Flown on these twice. Once heading to Afghanistan, the other coming home. The most comfortable and smoothest ride I’ve ever had, counting civilian flights. The Cadillac of military aviation!
Thank u for ur service awesome to hear about the ride
Makes you love America even more. What a beautiful bird
There is no one single reason to love "America" !
@@swyntopia Exept that we aren't communist, we practically provide funding for most countries, we're the number 1 superpower, and our government doesn't get in our business....those are all reasons to love America!
I once saw this beautiful plane at a local airshow and went inside. It's as nimble as a fighter jet and can take off straight up. It also moves in reverse and can back into a parking space like a car.
It’s crazy how relatively quiet it is! I remember hearing C-141’s take off back in the day and they were BEYOND loud!!
Wiggy74 had two flights on 141s back in the day. Either you froze your ass off or sweated to death. 👍 Good times
Try a B-1
Sew Ahem How about an F-15 Zulu launch
Never gets old, projecting who we are around the world!!!!
Awesome takeoff of the giant C-17!
To be a C-17 pilot based in Charleston would be living the life. Awesome aircraft and an absolutely beautiful city full of great people.
Here in Alaska these planes fly over my property regularly sometimes 3 to 4 at a time on training missions at about 700 to 800 feet altitude along with F22 etc. When they do it always reminds me how lucky I am they're on my side.
Kenai River - awesome comment! Amen! I feel very lucky and fortunate as well! God bless America! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Olá! Sou brasileiro, e devo dizer, amo o Estados Unidos da América, e como vocês falam, Deus abençoe a América
Those people got to see a show when they watched the C-17 Globemaster take off. That is a large and powerful airplane, and it is the newest in the cargo fleet, and can fly to anywhere in the world to deliver cargo, and personnel.
No crippling, worthless, "green," technolgy, only sheer strength, grace, and power in this beauty!
I remember outprocessing from Kelly AFB,TX a few days after loading a belly full of 30mm ammo in a C-5, going to the desert as part of Desert Shield. That thing had to use almost the entire runway take off. I watched in amazement as that behemoth took off. Then, while i was watching the lift off, the front, left nose gear tire came off n bounced down the runway!! I kid you not!! I ran down to OPS and they already knew about it. They had to let it continue the take off. They came back around in about 20 minutes doing a low n slow flyby so everyone could see it n determine what to do. They decided to go out over the Gulf of Mexico n dump some fuel. About two hours later, it came back in for a landing. The pilot rode that thing with the nose gear up off the runway for just about the entire length of the runway. He gently let it down and was able to exit the runway with no other damage. One of the most amazing things I'd ever seen.
Id hate to be the guy/gal who signed off that the wheels were securely fastened...

The only thing I can say is "WOW!" I have walked through one of these at some of the air shows.
Very impressive, as indicated by the folks taking photos at the end of the runway in this video.
I can watch videos like this all day
I’ve seen that plane take off on a short runway. It was insane watching the power and capabilities of that aircraft as it was rumbling to get off the ground.
The C-17 and the KC-10 are my favorite of the FAT birds. With that awesome USAF grey.
Beautiful takeoff. I got goosebumps.
Peggy Bush thank you kindly
Any thing made in the U.S.A. Deserves a thumbs up.
Simply amazing, beautiful, and exciting. Good onya to the US Airforce and military! MERRY CHRISTMAS from Australia!
Looks like a giant, moves like a bee. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Fantastic video!!! Love of C-17 Globemaster III! 👍
In awe of our strength and rightly so. ❤🇺🇸
Absolutely amazing with gorgeous shape. Thanks
Thank you all for your service and love and care for your country- God bless you and keep you safe 🇺🇸✈
Ya,not the first time 🇺🇸 made gr8 planes.
Ilove this thing n especially the engines on it.....
Beautiful video! Thank's for your job @VoarVideos!
I know it’s science that gets that behemoth in the air but it’s still a miracle to me.
It is a miracle indeed.
So eloquently stated.
Me too Kathlyn! Fascinating.
I had the ride of my life on a C-5. Amazing how much cargo she holds
My final flight home (1976) after being stationed in the ARMY in Germany (3 years) as a UH-1 Huey Mechanic and Assistant Crew Chief was on a C-141 Starlifter. I know Hydraulic fluid when I see it, and I saw it running down the inside fuselage wall near where I was sitting. I pointed it out to the one of the flight crew as he walked by and he said for me not to worry. They have plenty more on board if it's needed. Ya, that made me feel good.
MatthewPettyST1300 Yeah, kinda like carrying coolant and oil in the car should you need it. Sometimes, life is like that. You obviously got home safely.
My son & I walked into a C-5 cargo bay at the Salinas (CA) airshow. I thought to myself, "We could play basketball in here!"
What a wonderful jet, and what a wonderful experience to watch this jet :)

