- Ireland's new taoiseach has issued a state apology to the families of 48 people killed in the Stardust nightclub fire in 1981, after a decades-long campaign for justice.
The apology came after an inquest which ruled the fire victims were all unlawfully killed.

@@dekriecastle-cook327Because it took 43 years of fighting for justice to get an apology for the way the families were treated. Slur on those who were “unlawfully killed “ as one tribunal said it was arson. 48 innocent young people lost their lives. May they rest in peace 🙌❤️❤️
