Being in a place that's too dark and even turning on lights doesn't seem to do as much as it should to light it up has been a common recurring nightmare theme for me since childhood (and to my understanding is not an uncommon one generally) so tbh the lighting in this game feels exactly on point to me...
It seems perfectly realistic to me, especially in a building with old lights, probably in an area with light pollution, light sources can seem less effective and the dark more... effective. It's not deeper, it's not darker, it's maybe denser, but it's definitely more effective. Maybe it's just a northern Europe thing, though.

This was such a fun one! It's really inspiring to see what you can achieve as a first-time developer like this. I'm sure this took a ton of work, but it shows how even a relatively simple game with simple graphics can make for a really fun, satisfying experience :)

I'd recommend doing The Dark Urge if you start a second campaign. Not even necessarily to be evil, fighting against it is a lot of fun and a great story. I'd rec doing it for a new run because it adds A LOT of content and reactions.
When i was a kid I thought "Ms" was exclusively for when you're divorced but I don't know if that's ever been a thing or where I got that from. However, I do personally use it where possible (unless I'm replicating somewhere it's printed offically like a debit card) since my dad once made the point that why is your marital status anyone's business/why should your title be your status in regards to relationship and i liked it. So anywhere where it's not important..ordering online or something where they just want your title...I put Ms just for the principle of it 😂

Wild that in a psychological horror game with horrible demonic entities, by far the most threatening presence is an extremely creepy and aggressive karen
