This committee is useless. Sponsorship should have been garnered the minute Busan decided it was throwing its hat in the ring for the Expo. Time for Hybe and BTS to stand up and say “you want this concert, you want us to pay, well here is what we want” and put the military exemption up front. I think it’s time that BTS used the massive influence that they have to make sure they themselves are looked after. The politicians aren’t in it for them, they are using them. BTS don’t deserve this level of disrespect.

The Busan Expo Committee wanted to take advantage of the power of BTS & ARMY by requesting a free concert to be held there so as to promote and draw more attention to Busan. Yet they didn't want to sponsor or contribute at all. These officials are quite greedy and cunning indeed. Like that guy who suddenly raised up Taehyung's hand and proudly posed for their promotional photos.

This has been a nightmare from the get go. The guys should never have accepted to be ambassadors. They are in chapter 2, which would’ve been the perfect excuse to say no bc they’re all resting, traveling and have different schedules. Praying that the guys are protected and can survive unharmed from the stupid politicians.

We could take a concert online now on Hulu or whatever stream whoever they would like and pay for the tickets. It would give to them income, not take it out of their pockets. If they want to do it for the fans stream it and do something later. BTS you've got this!

BTS, BigHit and now HYBE have always done things to help in a societal way around the world. They were asked if they would help in obtaining the Expo with a concert and could they contribute the cost by not receiving any pay for participating. Yes, BTS will always help their country.
But HYBE is only involved in the expense they incure for their wardrobe, engineers setting the music up, the light shows, there are always fireworks. Dancers, props and all those things to put on a show at the quality of a BTS performance and it is extremely expensive and I don't think HYBE was requiring that they be given a budget.
They were going to expose our boys to horrible conditions, danger and also the fans. BTS is concerned for the safety of their fans but we are more concerned for them.
This whole expo situation has begun in a very bad way and the politicians are continuing with even worse things.
At this point no matter how much HYBE will not want to cancel since they do keep their commitments to their fans this situation is beyond the control of HYBE and they should not feel stuck in a hard spot because they already said they would be giving us a concert.
HYBE must scrap this whole EXPO thing. Wash their hands. Not one fan anywhere in the world will hold it against HYBE. We know they will plan something in the future for us and we are very happy to pay. Sure who doesn't like free but HYBE will not be held to the word of a free concert because of extenuating circumstances attempting to tie HYBE's hands.
I hope HYBE scraps this to hell unfortunately but it falls on the politicians and planners. They can still attempt the bid but not with BTS. They are world-class famous and anyone that approaches them should treat them with a lot of respect. They are young compared to those politicians in the photo shoots but BTS has earned a highly respectable place through their extremely hard work for 10 years.
We the fans, Army, say "HYBE don't do it! We don't need a free concert from a situation like this." We gladly pay for their concerts. If they have 3 days in a row we buy tickets for all three days.
It's a nice gesture about a free concert but it is not a thing that Army needs.
Those people are not having respect for our BTS just like they don't respect the citizens well, BTS will not be involved.
Mr. Bang is a excellent top-notch businessman and perhaps he could speak to those people in a meeting and tell them what is what. BTS is his creation he has taken care of those boys to manhood and he will not let anyone abuse them. Those days are gone.
Army does not need a free concert.
I hope more Armys read this and get on Twitter and contact the politicians. That is what we always do to anyone around the world that attempts to mess with our boys (men now).💜

But if that concert for the EXPO was not free? WE would be paying to the politicians. It's not ok for HYBE and BTS to do it instead, though.