Amazing aircraft in every way .. Great video! Like ita lot!!
We're very fortunate to be Americans......
Very.
Just one word, MAJESTIC!
Sure wish I could go back in time. I would do all I could to learn to be a pilot and fly one of these for the U S of A. WAY COOL.
"For the U S of Aaaaaaaaa", LMFAO, wanker.

IF I COULD GO BACK ON TIME I WOULDED TELL MY MOTHER TO HAVE AND ABORTION AND NEVER BEEN BORN BELIEVE ME ALL THIS SUFERING
I want to do everything I can to build an emergency remote runway for these...
@@rayramos2240 then who would tell your mom to get the abortion?
This has got to be the best airport for spotters. Look at how close to the action they can get.
Yes also closer to polluted emissions
In Atlanta the runways goes across the interstate. Driving under a jet is a normal occurrence.
@@foltzenlogel
Most small town airports are like that.
Love these planes. See them all day long. I live in their flight pattern just 3-4 miles away from the base. They scream over low and slow. Awesome sight always
Me too, at March ARB, Calif.
Just shot a photo of one in the pattern today.
IN FRAME and IN FOCUS. Outstanding well done video!
Watched it again, still totally awesome !!
From DC 3 to this in my lifetime! I wonder what planes will be like in another 80 years? I’m 82 by the way!
Will the world still be here I wonder?
The planet may still be here, but I would bet that a lot of species will be dead and gone. Anybody that has children now is a damn fool IMO.
no, it goes with u,
Tim Thompson I’ve looked all around and you’re the only fool I’ve found.
@@donnebes9421 That's okay. I know there's a lot of very selfish, ignorant people who are willing to created offspring who face very, very dangerous times ahead.
Now that C17 is a beast
Beautiful
A big mighty beautiful Bird she is !!!
Very nice takeoff video.
Damn that's impressive. Haven't seen that plane before
Good........
Imran maan you said good like it’s a bomber. It’s just a cargo plane lmao
thats the C17. It replace the C141 Starlifter.
@@ubecool454 .,u number
Hey this plane is a C-17 cargo jet it's going too replace the C-5as
A thing of beauty. Absolutely amazing.
wright Brothers would be impressed where their beginning has lead to this behemoth
And the Wright Brothers were not even the first heavier than air flight. That honour goes to Sir George Cayley, some 50 years before the WB's.
@@frankish5314 who Dat ? ☻😎
@@berzerker1100 Oh dear.. I bet you think the first Transatlantic flight was made by an American as well..;)
The C-5’s cargo hold is actually longer that the brothers first flight at Kitty Hawk, not sure about the C-17’s. Lolol
I know right!
That’s an amazing shot of the C-17 takeoff
Boeing&airbus the best intheworld
Great camera work!
Awesome power!! I always expect them to be so much louder, but they're not. Incredible!
Beautiful bird...love all aircrafts...former stewardess. Excellent video !
About as good as it will ever get!! Nice post. NH
I've seen it take off once. It's just unbelievable how something so big attains the speed and takes off into the air.
that is a fact. The same with a C-5, which is bigger.
Need to see it land on an aircraft carrier
@@1979za That's not happening, the C-5 needs 4,900 feet / 1500 meters of runway to land safely.
I got to fly in one once in the military. I was like Jonathan Mardukas in Midnight Run -
"These things go down! These things go down! It's too big! It's too big! It can't go up!"
And yet it did!

