Yes, V has outgrown the POP scene entirely, not just KPOP. So glad that he is establishing himself in the jazz / R&B genres. Oh, and I learned a new term from you -- EVERGREEN SONG! It fits Tae so perfectly because, unlike a pop hit song that explodes into the scene, his songs are timeless and will have longevity and will continue to be loved as time goes by.
I agree. The genre he chose may not be that popular among the masses. Like I don't know much about jazz and r&b singers... Maybe this genre is not popular I guess. But the genre that brings people like me to the music bcz genre like pop and rock are good but for me it depends on my mood whereas my taste somewhat matches with that of V. This genre is the one which I would play all night, everyday I still can't get bored.

One of the things I admire about IU who said after they sang "ENDING SCENE" beautifully is that his voice works perfectly with other voices. I say more, he knows the moment when his voice appears and when he should harmonize, adorn the voice he is singing with, I know the power, the range of notes, the treble and the incredible growling that he has, but for being a baritone, he must have been invited in the group to leave the high notes to others and participate more in the backing and ad-libs, hence this feeling of being underestimated and supporting that may have been planted in him, but there is no exaggeration or too much adornment. An example is the beautiful version of WHITE CHRISTMAS in which there are moments where the voices are confused and V is even lower than Bing Crosby and that was beautiful!!! It was like you said, he worked hard until a few days before his military service, the IU mv, which I love, was a week before, showing how professional, talented and still underrated he is. If one day you watch "ATTACK ON BANGTAN" live in Japan you will be shocked by the protagonism it had before. I never saw V as kpop as a solo. I’m manifesting a V and Jon Batiste collab. V truly is the most versatile singer. I want to hear opera as he always sings it when he’s messing around. He is a timeless singer that is not following the latest fads and trends where music is forgotten a year later. And I agree Winter Ahead is ahead of its time and is going to be a timeless classic.

Jin said he might be rusty and was nervous, but he just wanted to be with us. And I love - really really love - that he's willing for us to see him when he's less rehearsed. He trusts us so much. It's like when Yoongi sang a song he knew he couldn't get through and asked ARMY to lend their voices. They trust us with their actual selves. And in Jungkook & Jimin's show, there's a moment when they encounter an ARMY working at a service counter and you can just SEE Jungkook relax. He gets a ton more confident speaking English at that point. There are a ton of tiny examples... it just makes me really happy to see that they really do feel safe with us.

It's titled with the song title & cover by V. It was in December 2022 as a gift to Army. I would love your opinion as I remember someone in the business questioned whether this was 1 take or he was lip syncing but we know what V is capable of. I'm sure you will enjoy it.

Tae actually did Winter Ahead in November 2022 and that was shooting the MV, so the song was already done before that date. He made sure we have enough content while he is in the military, we got: Whenever u r with Umi Fri(end)s Winter Ahead with Park Hyoshin White Christmas with Bing Crosby. That for music alone, we also got him acting with IU in her MV and a photobook under his own name. Honestly, just thinking about the amount of work he had to do while actually working on his solo album is insane