    • @melanyblake1470
      @melanyblake1470 2 года назад

@@smileyz1054 I mean the politicians have just now decided that HYBE should pay for everything for the EXPO to be set up.
The EXPO is so the World Expo Fair of 2030 can take place in S. Korea.
That fair in 2030 would bring a lot of money to Korea because businesses from all over the world would go to Korea to show off their merchandise to make sales to companies from all over the world that are interested in their products. So many people would be traveling to Korea. All the hotels, restaurants, taxi service would make so much money.
This concert on Oct 15, 2022, is to convince the World Expo committee that they should pick Korea. The concert is so that the committee can see everything Korea has to offer and that's why they should be picked.
Because BTS is extremely famous the Korean politicians that want to win this bid asked HYBE if they would help the country with a concert. The country can not pay for this concert but would HYBE be willing to do it free to help win?
That is why HYBE is not charging to see the concert because it is not a concert where anyone will earn money. If HYBE is doing it to help the country without getting paid HYBE is not going to charge because the point is not, as usual, to have a concert and make money. But HYBE is going to pay for everything that it costs to put on a concert and most importantly at the level of a BTS concert. All the outfits the members wear, all the props, the fireworks, backup dancers, the engineers that set up the music, the light show. The staff that manage setting up the stage, caring for the needs of the Idols, make-up staff, hair, helping them to change outfits, and security. There is so much that is required to put on a concert and a BTS concert has nothing but the best and HYBE is not going to sell tickets to cover all that cost which is in the millions.
But now the politicians want HYBE to be in charge of organizing and paying to set up all the expo not only the part having to do with the concert.
This was never in the original plans and agreement. But the politicians know that now that the free concert was already announced HYBE is stuck and can't let down the BTS fans. The politicians are very corrupt and will do things to take advantage of people and that's what they want to do to HYBE by telling them to pay to set up all the expo.
The location the politician was planning to have it was a very bad location. Everybody would have to stand. There are no seating accommodations. That old factory is shut down. There are no restrooms. No parking. You have to leave your car in the village and walk up a hill for a couple of hours. The road is very small. There is no possibility for emergency vehicles. It is a very dangerous location that is not for a concert. The members would have used the old factory for their dressing rooms and that building is falling apart. Usually, renovations are made but right now it's about 5 weeks for the concert and nothing has been done. The boys can't be in a dangerous place. The audience can't all be standing for 100,000 people? No restrooms no planning. But this is how the politicians were handling it so they would only pay very little to prepare where the concert would be. Somehow it was decided that place was bad and dangerous and that's when the Olympic stadium was chosen but now it is going to cost the politicians to use the Stadium and they want HYBE to pay for everything.
That is acting in bad faith in business practice and making major decisions this late. Those politicians are corrupt, they don't care about endangering lives. Just like we saw them when the announcement was made and there were all these little old men in suits salivating at the mouth for all the money they were going to line their pockets with that is all they care about.
HYBE should not allow them to pull this dirty change on them just because they know that HYBE keeps their commitment to their fans.
If those politicians do not follow through with their end HYBE has to pull out. HYBE agreed to pay to put on the concert only not all of the EXPO to take place this coming October.
The EXPO has to have amusement park rides, food stand vendors, grounds keepers, security and so much more everything that is found at carnivals. Why should HYBE do that?
I still think that we should back HYBE at least by them knowing that if push comes to shove we the fans, Army supports them in whatever they may need to do.
If it is necessary to pull out we know HYBE will make it up to us. But they just should not let those politicians try to use their corrupt ways to manipulate them.
I hope it all works out for HYBE, our boy's BTS, for us Army, and hopefully Korea wins the bid for the 2030 EXPO. That would be a great thing for Korea.💜💜

Do not be so naive. We are talking about BIG CORRUPTION here, political, economical. Too many risks, physical and financial and reputation at stake for Hype/BTS, if they do not play along. Those people trapped them, via the artiste’s parents. They lured them into doing something, for the good of Korea if they win the bid, etc…BTS is the milk cow for the government, the chicken with the golden eggs. probably, not the only ones.
Proof? Why do you think they raise the price of hotel rooms in Busan for the concert, so outrageously all those people want to milk the cow on Hybe/ BTS and on ultimately on ARMY.
Should ARMY spread the word? What word? Denounce all over the planet the Busan corrupt mayor’s team for playing dirty? Cancel the free concert? “Encourage” the Busan mayor’s team to pay for the concert? To split expenses? Or let Hybe/BTS deal alone because they know better than us?

Just put things at the right place, please, and stop pointing fingers at Hybe.
Maybe the only thing to blame on Hybe is to have been very naive.

AND, the fact that the mayor approached Jimin’s father to get BTS to consider being ambassadors is so manipulative in itself! At this point I want them to cancel it all, denounce ambassadorship and let Busan come up with what they want.

