Ten's native language is Thai, he learned English at school (second language), then Korean (third language) in order to work at SM, THEN Chinese (fourth language) to debut with WayV, and Japanese probably as a hobby. Him and yang yang is really are language genius, how the hell they learnt so many languages, here I'm struggling with only 1 language 🤣
9:34 FR 😂 Anyway, Ten's English accent is definitely not like a Thai accent! I've heard Thai people's accent a lot; it's so unique 😂. I would say his accent is more neutral; he doesn't have any specific accent. I'd say he's more fluent in English than in Thai 😂 because firstly he went to an international school, and furthermore, he went to Korea when he was 17, so he's been learning Mandarin and Korean since then! He sometimes forgets how to speak Thai and doesn't even get Thai jokes when it's his native language😂.
Yes so true 😂 I've watched his reality shows in Thailand and it's so funny that they have to explain him the jokes first but he still didn't get it though 😂.
I think the accent you are hearing when Ten speaks English is a slight British accent. For most of his education he attended an international school in Thailand that was founded by a British education program, so I think the teachers he honed his English vocabulary around were probably British. I have a feeling he developed a slight British accent and way of pronouncing some words because that is what he was exposed to when he was learning English, which is why the way he says things in English might sound different to you. Plus, he speaks at least 5 languages, therefore, when he is in an environment where he is speaking more than one language at a time, sometimes the way a word is pronounced can get muddled. However, if you spend time getting to know Ten you will start to notice that his accent and proficiency in each language gets better and better the longer he sticks to speaking that language. For example, if he only speaks English for a prolonged period of time, you will start to hear his pronunciation get clear and clear and he will sound more and more like a native speaker. As he has explained in the past, the more he speaks in a specific language in a day the more his brain begins to think in that language and it becomes more natural for him. Which is why, like Yangyang mentioned, when he has been asked what language does he dream in, he says he dreams in whatever language he has been speaking the most that day. If he is in Korea and he has been speaking Korean most of the day he will usually dream in Korean or if he is in China and they have been speaking Mandarin all day he will dream in Mandarin, etc.
I'm loving your channel! The amount of WayV content you've watched and you're watching I appreciate it. They're the best and need to be praised. Especially TEN such a hardworking and dedicated person he's, it's so amazing to see him grow and being loved by people.
Yes actually, please don't stop reaching to them, there might not be recent and new content, but there's still a lot to react to them. I'll appreciate it if you continue to do that ❤
3:11 makes so much sense, personally i thought he spoke english like as a first language like johnny and mark but i was quick to realize that wasnt the case
All kpop idols lipsync sometimes for music show performances and stuff like that. Actual concerts and stuff no, but for recorded music show performances and stuff, the venue and show are who chooses whether an artist lipsyncs or not, sometimes they have no choice if they want to perform on stage at all.
8:55 I feel like it’s bad in all languages. Like REALLY bad. In korean, words are “spelled” the same, but with small differences, it’s easier to read, but due to pronunciation, it gets hard, especially for foreigners. Yangyang didn’t know “heat” in Korean, so he was confused when the lady said that. Then, she said “microwave” in i’m assuming english and he understood. I’ve also seen countless of times foreign idols accidentally cursing because they pronounced the words incorrectly or left a part of the word out. IDK IF THIS MAKES SENSE. this is just what i observed, im not korean so I’m just assuming based on what i’ve seen and heard. 12:52 For ten and yangyang, they speak english mainly during lives. They don’t speak it the most, but since most of these clips are from lives, it seems like they do 13:34 They usually learn these languages BEFORE debut. Yangyang knows German because he lived in Germany for a lot of his life. He had to learn both Mandarin and Korean, Mandarin because he’s in a cpop group and korean because he’s in Korea. He learned spanish in school. Ten is the same if you watch older vids he was actively learning Mandarin as they were filming. 14:03 Spanish is not easy for me 😭 im hispanic but I can’t speak spanish 🥲 and it’s because i was adopted by an english speaking family, so I never learned it fluently. spanish seems easy to EVERYONE, even yangyang said he took spanish because he thougjt french was harder but he realized spanish was just as hard 😭
It's so funny because I'm not a english speaker, I'm still learning, so, when I'm watching videos in english it help me a lot, thank u hahaha. Anyways, i like your videos so much 💚
Indonesian not hard, i think haha Maybe because WayV learned the formal version of the Indonesian language so it seemed difficult and confusing them, originally we spoke freely without relying on grammar
Before I used to speak Indonesian. It's kinda easy cuz I born in Malaysia and moved to South Korea when I was 7yo And now I mostly forgot my malay and Indonesia
I love your videos, I don't speak English, I understand it a little, but I'm not an expert, I'm a native Spanish speaker but I still love your videos, I hope you continue uploading many more, better if they are from groups of boys, ily.

neutral is a VERY good way to put it, its like he doesnt really put emphasis on some words

Yeah, I noticed that one too. Ten's English has his Thai nuances. Even Shinee Key noticed that during his interview on Bambam's house.
He meant that when they lipsync for music video shoot. Not live performance

5:19 You don't know how loud and chaotic this unit is. Even Haechan, Jungwoo and Johnny can't handle them sometimes lol
Please never stop your nct/wayv reactions
3:07 broo I've seen so many reactors who thought Lucas was fluent in English and honestly, I get it XD he speaks few English words so confidently XD
