It’s not that people don’t know what they’re supposed to do, they just don’t know how to do it. Too many internet instructors act like people are stupid. Feel and real is what screws most people up.
A thinned shot is way better than a chunk. Sometimes I might thin a 7 iron right onto the green from a 150 yards. The penalty for a chunk is stroke and distance.
Excellent job Michael is explaining what causes "chunking the irons" and how to overcome it! I, for one, do get an occasional chunk, usually with shots 10-15 yards off the green! I'm sure it's caused by the same upright wrist hinge!

Blade is better usually get around the target chunk just super short