And it reflects negatively as it puts pressure on them; for one side, the promotion of Korea (culture, people, language, etc), spotlight is good for the country and HYBE and they deserve the honor, they worked very hard and it is to be proud of.
But, on the other this has gone for long, and especially with the military exemption /delay issue as the public sees it negatively because no one should should exempt (no one, regardless of being a citizen of x age, job, etc should be made to serve, this is all a political mater after all that carries ok since '53) and they're the ones who have the pressure, feel pulled to a corner/wall.

I was already annoyed by how long it's taking them to make a decision over the Military. Exempt or Enlist, how many years do the government need to make a decision. Because of that people think BTS asked for it when it was literally the other companies who had a meeting for their idols. BTS legit said they will go when called. Even the choice of decision for any of these issues don't seem to be in BTS's hands.
They work so hard to reach where they are, an now people expect them to not just work more but their own hard earned money into their concert. On top of all that, make people question them because of Gov never ending polls and statements. I don't even know how this is a break anymore. THIS IS WHAT YOU CALL MILKING THE GROUP.

I am very angry with how they now expect BTS/HYBE to pay for this when it's a bid that Busan gov't wants. I heard they even went to some of the guys parents to convince them to participate so that in and of itself is a red flag. Then the committee wanting it to be at an unsafe and poor security location is another red flag. This wanting BTS/HYBE to pay is a third red flag. So 3 strikes and you're out, I wish the guys could just cancel the concert and their ambassadorship but not sure if that would create more of a backlash for them. At the very least I hope they let it be known we'll do the concert but that is the end of our active/unpaid involvement. It's clear that they are being used and frankly disrespected. The committee is acting very unprofessional and very suspect. Tbh, even from that ceremony where BTS were named ambassadors the writing was on the wall with how this committee just wants to parade them around. The way the guys were grabbed, arms held at odd angles etc displayed this committee's mindset. I just want BTS to be okay and safe and I hate when anyone shows them disrespect. 😡

I'm suspicious..... perhaps I'm a bit overly cynical about politicians right now, considering, but I'm thinking that the chain of events here might be as follows: Gov't requests BTS/HYBE's assistance in winning the Expo bid. BTS agree; promotional concert is scheduled. We've done this: now BTS and HYBE are asked to 'absorb' the costs of the free concert. (This might help explain why the Proof Collectible was priced so high, recouping some of this huge loss.) HYBE either have to take the financial hit and follow through on the concert, or cancel it and open themselves and BTS to intense criticism. Post-concert, BTS are declared exempt for their *first* effort at helping secure the bid, with the understanding that they will continue as Expo ambassadors until the decision is made. Meaning that future 'promotional' events may continue, with HYBE, of course, being asked to absorb the costs each time.
Basically, this is extortion in the name of patriotic duty, with a reward for 'donations' dangling behind it. At this point, going through with the concert is pretty much a necessity; however, the way to avoid further entanglements is.... for the boys to officially resign as Expo ambassadors in December and all enlist with Jin. :sigh: It might prove better for their reputations in the long run. Certainly it'll prevent them and their company from being taken advantage of this way.
That's IF I'm in any way right, which I would rather think I'm not, but we've already seen how greedy Busan's officials are.

I am not Korean so there is not much I should say but it does seem that BTS should all go in with Jin for many reasons.
It would be better protection against the harassers, they all go in and come out at the same time and resume their careers which I think that's what they are planning.
All the members have been building up their bodies physically more than they do for their concerts. At this time they have been putting out a lot of solo work and I see that as a way for the fans to have material from them even if they are away. A concert recording of their last LA concert is coming out. There is so much that HYBE is putting out that even if the members are gone the fans still get new material from BTS. Basically, HYBE is making sure that out of sight does not become out of mind because there will be so many new ways to keep watching BTS.
I do think that at this point HYBE should make an ultimatum demand to the politicians and if they don't want to comply with HYBE they should walk away.
Let them figure out what they will do. Meanwhile, HYBE can arrange something to make up for this concert and I would even be willing to buy my ticket.
This free concert was for a certain reason but if they are going to be extorted forget it.
We will back HYBE in what they need and make arrangements among us HYBE and Army. We are a family and we should back HYBE.💜

I've actually helped organize a music event years ago and there are steps you need to do before you make an announcement of a "free" concert. At the top of the list is securing your sponsors. Your sponsors need to be given clear and strict contracts that state they will donate XYZ amount. Once you know who is paying what and how much money you have coming in, than secure the venue. Why hype the public with promises of a free concert, when you don't even know who's going to pay it. I guess Hybe never heard of the Frye Festival scandal of 2018, since they're in Korea? It's like you going into a store fill your chart with a lot of goodies and when you go to the cashier you don't have the funds to pay any of it. Yes, we all want nice things but if you don't have the money, well you can't have it. I hope they can sort this out ASAP, because in the end it's going to be Hybe and BTS that are going to look bad. It always happens that way. The public doesn't remember the people standing back stage, they only remember the person holding the mic.

