small trailer load gets you bogged compared to the other vehicles, would you take a trailer for the extra comfort or go light next time?
Not a small trailer - probably 1800-1900kg. A baby in a swag is not gonna happen, take the trailer.
Agree babies are difficult to travel with and trailer is the better option. Just a bit surprised how hard it is to tow thought it would float a bit better.@@einfelder8262
@@joblogs1072 The trailer is half the weight of the tow vehicle, so it won't "float" any better than the car. I have towed my camper through the Simpson, but it is much lighter at less than 1000kg loaded, and it runs 285 75 16 rubber, nice and wide and long footprint at 14psi, so nothing like the drag of the Opus megaweight.
Drop air out of ur trailer aswell will help alot
Give us the flannie! 😁
Uluru is amazing in person isn’t it
Double up legend
Would 255/85r16 tires fit on the trailer ?
Not sure, looking at putting bigger ones on but not sure what will fit so will have to work it out
@@TylerThompson90 Yep bigger trailer tyres would help prevent or lessen digging in to to sand, mud.
Everything’s ‘cool’ hey Tyler.
Pretty cool
trick i just learnt when cracking an egg hold it about 5 ish inches above the pan and drop it once you get your eye in they crack clean in half .
How did you go about putting a child seat in the GQ/GU? would be keen to see a short ep on it or inst post as i have a GU.
They go straight in mate
Sweeeeeet.
Mux winner again. Nearly every episode.
Ahh well, worth a second like..😊
Demi should do OF. She’s smokin!!
👍
How much did ya pay for a tyre in Alice?
$600
How would you rate tires from Maxxis are they any good ?@@TylerThompson90
Driving when play phone are no good. But how about drone 😂😂
Literally like the video before i watch it everytime because i know its going to be a banger
Cheers!
Have you done a chainsaw safety course. Haha
I teach chainsaw safety classes on the weekends
Me to.must have heat stroke.😊
No AC in the green GQ lads ???
Na compressor was broke
@@TylerThompson90 ouch
Lightweight not for heavyweights 😅
2nd, haha
Do you realise 10 people have drowned in Ellery creek big hole and no one has ever been found 😂😂😂
Why make your videos so long
First 🤦♂️🤣
He posted this Friday, so those whom saw it Friday actually saw it first. Then he pulled it down later & reposted it today.
@@ianweal3081 first for today though 👌🤣
Bloody white fella camping build a fire on the earth mate your not in ya backyard
