Happy Thanksgiving everyone, thanks for following along and supporting my making!
I've been told that the next version of the Selpic app released Dec. 6 will add the ability to use custom images and other improvements for both the S1 and S1+. Great news :)

No mention of an indicator for ink or charge time remaining? How about a wash test until it fades off that shirt? Or a wear test to see how durable the inks are? When it does support graphics can it be used on human skin? Temp to long term (not permanent hopefully) tattoos would be a cool and profitable use for this type of handheld mobile printer. Also useful at clubs or other events instead of UV stamps, bracelets, printed paper tickets, etc.

Neat piece of tech! I think I'll wait on the next version to be sure it can do the images properly, but a label maker has always been one of those things I wanted because it is useful.. and a toy. This could be exactly what I want for my prop packaging. I'd probably set up an image template on the computer so I could just completely customize the print beforehand and avoid any kerning problems on the device - which makes me wonder about size restrictions for the image data.
It'd be neat if it let you store multiple prints so you didn't have to keep using the app to change out every line (or three lines) of the printing, but I'm guessing we mostly won't be doing lots of gcode shirt prints...

There's a black variant on Amazon for $299.99. It's not the + and was first listed yesterday. One thing I did notice was the ink cartridges supposedly have just a six month shelf life. Maybe they're trying to clear out stock of the older, smaller models.
It's clever, needs an alignment tool so you can keep adding to something such as the shirt you did. There's a 3D printing project for you!
In all honesty though, for the price it should work with any true type font you can throw at it. Four fonts with weird kerning? I don't get the reason for the limitations.