It makes me very angry that bts hiy cut his career at the highest point, after having achieved everything with a lot of sacrifice of years! It is silly to think that they "want to go" to a military service that is known to have all kinds of abuse, that it is stress and violence and that they can even be physically injured and left with traumas like many who have gone! and more being idols like others suffered bullying!!
When could they be doing music and tours that they couldn't do because of the whole pandemic!

@@inessacco9970 if I’ve learned something thru the years is that we all have an agenda; some people a good one, others not so good. Think about it: I believe Bang PD put the boys in BH Music for one reason only and that’s so no one, not the fans, not anyone at Hybe nor the government could tell them what to do. He made BHM a private company. Remember Hybe work for BHM not the other way around. This is why the boys decided to enlist; so when they come back they can openly express their opinions. If they were exempted the government would have had a say in anything the boys did including telling them what to do because they “owed” the government.
Also in regards to 🪖, I’m glad Jin ended up in a smaller boot camp. Yes there were a few things leaked, but above all, that boot camp has kept him safe to the point where just recently a trainee who recognized him said something like that’s Jin and his whole platoon got in trouble. I hope they all end up in the same place.
      My opinion anyway 🥰🤬😂

I am a strong believer in signs telling you NOT to do something. To not force something to happen. There have been too many issues from the start with this 'Expo' thing. From the awkward photo op at the conference. The lodging scams. Almost throwing BTS under the bus for poor location choice (the first one could have been a death trap it sounds like and this glass scare house???). Not having enough seating. Not having enough food, water, porta pottys, or emergency services, (not gonna even ASK about sufficient police and security presence). Entities not wanting to pay for the concert....we could go on and on. My FIRST FEAR: I don't want innocent people to be caught in the middle of anything shady or to become collateral damage in a f'ed up game that greedy people are playing. I don't want to see anyone hurt because of manipulative BS. I don't want Busan to get defamed by shady political criminals. I don't want HYBE to be made out to be the villain in all of this because they wanted to help not just Busan, but the country win this bid, I don't want BTS (the brand) to be the scapegoat if anything goes wrong, I don't want the members (as individuals) to have to live with the fallout of them trying to give back to their fans. If this 'free concert' is causing this much hassle, is it worth it? Can they scrap the whole "bid" agenda? Would the people of Busan appreciate a full free concert that is well planned from the start, without all of this chaos? Would they be willing to wait? Because the politicians don't care about BTS or the Fans, or the People, they are chasing the dollar $!

Would love to know the details on how this agreement came about because if there is corruption involved....and it sure seems that way....can it come back to bite the families of the members? I can not figure out what is going through their minds. The thing that gets Hybe money for stuff like this is ticket sales, which they won't be getting here. Yet the number of people planning to travel internationally to get there and then spending money on food, services, and accommodation in Busan is very large, and they are already getting price gouged. The amount of money that will be pouring into the Busan economy in the days surrounding this event is going to be massive. And Hybe/BTS benefits from none of it. The fact is, with some planning, BTS could have a concert in the middle of the Gobi Desert and just as many fans if not more would show up. From an international perspective, this concert has always looked like BTS/Hybe was doing Busan a favor to help with their Expo bid, and potentially get some additional support for military decisions. The politicians may feel like they have set themselves up to come out on top with this heavy handedness after the imagined spurning from the venue change, and perhaps on the playing field of South Korean politics they have. But I can't imagine anyone from outside the country who can't see their behavior for what it is: disgusting, short-sighted, and an overall detriment to public opinion and confidence in how South Korea runs things and the behaviors that propagates. Honestly, the only thing that would save face at this point is if the committee takes responsibility and pays for the things that everyone already thought they were supposed to pay for in the first place.