Bad ass planes i remember whe. I was station at Ft Bragg NC i used to jump out of those planes we used to call it the cadillac ride.
Awesome looking machine.
Soo beautiful
God bless all our military ✈thank you for watching over us ✈ we love you...
They do not watch over us, they watch over central bankers.
Gorgeous!
Looks bad ass plane.. Amazing
I'll love United States 🇺🇸
Thank you. Where are you from?
Beautiful big bird!! Just amazing!
Amazing!
The Wright brothers would've never dreamed of something so massive could get airborne, very impressive piece of aeronautical engineering
Boy I'd love to see one of those thanks for the view James Kansas City Missouri cross the street from the downtown area
awesomeness. kitty hawk to this. I saw one fly over folly beach a few years ago. huge aircraft.
5 zszetlu
That's a monster, very impressive!!
What a beautiful Masterpiece :)
What a great shot. This plane can go from stop to off the ground in 16 seconds, so wondering if the cold weather made it more difficult. For anyone reading this, look for 2 Australian vids - one where one c-17 flew between buildings in Brisbane and one where two c-17s did a flyby off the beach of Noosa Nat'l Park.
In my day we had the C-130 and the C141 and nothing in between. The Globemaster is a thing of beauty!!
The Sound of Freedom!
Beautiful and majestic
The Wright Brothers would be blown away if they could see this.
True! I think they'd also be blown away by take-offs and landings by 747s, A-380s and the most beautiful plane ever to fly, the Concorde.
@God is Love Forgot that one! The Antonov 225 is not as majestic as the 747 or as gorgeous as the Concorde, but still mighty impressive!
Thanks for the reminder!
@God is Love Yes, I believe it is the heaviest plane in the world and has the largest wingspan of any plane in the world.
And so would the guys that actually invented the airplane.
@@gregedwards1087 Wikipedia could be wrong, but they usually be Wright! -
"The Wright brothers flights in 1903 are recognized by the Fédération Aéronautique Internationale (FAI), the standard setting and record-keeping body for aeronautics, as "the first sustained and controlled heavier-than-air powered flight".[4] By 1905, the Wright Flyer III was capable of fully controllable, stable flight for substantial periods. The Wright brothers credited Otto Lilienthal as a major inspiration for their decision to pursue manned flight."
Great footage! I can't wait to see the C-17 at the Australian airshow next week! :)
Paul Stewart EXTRA how was it?
I live in Massachusetts between Westover Airforce Base and the National Guard Base. We have C-5 Galaxy's flying day and night flying over our house. Then we also have the jets from National Guard Base flying back and force to Canadian border to NYC doing checks. Some days it can get noisy but I love the sound.
Great video......that’s one awesome plane
Does anyone remember the c-5's, how loud they used to be? We could hear them all the way over at Lakenheath from the Mildenhall Runways. The only other planes we could hear that far away were the SR71, U2 and Concorde. Now, you have to look up and SEE the c-5 to even know it's there.
Cristos Palabras c5a cargo plane, yes
Awesome video !!! Liked :)
That plane is BADASS Hands Down!
Absolutely beautiful.

Wow wow love it
I flew in these a few times when I was in the military. They feel like a funnycar with the amount of power it has, you also need ear plugs inside also because its loud. Even when you are flying they can hit the throttle and it will throw you in the seat.
what a beautiful flying beast
Flew on two C-17s. Both to Washington. Awesome piece of engineering.
I see that exact plane kinda often. The flags on the tail are the star spangled banner and the palmetto flag. Palmetto flag is South Carolina and I live in the town they’re based out of. In fact, they fly over my house regularly
Love South Carolina, hello from Spartanburg.
