if a German 75mm pak 40 could one-shot a sherman i wonder why the needed the type 49 240mm howitzer. i guess they wanted to eliminate the chance of missing aha.
well in real life, they are not used on island bases of japan, most of type 45 240mm howitzers are in philippines and used for bataan and corregidor siege, 2/3 of them are in mainland japan for coastal defense
+Rasta Toljin I use to think the U.S. took out most of Japans artillery before an invasion but the Japanese were appearantly better at concealing their defenses than I thought previously.
me262 where easily taken out by the 50 cals on the mustang and bombers and had massive engine problems with more maneuverability issues then the 109. 262's where and Europe with the Germans going after B-17 and they didn't have any luck. the 262 didn't see action in the pacific cause it was a German aircraft but the Japanese made a copy called the "kikka" and failed at it

I didnt think the Japanese ever used heavy artillery against the Americans, due to the Allies bombing Japanese islands by air and sea before invading.
wrong, they used plenty of them
+Christoph meister thanks for confirming the info :)
+Rasta Toljin interesting, I enjoy hearing info I did not know. :) were these at Okinawa and Iwo as well?

Ђорђе Добрић the b29 would be to far up in altitude for the flak gun or the radar. that's why flak or interceptors went after enola gay and box car
