  • In this day and age, the line that distinguishes Western from Eastern cultures tends to become not so distinguishable. Communication between those two worlds is now a given, being channeled through all kinds of technical media. On those premises, that communication and dialogue that opens up between these cultures, it goes without saying that the Church should accordingly adapt the way its message is being taught.
That message should not be limited to the safety of what has already been tried and tested, but rather, it ought to be openhandedly offered and challenged through this global dialogue. This is precisely how we get to the bottom of the truth of patristic wisdom and thus, allow it to shine. At the same time, we will also need to readjust to modern data, not by modifying the Church's sacred spiritual message, but rather, by broadcasting it in a modern "language" and overall setting. This way, the Church's identity remains throughout the course of time, while simultaneously taking up more and more spacetime; it spreads throughout the entire creation.
