  • Udaipur is one of India's premier tourist destinations. We'll take you on a tour of our budget hotel room located right in the heart of the old city of Udaipur. Just 'cause you're on a budget doesn't mean the "Venice of the East" is off limits to you.
Although our room is basic and affordable, it is comfortable. Most importantly it's just steps away from all of the major attractions. One of Udaipur's monikers is "City of Lakes", and there are rooftop views of Lake Pichola from Udai Haveli Guest House.
Even after 3 and a half months of travelling throughout India, Udai Haveli Guest House remains one of our best hotel deals and stays in all of India.

Udai Haveli was definitely one of our favourite hotels in India. It was such good value and Vikki (the manager) really was amazingly sweet, helpful and welcoming. We found quite a few great hotel deals in India.
Right now we're back at our spring house sit in New Mexico and getting ready to return to salmon season in Alaska next month! Thanks a million Marthe for continuing to tune in to us. 🤗🥰🤗🥰

It is very very cheap, , decent hotels generally start at 10X of what you paid in udaipur, especially during winters which is the ideal time to travel rajasthan. Nobody goes there in summer. Indians travel to cooler hill stations in himalyas or south india during summers

Hello Ashutosh. We were in Udaipur in December and the temperature was perfect. From Rajasthan we headed north to Punjab and New Delhi, where it was very cold and foggy. We hope to return to India this winter 2024 and hopefully we'll get to see more of Rajasthan. Thank you for watching our video.

Do you need to know any of the language to get by or is English pretty common?

With the price of that room, I wouldn’t mind spending a couple weeks to see the city and markets. Maybe try to do some fishing.

We found English to be quite widely spoken/understood on different levels [fluent, conversational, basic] in all the regions of India we visited. That was a good thing for us because India has 22 official languages, and just over 120 languages altogether and we knew none of them! There are also many different alphabets to go along with the different languages.

Indeed, we found some good-value hotels in India. We also found food and transportation to be priced nice. The quality and taste of the food we ate throughout India was simply astounding. We hope you make it to India soon!

Hi Roy. We had a brilliant time in India and hope to return there again later this year. We got to see a lot of the country and we learned something new just about every day that we were there. Our favourite thing to learn about was the food 😉, it was absolutely amazing. Thanks Roy for always being there for us 🥰🤗🥰🤗.

@@ACoupleofDrifters Yep, just finished the background and waiting for onboarding and flight as well. Going to Dillingham though. Somehow I missed the voicemail from Leader creek and didn’t get back in time for an interview this season. 🤷‍♂️

Hi Phillip. That's a shame we won't see you at Leader Creek this summer, hopefully we'll see you there in 2025. Have fun, stay safe (and dry and warm) and here's to a busy, bountiful season. Let us know how it goes in Dilllingham.
